Last night I dreampt that I had to get up and pick up my toddler daughter from her fathers house, about half hour drive away. My current boyfriend who I am with, was driving our car, when we started hearing reports that bad storms were on the way. We looked out our window and saw a tornado form ahead of us on the road. I looked over at my boyfriend to see if he planned on pulling over or what we were going to do, but he took his hands off the wheel of the car and I didn’t know what was going to happen. We continued to drive and I kept seeing tornados forming in the sky. Somehow we suddenly had my toddler daughter with us, and the tornados were still forming so I convinced my boyfriend to go to a bar for safety. Once inside I could see that they had a main bar area and steps down to a basement. I asked one of the bartenders if we could go downstairs for safety and she brushed past my schoulder and completely ignored me. When I told my boyfriend he didn’t even care that there were tornados coming and that the bartender ignored my request to seek safety for my daughter and I.

i know that twisters are skinnier than tornados but im still lost.
i googled imaged all of them and typhoons and cyclones look like hurricanes
how do u tell them apart

Hi, I currently live in san antonio and want to move some where in the same state ‘Texas’ just a diff city?

I been here 2 years and never seen a tornado and was wondering if you knew of any other city in texas with no tornados? And if so how long have you lived in that city, so I can determine if I should go or not.

I hate to ask, but I have just been studying some youtube videos of the ocean crashing thru the streets, homes etc, and there is debris of all kinds, but I havent seen one single human being carried away along with it. Same with the Tornados in Joplin, so much footage, but no people. Are they only allowed to release footage without humans? Or do they edit out the humans?

…..dont get me wrong, so many people died and I dont want to see anyone getting hurt or killed, but I would just like to have an answer because people are always questioning it.

I’ve been having a lot of tornado dreams lately, like last night I was sleepin and had like a dream with tornados everywhere and I was outside, one tornado was pure green from spruce trees, it almost looked like a mutated tree. It wAs day time out and it was so clear that I could almost draw a picture for you guys. So do tornado dreams mean?

I know some of you hang around here to argue about evolution and I’m not getting any responses in the weather section. What do you see happening with this storm system over the next few hours, here’s the radar image:

It’s in the middle of the state and I’m on far east side near Arkansas. If you see the town labeled Muskogee I’m in the county directly to the east of that town and right in the middle of that county. We don’t normally get a lot of tornados here compared to the rest of the state and I’m freaking out because this system is HUGE. I have never seen anything like this. Do you see it falling apart or shifting away from us or anything over the next 2-3 hours? It will take at least that long to get here because it’s a 3-4 hours drive from OKC to here.
The town I’m in is called Tahlequah if you know where that is by any chance.
There is tornados on the ground in the storm but it’s not here yet, it’s 2-3 hours away. Some people have died already. You can turn on warnings on the radar.

The storms are in the middle of the state, tornados on the ground. If you see where the town marked Muskogee is, I’m in the county directly to the east right in the middle. Can someone give me an idea of what’s about to happen? Any atmospheric conditions you might be aware of that will either send this storm to the south of us or make it fall apart in the next 2-3 hours? Two people have already died in this storm and I’m scared sh*tless. We don’t have a tornado shelter or anything (we’re renters so we have no choice about it).
Where I’m at is on the eastern edge next to Arkansas. The town is called Tahlequah if you know where that is. Please tell me something I’m going crazy.

My mom was at work on 4/27 when the tornados came through and devastated our city. Thankfully she is alright, but her car was completely destroyed. The insurance adjuster hasn’t called her back due to them being overwhelmed right now and she terrified that they won’t cover her car because it was on private property. She has full coverage from nationwide. Does anyone know if they will or not?

It was first said to be a F-4, but changed to a F-5, but do they know what the actual speed of the wind was? No pictures of past F-5 tornados had this much complete destruction. 250 300? Wow! I dont know how that many people survived.

