There is no end of times, it has been talked about for thousands of years and is mentioned every time there is bad weather.

I think it’s said mostly by people who have never looked at the natural history of the earth, and don’t seem to be able to grasp the idea that all those things have been happening since long before people were around. Just because we’re now really taking note of them, some people think that they’re worse or more frequent. I don’t personally see any data that would support that idea, but I don’t think they care. They see those occurrences as things that bolster their theory of how the world works, and to hell with the facts
As to the specific groups that make those assertions, I think you’d be mostly looking at very fundamentalist groups, particularly of Christians. They have the notion of Armageddon and the cataclysms of their Book of Revelation that they believe in, and a lot of them want desperately to see those ideas supported, so they latch onto everything negative as "proof" of their beliefs.

This is all I could find right off. It’s from the Kings James bible.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mar 13:8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
Luk 21:9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
Luk 21:10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
Luk 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Actually, the world has ended many times in the past for many humans and other animals. Whenever the earth goes threw a tilting of the axis and the north pole changes to a different local there is much volcano activity and mountains fall and rise and pretty much screws the world up. And of course we have Ice Ages, but they arn’t as bothersom.

sorry this is so long but here is what you seek. none of what you have been told is correct. the end does not come when trouble is around. the anti Christ comes in time of prosperity. read carefully verse 7
Mar 13:5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:
Mar 13:6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mar 13:7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.
Mar 13:8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
Mar 13:9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
Mar 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
Mar 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
Mar 13:12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
Mar 13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Mar 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
Mar 13:15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:
Mar 13:16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.
Mar 13:17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Mar 13:18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.
Mar 13:19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
Mar 13:20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
Mar 13:21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
Mar 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
Mar 13:23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
Mar 13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
Mar 13:25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
Mar 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Mar 13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
Mar 13:28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
Mar 13:29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
Mar 13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
Mar 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Mar 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Mar 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

End of the age, not end of the world; meaning the corrupt systems of ruling governments.
Matthew 24:7
Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
Mark 13:8
Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.
Luke 21:11
There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Earthquakes are one possible sign, but weather and floods are not part of the list of events in the Bible, unless the JWs of the Org like to compare this with Noah’s flood which I believe they do!
But that flood was in Genesis, this apocalypse is supposed to be Revelation. The whims of men from Brooklyn, N.Y. should know better!

John 1:1-…There is always a possibility the Greek word seismos can be translated that way, however the NWT translated the seismos word in Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11 as only with the word "earthquake" and with no reference or clue to a storm or tempest.
John1:1-14 hosea13:4 acts4:12 on August 1, 2010 at 6:47 pm
where the translators only attribute earthquakes to the greek word seismos in matthew 24:7 they neglect (to save space?) to tell us that this word also means ; a commotion ,either of the air or wind or a gale , a tempest .
in other words bad weather.
