Almost Zero.
The chances are figured by counting the number of people who LIVE through a tornado, and by counting the number of people who DIE in a tornado.
Every year there are THOUSANDS of people who live through it, but only a couple of hundred who die.
So your chances are figured by:
10,000 lived
————–
150 died
Chances of dying in a tornado:
. . .10000/150
. .= 1000 / 15
. .= 100/ 1.5
chances are 1.5 in 100, or about 1.5%
Not zero, but very small.
your chances of getting hit by a car on a sunny day are much bigger.
