There aren’t any. I’d live in Texoma…near the Oklahoma border. I’ve lived in Wichita Falls my entire life and it’s a nice town. About 110,000 and it’s growing due to the AF base. Now we did have a tornado back in ’79…but there have been only a few since. Nothing major, and no real damage. The fear of tornados shouldn’t stop you from moving anywhere. Move into a house with a basement or shelter if that makes you feel safer.

There is no place in north Texas that is guaranteed to be free from tornadoes. Just because some location has never reported one does not mean there won’t be 3 within the next season. There are fewer tornadoes in West Texas.
Every single state (yes, all 50!) have had recorded tornadoes, so no place is totally immune. Some states obviously get a whole lot more than others. Texas happens to be one of the states that do get more.
There are hundreds of web sites with tornado statistics. Here are a few to look at:

http://www.tornadochaser.net/location.html
This page shows that if you look over a long enough period of time, the frequency plots are almost solid from the eastern slope of the Rockies to the Appalachians.

This page has links to a lot of very good maps, charts, graphs and other information:

You’re right, north Texas is in "tornado alley", and that includes all cities in north Texas.

There are no areas in North Texas that doesn’t have a high risk for tornadoes.
As for all of Texas, El Paso has the least risk. The further you go into the desert, the lower the risk.

Any place in the great plains from Canada to South Texas, East of the Rockies can have tornadoes.
There aren’t any towns near Dallas that are not subject to tornadoes.
After you have been here a while you won’t worry about it.
I never think about one unless it is on the ground and heading my way.

I like Plano, but I assure you that the tornadoes usually only cause minor destruction and its better than being on the south/east or gulf coast with the hurricanes or the west coast with the fires/earthquakes or the northern states with the blizzards… I’m just saying that it doesn’t matter where you go there are going to be weather issues. And as far as issues go, north Texas, Plano, has very little ot worry about. I’d worry more about the summer heat if you aren’t from a southern state.

Texas has more tornadoes than any other state in the country. North Texas is especially notorious for them, including Plano.
Tornadoes are fun though. Severe weather is thrilling.
