What does this dream my friend had mean?
My friend had a dream, she was trapped in a tornado, trying to get out. The next morning, the news came up that Texas had 14 tornado warnings. Freaky much? We don’t understand.

First of all, I am very saddened by the devastation in the South and plan on donating. But why did so many people die? Don’t they have tornado warnings and shelters? Kindly enlighten me. I don’t mean this in a bad way at all. I just don’t know much about living in an area prone to tornadoes.
Blondy came in Thursday evening with a nice cut on her leg. In the five years I’ve had her she has not been injured. My bf has had her since she was two, she is now 11, and she was treated like a cow, basically sprayed some furason on and let her go. Her cut does not look bad but I know from the swelling their is more than meets the eye. She let me cold hose it once, but won’t let me clean it and barely lets me put ointment on it. This was from the storms that rolled through, we had golf ball and quarter size hail, tornado warnings and swirling clouds, so I left them out. Do not lecture me on that my horse was the only one out years ago when tornadoes came through and the only one to survive when the barn collapsed. I have cleaned and taken care of countless counts on countless horses including a car accident victim. I know how to clean it but have never had a horse so wimpy. She won’t let me get near it now without her lashing out at me. If i try to cold hose she starts to rear, and lash out. It is getting dangerous for her and me. Any ideas? She is actually not lame at all, which is surprising given how swollen and hot it is.
Pics of wound and swelling.
Front view shows the swelling in her front right leg other is of the wound which really doens’t look like much but the top might me deep but I have no idea. Any ideas on cleaning a wound on a horse with no pain tolerance?
Its not infected, yet. She has let me clean it once and it was not there wednesday and there on thursday. It has not had time to get infected. I have been fighting with her cleaning it so i know its not infected yet but if she continues with her attitude it likely will get infected.
I had the most weirdest and craziest dream yesterday. I had a dream that my state had a severe tornado outbreak and tornado warnings were issued like crazy and tornadoes formed like crazy. I even dreamed that i was some sort of person in the community’s safety team and i drove around helping people from debris while tornadoes formed like crazy and i drove back and forth from the community’s public shelter. I even had a laptop with wireless internet access on the road in my car that provided me with tornado warnings & weather watches updates. What would this kind of dream mean to me ? I do honestly love weather especially weather like thunderstorms and stuff but I’m not studying meteorology I’m studying computer science. What did this dream mean at all to me ? My state in the next 2 days will have a chance of thunderstorms. Would it mean there would be a tornado outbreak ? I don’t understand because it was a very crazy dream.
Okay, So my area was having bad storms, 14 tornado warnings in the surronding areas, My area had a Tornado warning, But Nothing came. But something did make my house Shake, I mean the entire house shook for 2 minutes, and shook more and more, then stopped. And a few minutes before my mother was saying she heard an odd noise outside, I just told her it was thunder.
Possible Tornado? I mean I looked outside, but I saw nothing. But the wind was blowing horribly. My sister said something slammed into her house, she doesn’t know what it was, but she said it sounded like a car accident.
And No, none of us took Shelter, We didn’t have a basement, and Plus my mother was like "The odds of getting a Tornado are slim" But we did have a Tornado warning.
I’m just curious if Thunder is strong enough to shake the entire house, I mean you could feel the shaking on the floor.
My nephew was scared to death. He was like "Get in the hall get in the hall" And my dog was going crazy.
