I have always been awed by these natural disasters. Just want to know if there is anyone else out there who is crazy as me about this stuff as I am.

Haven’t done either, but I would rather ride over a hurricane system as it would appear to be safer. I suppose it depends on how much danger you crave.

Well i’m not that crazy about natural disasters but, chasing tornadoes seems more exciting then riding in a plane, plus you will be on land, and less likely to fall to your death.

I live straight in the middle of tornado alley and would DEFINITELY say chasing a tornado. It’s soo terrifyingly cool. Because you feel dwarfed by the immense size and mass of the whirling beast. Plus, there’s hail, lightning, thunder, rain, it’s all very intense and gives you a huge adrenaline rush.

i would say chasing tornadoes would be exciting but ir ur really that crazy why dont you fly over a hurricane and just jump out. that would be like doing both at once.

The plane may be a safer way to go while observing a hurricane; however, chasing tornadoes on the ground would probably give the excitability level a great boost.
Either way, they both sound very exciting.
You go girl.

Tornadoes and hurricanes are very awe and fear inspiring. I was never in a hurricane-but I live in Tornado Alley in the midwest and have been in the path of many tornadoes.Believe me when I say you can never imagine how unpredictable and deadly a tornado can be. Anyway if I had to choose between the two choices you have presented I guess I would chase tornadoes-though not at a very close distance!! LOL!!!

Well i have not done any of that but I just graduated from college in weather and have friends that chase storms in the plains for tornadoes and some of them have gone out and put towers out for measure conditions in the hurricanes. From what I have heard the hurricane chasing is a lot of work and chasing tornadoes can be pretty fun if you know what you are doing. I DON’T think people should be doing something like that unless you are a trained storm spotter. I am sure flying in a plane to check hurricane conditions would be fun as well.

I think it would be more exciting to be in a plane checking out the hurricane conditions.

more exciting! ab course to check out the hurricane and chasing tornadoes.

Airplanes usually fly above the storms so that would be somewhat sage. Chasing tornadoes would be more exciting because they sometime shift direction and come after YOU!
