Very frequent & vivid dreams since I've been pregnant, lately nightmares, normal?
I have had very vivid dreams since I’ve been pregnant …. lately it’s been every night … I hear this is normal during pregnancy, but why?
My dream last night was so real, scared me so much & I woke up with my heart beating SOOO fast. I tried to calm down quick for my son – he was punching away at me when I woke up.
My question is, is that bad for my adrenaline to get up like that for my son??
**Read on if you want to know my dream from early this morning *lol*
My dream was: It was early morning, I was sitting on the toilet peeing (*lol* Like I do most mornings now) I had the window open in the bathroom like I normally do & all of a sudden I hear this "Beep Beep Beep…" I knew it was a weather warning thingy … I see my neighbors lights go on & a tiny wind storm tornado starts outside by the window. I run to open the door and go see my husband … he yells at me to go hide … but I want to hide w/him … we hide behind the couch by the HUGE window (Not logical to take cover by a window, I know *lol*) I look out past the road & see two or three HUGE tornado’s coming right for our home …. I grab onto my husbands arm & start praying to the Lord for safety. I knew I was pregnant in the dream & I thought are we going to die this way? Then I woke up panicked. Tornado’s scare me more than anything …

I know that pregnancy can definitely effect your dreams, but what are you doing before bed? Do you eat anything within a few hours? Or just do a normal nighttime routine?
Try to really relax yourself before bed. Take a bubble bath with some chamomile and lavender to try and relax yourself, take away the days stress and then drink a glass of warm milk. Maybe making sure you rid yourself of that stress can make a difference in what you dream at night.
I also know this sounds weird and superstition like, but get a dream catcher. I rarely dream, but when I do like yours, they are very real. My husband and I have done some moving around in the last few years, and if I forget to hang my dream catcher up, I always have very bad nightmares, but I don’t know if its the comfort factor knowing I have a dream catcher up, but I don’t have nightmares or even slightly scary dreams because of it. Like I said, I know it sounds funny, but could put your mind a little more at ease knowing its there.

Its totally normal! I’m 34 weeks and I went through a period where every night a different member of my family died in some horrible tragic way. Just another lovely effect of hormones!!
