Tornado hitting the same house twice?

Tornado Questions
So last year, on Good Friday, our block has hit by an F5 tornado. Well tornado season is here again and my mom is totally freaking out LOL. I know it’s not impossible to be hit twice but what are the chances of our house being hit twice? I guess I’m just wondering for my moms sake, ha ha. Anyway, if you’re interested in the photos here you go…

If you live in an area frequented by tornadoes, there are no *odds* or *chances* if you will get hit more than once. It’s just fate. It may never happen. Or it could happen. No one knows this, not even the best weather expert.
I’m sorry about the tornado that hit your block last year. I certainly hope it doesn’t happen again. I live in Texas in *tornado ally* so it could happen to me, too.

It’s VERY unlikely for the same location to be hit 2X, not just in 2 years, but EVER. Of course it could happen but I’ve never heard of it anywhere and I’m 47.

It was an F4 not an F5 in 4/10/2009 but there is a chance that an area could get hit again. Just keep an eye on the weather forecast, have a plan for an emergency and be safe.

One of my former neighbors had his home standing in flood water from a 6 inches in one hour rainstorm on May 6, 1991.
The next year on May 6, 1992, his house burned to the ground.
He was not living there 0n May 6, 1993.
Fateful things can happen. In the case of your Mom and others who have had such bad experiences, I pray that your Mother and others do not live through such an experience again.

I am a trained severe weather spotter, and in my training I have always been told that, even in "Tornado Alley," the odds of any one certain spot taking a direct hit from a tornado is once every 350 years. I don’t know where the National Weather Service gets that kind of data, but they have been telling that story, unchanged, for longer than the 30+ years that I have been spotting.
