Tornado Questions
Well there is a tornado warning in my town… I doubt that there will be one because we never have any but I was wondering what would be the safest place. We don’t have a basement and I know your supposed to go in a bathroom with a tub but the one bathroom without any windows has no tub and the ones with tubs have windows… What would be the safest room?

In a room toward the center of the house away from windows. If you have a basement go down there and stay until the warning is over. Keep as many walls in between you and the outside as possible.

You can also hug the toilet (yes hug the toilet) its anchored down pretty well, and in the room with no windows that would be best.

In any room where there aren’t any things to fall, like plates and food in the kitchen or small accessories in the living room.

My grandmother and uncle survived a tornado by standing in a closet that was the closest to the middle of the house. All that was left of the house was the closet, chimney, and the front partition of the house. Everything else was blown out of the back of the house.

Under the stairs or in a closet on the first story should be safe. The important thing to think about is will you be hit by flying debris?

Crack the window a little. It has something to do with the pressure so it won’t shatter. Take a ton of blankets and cover up in the bathtub.
The closet in the middle of the house will do too.
Be careful!

No place in your house would be safe. it would be best to evacuate the area u r living in.