A few months ago Foster City, CA had a emergency alert system pop up on the tv and stated there was a warning that a tornado was headed our way from near the golden gate bridge or some crap and im just trying to figure out if california is at risk for tornados in the winter/spring months because that was the 1st scare ive EVER had/heard about in the 25 years ive been alive. can anyone explain this to me? it pretty much scared the crap out of me and now im terrified of thunderstorms/storms in general.
so then whats the difference between a twister and a tornado? are twisters life threatening or do the damage houses? do you believe that the tornados we could actually have here in california cause any damage to roofs, windows, harm humans?
@ shhhh-its me: yes, it was about a month ago and they notified all of the bay area about it. it was raining really hard that day with 70 mph winds which arent likely over here at all… so ya, it freaked me out a lot! now im terrified its going to happen again when theres rain or thunder or strong winds..

the British Government’s Future Offensive Air System (FOAS) has recently been canceled and a replacement for the Tornado GR4 Ground Attack Aircraft delayed indefinitely. but the Tornados WILL be coming to the end of their service lives sometime in the 2020-2030 period and a dedicated Ground Attack Aircraft to replace it is looking increasingly less likely. the current thinking in the new (useless) British Government is that the Ground Attack role will be fulfilled by specialized Eurofighter Typhoons or F-35s carrying precision bombs at high altitude.

do you have any news on a possible replacement? or do you have any ideas on what else could be done to fulfill this role?

So my family has two houses one is a solar house and one is in a small town. The one in town is close to where my dad works and before he was driving 2 1/2 hour to work, he is a doctor. I have traveled international before and I have gone to 3 summer camps each duration being a month. My parents recently had me go to the middle east, and I got to experience it. They paid for the trip and basically had to force me to go cause I wanted to work on my school work and start getting college credits. I do realize that I am privileged but I don’t flaunt it to people at school, and I don’t let people who brag get the better of me. We also have 5 cars but only 4 are used cause one is a old old truck. I just let it be, I am just wondering if you think that I am extremely spoiled or I am just well off. I am aware of the world poverty and I know that people are struggling.

Also I know that in the future I have to support myself so I am putting 500 aside each year I work to help pay for my next car, and I am working each summer now and trying to make around 2,500 or more.
Many of the things I Have I will used for the rest of my life.
Another thought, my parents bought me new ski clothes and we were going to get them from sport authority but then I thought to look on line and found the discontinued same jacket and the pants for the same price of the jacket at sports authority. I do try and save my parents money.

Hey(: I used to be a "anti stormist"( for lack of better word). I had a huge fear of storms, thunder, rain, tornadoes ect. I got freaked at the sights of clouds. But now I am over that and knee deep in this obsession with tornados!! I live in Oklahoma so these storms are a bit of a trademark. So, my question. im 19 and left college last july. im currently doing nothing at the moment and i feel like im going to become nothing and theres nothing out there that i can do. everytime i read about a local job i get nervous about wether im actually able to do it or not…. why is this. im interested in computer video editing (such as going into becoming a film editor kinda thing), music editor (choose and mix music and stuff), computer games, ufo’s and aliens, tornados etc. can anyone help me, with what im interested in can anyone choose a course or job to aim for?

In real life: I live right under the App. Mountains. Up in those mountains in jumonville there is a cross that can be seen from my house. I stayed up there in 5th grade it’s haunted and stuff. There is a lovely view of my town when you go to the cross.

Dream: I was up there with a lot of people (my class) and there started to be many tornados around us. We hid in a tight drench. After they stopped there was two red suns. I said "it’s almost likethe end of the world." while I was looking at the sky a picture of the earth came up and zoomed into PA. I fell in fear. So when they did there was two counies missing from PA. We all were tring to get out and go home. All I could think about is getting a hold of my crush. I got my iPod and I had no wi fi, so I tried my phone and was nerves to call and see if he would think I was crazy.

Someone please interpret I’m a little worried. All I thought about was getting ahold of him.

I am freaking out.. i am home all alone all day/night today.. and they are saying its going to be bad/strong storms..

About a month ago I heard the tornado sirens for the first time in my life.. I am not used to this type of weather, I am from California and lived here for 1 year. (Douglasville,GA)

The news is freaking me out bad… i am like all panicky..

I am mainly scared about Tornados, they say they are possibly in all thunder storms.. but they are saying these can produce large hail. winds up to 35MPH..

HELP!!!. I have no friends out here and don’t really know any neighbors.
