What do I do incase of a tornado?

Tornado Questions
This is my first time ever having to deal with a tornado.
Usually California doesn’t have any.. but now there’s threats close to where I live so I’m worried.
There’s no basement.. I live in an appartment.
Ground Floor..
I heard you’re supposed to be behind as many walls as possible from the outside walls.
So should I stand out in the hall?
I don’t have a bathtub to sit in either.. it’s a shower.
Any tips or help would be really appreciated!!
thanks!
p.s most my walls are mirror walls, is it dangerous to be next to those?

Go to the center most part of your home. An interior closet is your best bet and stay away from windows. In your case I would stay away from your mirror walls too. That’s potentially dangerous debris. If you can’t cover yourself with a blanket to help protect you from them if they were to break for any reason.
Odds are your apartment building has a set of emergency plans in case of fires, tornado, and etc. Talk to your manager to see if they already have a plan in place.

Shut all your doors to every room and sit in a closet with the door closed