Yeah we heard a low rumble, but it sounded different then thunder, we all gave each other a look, it got louder and louder and all of a sudden the house began shaking and the floor was shaking, my brother lived a couple roads down and he said he could feel the air pressure in his house change and that some weird sucking noise came from the toilet.
i live in colorado and for the last few days we have been having tornado warnings and i am terrified of tornadoes. what time of day do they happen. also, we are having a thunder storm right now and is there a chance there will be a tornado.
no warnings right now
We had a tornado warning last night and realized how unprepared we actually were. The power was out for like 3 hours and we had no working radio except for an mp3 player that only had an FM tuner, So it took a little while to hear a weather report. So my boyfriend says were going to get a weather radio or something, that will sound an alarm for bad weather. Any suggestions or advice for buying one of those would be great, like what to look for and stuff. We have a storm cellar but we haven’t been down there yet, its completely empty at the moment, any suggestions on what we should put in there? We have an old table we were thinking of putting down there and maybe some folding chairs or something and some bottles of water. I’m not really claustrophobic or anything but i think the idea of going down there scares me more than the tornado warnings. I dunno, this is kinda a little vent but any stormy weather advice would be greatly appreciated! ~Thanks
Im in oklahoma too! thanks for the answers so far! I was also wondering if it would get to hot down there to leave batterys and canned food and stuff down there? or will they be ok?
I was wondering if this happens regularly in other parts of the country:
We have a LOT of severe weather in North Texas. Tornado Watches, Tornado Warnings, Severe Thunderstorms, Flash Flooding, etc.
During any serious weather event.. during prime-time…they interupt regular programming and spend hours (sometimes long after the watches/warnings have expired) detailing the progress of the storm(s).
Now, it isn’t that I don’t appreciate the information, but after a while you just start to tune it out because it doesn’t really seem to be ‘emergency’ news. In fact, it makes me wonder if it actually is causing more harm than good?
And, the thing that REALLY irritates me, is that today (early Sunday morning), I see out my back window a blackish-grey sky and rain going sideways and wonder ‘Hmmm is this a tornado?’.. only to turn on the local TV stations and NOTHING is being broadcast about it! Do they only work during prime time?! So what do you think?
Okay, to be fair I must report that two of the local stations just popped up the radar tracking of this storm (but still, it took almost an hour to report!).
I have always wondered what the procedures are for train crews in the event a tornado warning is issued, do they stop the train and seek shelter in a ditch or try to high tail it out of there? Finally how do dispatchers get tornado warnings? Please let me know thank you.
When Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and Tornado Warnings are issued, why do they always move to the east? Why don’t they sometimes go west, north or south?. I’m just wondering, that when Severe Thunderstorms and Tornadoes are issued and they start to taper off, why do they usually always taper off to the east?
Well I’m in Belleville Michigan (Wayne county), and we’re getting flood and tornado warnings. Well all of my family is since we all live in Milan, Plymouth, and cities around that. I was just wondering if you were getting storms, warnings or anything like that, wherever you are. I understand if I don’t get a lot of answers because most people are taking cover. Please no rude comments, I’m just curious and wondering if that is happening to states around Michigan. And if you are getting any bad weather, I hope you get through it safely, as well as your friends and family.
This past summer we have had many tornado warnings and bad storms, but i dont think an actual tornado has touched down. I was wondering if a tornado could touch down in this area, and if so, could it be a big, destructive one? Thanks
Its raining in southern california, like HARD, like thunderstorm&tornado warnings haha, seriously I watched the news, anyways. What should I wear to school when its raining? I’m thinking of wearing black yoga pants,a white spaghetti strap tank, gray sweater, white scarf and gray uggs with a white purse&a necklace&bangles. does that sound cute? any other ideas? I love the rain, but IDK what to wear! haha, im 15&in high school, so I dress pretty "fashionable". Also I’m 5’2, if that makes a difference. I have pretty much everything you can think of for clothes, so you can name anything.
thanksssss (:
I just watched night of the twisters and it made me rethink that just because i live in a county that doesn’t have tornadoes often, doesn’t mean that it can’t happen. Just like in the movie Night Of The Twisters, the people of blainsworth, nebraska always thought that Denanbrock would always get hit by a tornado, just like here in Northeast Columbia, South Carolina we always think that Lexington, South Carolina would always get hit by a tornado. Would there be a chance of a tornado hitting our county ?? I’m 19 years old and since I was born to today there has been no tornado that has hit our area, but we do have tornado watches a lot but no tornado warnings.

