Its warm and humid outside but its getting cloudy. The wind is picking up rapidly and i live in Mass. I heard that a tornado touched down in New York but i don’t know what conditions were like there. Its in mid 80′s here without the breeze but every now and again the wind will pick up and die down. Last night I dreampt that I had to get up and pick up my toddler daughter from her fathers house, about half hour drive away. My current boyfriend who I am with, was driving our car, when we started hearing reports that bad storms were on the way. We looked out our window and saw a tornado form ahead of us on the road. I looked over at my boyfriend to see if he planned on pulling over or what we were going to do, but he took his hands off the wheel of the car and I didn’t know what was going to happen. We continued to drive and I kept seeing tornados forming in the sky. Somehow we suddenly had my toddler daughter with us, and the tornados were still forming so I convinced my boyfriend to go to a bar for safety. Once inside I could see that they had a main bar area and steps down to a basement. I asked one of the bartenders if we could go downstairs for safety and she brushed past my schoulder and completely ignored me. When I told my boyfriend he didn’t even care that there were tornados coming and that the bartender ignored my request to seek safety for my daughter and I.

I live in NY state, and I saw on the Weather Channel that the hurricane may bring tornadoes to NY, NJ, DE, and surrounding states. How does that happen? How could the tornado produce tornadoes for this area and do you think it’s likely it’ll happen?

Just hearing about Irene brought back memories of Ivan in 2004 D:
I remember….I was on the couch watching tv…and my dad was checking outside on how it was looking…I was little,and a bit scared…but now since I’m an amateure storm chaser,i feel a little scared,yet excited at the same time….If any of you were in the path of Ivan,you oughtta know what i’m talking about…but anyway,It was a tropical storm when it tore through good ol’ North Carolina here,I had to sleep in the living room when it happened,it was so scary! the power went out,the sky was red D: the thunder was deafening,the lightning was bright,the rain was so loud,and the wind was so strong it bent the forest behind my house so back that you could see the interstate so clearly behind that! as soon as it passed,the power was out for 2 freaking days! the next day after it had come and gone,we went outside to see the damage…we had down power lines,mulitple car wrecks on the interstate,fallen trees,shackles from the roof scattered all over the yard,and a peace of a roof from a house I didn’t even know!!! At least our neighbores were kind enough to share their generator but dear God,I will never forget that monster of a storm,I still remember every second of that night and probably will for the rest of my life…we got hit by many other tropical storms after that,but that was the worst one! (not to mention a reported tornado in my area >.>…) whoever was in the path of Ivan,feel free to share your story !

I have dreams sometime where I am chasing tornados. I live in Illinois and we get alot of them. But in the dream, I am not afraid of the tornado like some people who dream it. In fact, I am in charge of a team of tornado spotters. I like the dreams, but in real life, I would never think of doing something like this. Nothing bad ever happens in the dream, it is just exciting. What does it mean?

Marine Option specifically. I’m going to be a Senior in high school next year and I haven’t taken the ACT yet. I’ll have time to take it twice before I start turning in applications to the schools I’m aiming for.

From my last report card, it says I have a cumulative GPA of 3.14 but I think there might be an error. It’s been the same for a while and my 3.8 GPA this year did not dent it at all.

Hi! Ok, so I’m a spaz when it comes to tornadoes, and I was just curious how often does PA get severe tornadoes, and do they cause serious damage or even death? I fear them like nobody’s business and I always end up having my family and all my pets in the basement during a thunderstorm for fear that a tornado will happen…hahaha, i know, crazy. this deck uses a beatdown strategy, switching between fusion gate and skyscraper to fit your situation. fusions like wildedge, terra firma, and plasma vice are mainly used for prisma to get heros in grave. yea, i know, i was too lazy to captialize letters. anyways, i cant afford solemns or dualitys (yet, anyways, ill replace a seven tools for solemn judgment in the next structure deck). main fusions are the shining and shining flare wingman, both power up from either grave or removed from play.

I’m having some problems with my laptop overheating and shutting down after 15-40 minutes of gaming on any game..

Bare with me, I’m not computer savvy
Before I begin, my specs..
Toshiba
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P7450 @ 2.13GHz 2.13GHz (says ‘Mobile’ in advanced settings?)
RAM 4GB
Vista Home Premium 64-bit
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650

My laptop has never had any problems with playing games at high settings at all, and had never over heated before, it only happened once when playing Mine craft, which I found weird since it’s a small game with meager graphics. Yet it made my laptop over heat and crash, and since then my laptop can’t handle any game for any length of time without getting incredibly hot and shutting down. I had been playing high end games for hours long before I had played Mine craft, apparently Mine craft stresses out Dual Cores but I’m not sure.. Anyway;

What I’ve tried..
- I’ve used laptop coolers that go under the laptop, but they aren’t powerful enough to cool it down.
- I attempted to clean the fan, but there is no independent casing for the fan, I’d have to remove the whole backing which I wasn’t willing to do. (I’m not knowledgeable enough to risk damaging it.)
- I’ve had my HUGE industrial fan that can blow tornado-like strength winds into the vent, which seems to make it last a while, but gives me a cold lol.

So I used CPUID to test the temperatures of my CPU and graphics card to see what temps they were reaching. In this test I was playing Total War Shogun 2 for about 15 minutes.

Results:
Resting CPU Temperature: 53C 53C (2 CPUs)
After 15 minutes of gaming: 79C 79C (2 CPUs)

Resting Graphics Card Temp: 53C
After 15 minutes of gaming: 96C

Resting RAM Temp: 35C
After 15 minutes of gaming: 41C

They all cooled down to resting temp after about 5-10 minutes once the game was stopped.
It seems the Graphics card is getting the biggest beating, and the CPU looks to be hotter than it should during game play, but my question is what is causing this? How do I fix this? And is this really bad?

Here is how the dream went:

I was at the school gym, which was set up for a dance. A few girls walked up to me and asked me to dance. The way we acted with each other made me think that we were friends. Then, a guy walked up to me and almost immediately I said,"Sup bro!" and fist punched him. We danced with each other like we were best friends. I learned his name was Alex. Then, another guy walked up to me and hugged me. We went to the center when a slow dance came on, and danced with each other, very close, as if we were boyfriend and girlfriend. His name was Frank.
I went out into the hall where they held concessions to get a candybar. I thought I saw my favorite teacher from my old town walk down another hallway. I decided to see if She had come to visit me. I followed her. When I looked down that hallway, I saw my boyfriend kissing a girl, whom I think was my enemy. I ran down the hall crying. I see an image of me in Alex’s arms.
Then I see me in a tornado like figure, looking around. I change from a thirteen year old to what looks like a sixteen year old. I am in the back of the school, and a future form of Frank is in front of me. He asks me to the homecoming dance. I say no. He wraps his arms around me and pull me closer and asks again, in shock. I push him away and tell him to shove off. He grabs my arm and punches me in the face. Alex flys at him out of nowhere and pushes him against a wall. He punches him a couple of times, then the principle confronts Frank and I run into Alex’s arms again.
The next time I am at the homecoming dance. I am elected prom queen, and Alex the king. We slow dance for a bit. Then when I say something about who my true love could be. He scoffs and laughs. He tells me I have been obvlivious to the fact that he had liked me since 8th grade. I tell him he has been obvlivious to the same fact since last week, when I fought with Frank. We kiss each other, and I am in his arms again.
Heads up! I just moved to a small town.
