Its warm and humid outside but its getting cloudy. The wind is picking up rapidly and i live in Mass. I heard that a tornado touched down in New York but i don’t know what conditions were like there. Its in mid 80′s here without the breeze but every now and again the wind will pick up and die down. There is a HUGE line of storms moving in East and i was wondering is this possible weather for tornadoes to form? Thanks

I want to know if the weather is good or if they have a lot of storms etc. in the areas by the beach in texas im in the area of norman oklahoma and want to move out of the bad tornado alley area where there is big ice storms and large hail,but i want to go to a place where there is good jobs schools and not so scary weather i grew up in sacramento ca area so maybe something like that or something like norman oklahoma but not with this bad of weather!!!

all right here is what i think about it and i have something to say all right back in the 1970s and 80s the earth was in a cooling cycle [the earth goes through NATURAL colling and heating cycles ice age happend didnt it] so the scientists were flippen out talkin about globel cooling and they said by now we would all be coverd in ice and by 2000 the earth went into a heating cycle so then they started talkin about globel warming and they blame every little weather problum on globel warming like there way more hurricanes than usual a few years ago so instead of figuring it out they just said yeah it globel warmings fault and called it a day or there is the most f5 tornadoes this year since 1970 instead of figering any thing out they said oh its globel warming im in my last year of school and in science every single problem that is even a little out of place they blame globle warming and let me tell you after about 11 years of globel warming globe warming globel warming in science its gotten anoying and whats funny is every time one of these teachers even mentions globel warming every just moans so its not just me and i dont know any one who actually belives in this crap and then this the ice is melting the ice is melting the ice is melting crap is dum to have you ever seen those pictures that show a polar ice cap before and then after and its like almost melted in the after picture and theyll say of this picture of the polar ice cap is from 1999 an its like completly frozen and this goes for all pictures of this crap and it will show the same one in like 2005 and its all melted well what dont tell you is you know how in summer the ice caps melt some well the 1999 picture is from the winter of 1999 and the 2005 picture is from the summer of 2005 so obviesly its going to be melted in the summer and they do this crap to confuse you and make you think that its real so what do you think

Scenario shapes up like this… A kid is driving home from school in tornado producing weather and there are several tornado warnings in the area, he runs a red light and is pulled over by a patrol officer. The officer learns that the kid does not have a drivers’ license. Under the circumstances is the officer still authorized to order the kid to park the vehicle and return later with a licensed driver to retrieve it or can he make the decision to tell the child to drive straight home and park the vehicle and promise not to to drive it again until he is of legal standing to do so? What are some options that procedure make available to an officer in this situation. (In my book idea, the officer orders the child to park the car and return later with a licensed driver to retrieve it and he is swept up in a tornado and it costs the child his life). Serious replies only will be considered for best answer…. ) Wisconsin Law Enforcement would be best but any advice will be happily accepted…

I have a weather app on my ipad and said was possible rotation to the north of bennington vt. But there was no warnings. My one story apartment, i’m pretty sure would be history if a tornado were ever to hit it, considering it was once picked up and moved from a different location. So, I don’t plan on it sheltering me from a tornado, I would be a sitting duck in here. How would you suggest I protect myself? I remember walking home from high school on that day. It was almost as dark as night.
In Columbus, I don’t even think we had tornadoes but in nearby Xenia hundreds, I think 315 were
killed. I’ve just heard a mile wide tornado swept through Tuscaloosa, Alabama and that Birmingham got a big one. We’ve just had tornadoes in Arkansas and Oklahoma. I heard there were about 215.

If there are any older weather followers or storm chasers on here, is this weeks outbreak like the one that hit us in ’74. I know they now call them EF-5′s they were F-5′s back then

I have a great interest in weather, particularly severe storms and tornadoes, obviously. Even as a kid tornado sirens had the opposite intended effect on me, I went out looking for one. I know that isn’t smart but there are dumb people in this world, what can I say.

Are there any opportunities to be a member of a storm/tornado chasing team that has tracking vehicles and a research/warn mission? I don’t want to be just a random joe with a camera and my Camry trying to take pictures. It could be research or federal government/state government jobs. Do government meteorologists get to this kind of thing?

(I’m not looking for the tourist ride along experience.)

earlier today we had a tornado warning and the weather was getting severe and my mom had appearntly heard from someone that an evacuation of the area was possible(which btw never happened). Well after that when she told me i said that i am definitely gonna evacuate the house just because of a tornado, we have a basement so i would have gone down there cause i believe it is stupid to make people evacuate their own house just cause of something stupid like that when if you know what to do you could perfectly keep yourself safe. Yes i know they do it for your own safety(i honestly could have cared less if i would have died) but if the evacuation would have occurred and i didnt leave would they have done anything or have just left me there to die?

I am freaking out.. i am home all alone all day/night today.. and they are saying its going to be bad/strong storms..

About a month ago I heard the tornado sirens for the first time in my life.. I am not used to this type of weather, I am from California and lived here for 1 year. (Douglasville,GA)

The news is freaking me out bad… i am like all panicky..

I am mainly scared about Tornados, they say they are possibly in all thunder storms.. but they are saying these can produce large hail. winds up to 35MPH..

HELP!!!. I have no friends out here and don’t really know any neighbors.