Here in Ohio we’ve had tornado warnings pretty much all evening.
Earlier a tornado touched down in the county next to mine. On the news they kept telling people to find shelter, and to be cautious.
Then i was thinking… i am totally unprepared for a natural disaster. I don’t have any type of supplies, or emergency situation knowledge… then i started thinking about my pets. What would happen to them if something serious happened. Like during hurricane Katrina, many pets died, and were separated from their owners.
So i was wondering, do any of you have a plan for a natural disaster? What would happen to your pets?
Like in a tornado, would you have shelter space that your family and your pets could fit in?
Or in your natural disaster supplies do you have supplies for your pets as well?
do you have any place to take them if something happened?
If you had to evacuate your homes would you refuse to leave with out them? (some people did this during hurricane katrina) Or would you leave them and hope for the best?
Just curious… because its something i never really thought about.
"Oh and by the way, where in ohio are the tornado warnings because i’m also located in ohio, near the cincinnati area…"
Well the tornado touched down in Fairfield, i live in Pickaway county, and we had warnings.
I’m not sure what all countys had warnings.
@Fuzzy Liberal -My grandma lives in a mobile home to, and when ever we get tornado warngings she hides in her hallway with her cats.
I live in a twin syle town home, and i have no type of shelter. So i’d have to go in the bathtub or my downstairs closet…but i highly doubt that they’d be able to hold myself and my pets.
So i’ve been pretty worried about a natural disaster.
I live in Florida, and I have some widgets for the weather. For the second time in a week, we had tornado warnings and watches, and the "national weather service" widget had nothing to report. I would like to know why it does not seem to work, so far. I would like to use it, but it seems useless to me.
Okay, so we have some Tornado warnings going on in Kansas, and we live in Missouri near the Kansas Boarder, but the warnings are on the other side of Kansas, away from us. Now, there is a weird color outside, it looks like it is glowing, it looks orange out almost, it is Creepy. Now, my Step-Mom has heard that a tornado usually comes after this kind of thing. Why is it like this? It cannot be captured with a camera, or Video camera, as it just looks normal outside, but with your own eyes it’s orange, why is this? Answer ASAP, 10 Points for Best answer!!!
By the way it is almost 9 out, and in summary, it is supposed to be dark. So why is this?
i live in calhoun county, michigan. we usually get one or two tornado warnings every year, in the early part of the summer. they are a common enough occurence that warning sirens are in place and schools practice tornado drills. when i was looking at tornado history project, they said that fifteen tornadoes had struck the county since 1950 or something like that. However, i types in los angeles county, in southern california, out of curiosity. to my surprise 42 tornadoes had struck the county since 1950. i was just wondering because tornadoes seem to be a rarity in socal, yet they have been hit by more twisters than my area, where they are actually a common occurence in the summer months.
are there any tornado warnings or really bad storms where you are?
How can i become a pleasant easy-going person instead of an always worried cautious anxious one?
Caution is good but how can i deliver that to people without appearing grumpy?
It makes me really angry when i see my family members doing something absolutely reckless, such as ignoring tornado warnings and not taking shelter, for example.
I think it’s better to be safe than sorry and i have known a few people who died in stupid ways because they were reckless.
It’s beyond my understanding why people are so easy-going on something like safety, even when it involves young children.
Any advice on how i can get them to think about their security without constant nagging about it?
I’ve searched this a billion times and cannot find it! It’s for a school project –
What time did the ELECTRIC go off before the tornado struck Woodward, Oklahoma in 1947?
&, What year did they give tornado warnings? (and who invented them?)
Thx so much 10pts!

Are you getting tornado warnings? I am, and here I sit, on Y!A.
Anything happening where you are with the tornado?
There isn’t any issues in the major cities like Madison. More like the minor ones.
