I watch the Al-Jazeera news about the number of homeless people that’s growing in numbers in the United States due to high rates of joblessness.The foreclosures of housing and realastates is sky rocketing at this period that forces the locals to leave their houses.To tell you the truth,i’m shocked to see and hear what had happened in United States today.The tent cities in every states is growing like a refugee camp which reminds me of the Katrina hurricane victims but this time it’s a very different kind of Katrina that is hitting the whole nation.It also reminds me of the homeless people that lives in camps such as in Iraq.I guess it’s pretty hard to live in America nowdays cuz if you lose your job,you lose your house.

I don’t know what kind of help my country can give to those poor people.Perhaps free tents and a little bit of food supplies might ease the pain for these poor homeless people since we saw very little that the American government can do to help them.I mean,think of the kids.they need to go to school.and how about the sick,the pregnant and the old people?Will the government help them if needed?I hope the cops won’t cut of their tents and kick them out to easy.They are human beings like us to.

My friend is 14 years old and claims to see tornadoes in the sky. I completely believe her because she wouldn’t lie about this. She doesn’t see them everywhere just usually in the sky. A little info that might help is that she had a birthmark over her eye when she was a baby, and the doctors told her parent she might be blind they were wrong. she has been to several doctors and they have no answers! So if anyone see them or has any answers please comment!

ok i live in jacksonville fl and fay is supposed to be hitting us today and i keep watching the weather channel and i don’tt mind thunder,lighting,rain,poweroutagess but i keep see reports about tornadoes and the damage the storm has cause and they say they fay is gonna head off shore and it might strengthen and hit our area next. (lucky us.)i know that tornadoes come in many different forms like rain wraps,water spouts,etct ect. ive been amazingly terrified of tornadoes ever since i heard that they can kill people. as of right now the sky is already dark and its only 11 30 in the morning. . if there is a tornado in my area then what kind should it be depending on the storm? and would it hit my house since i live on the west side(i kind of live near flat land)?I’m sooooo terrified i dont want to die i dont want to lose my house im just starting out my high school year and i dont wanna lose my high school oppurtunities!! and if a tornado is heading my way how should i prepare????a and how do i calm my nerveesss????? im sooo terried! and what kind of tornado would it be? Ok. Well first of all, i need some help. I need someone to tell me what these dreams might mean. Some recurring dreams i have are

going to school when the sky is DARK and/or evening, and not being able to go home.

being in a situation where theres a tornado and i cant seek shelter.

And i ALWAYS basically every month for a year i have a nightmare where i am in a car driving on an endless road, in the middle of a wide field and there is a huge funnel cloud over head. The last one i had of that dream was worse, where the funnel cloud was replaced with a face and hands reaching down.

I do have history where i was OBSESSED with weather (tornadoes specifically) i have never encountered one, and my obsession has stopped more than a year ago, but i keep having dreams with them involved and all i feel is absolute fear, even though my interest a while back was simply interest, and i wasnt "scared" at all. i still am obsessed being whenever its cloudy or stormy/windy i think theres going to be a tornado and i live in the mountains!!! but any way the main question is WHAT DO THESE NIGHTMARES MEAN? Both of the dreams i described are ALWAYS happening atleast 90% of my dreams include tornadoes.
EXAMPLE OF A DREAM I HAD THIS MORNING, literally lasted 9 minutes.
then it changed to a scene where the parking lot was my "drive way" and i lived in a mansion, the sky still dark brown and misty. i was in a car driving to town, mist everywhere, like fog. I called my dad in the dream, as my mom drove on this wide road, with no trees besides like 3 dead ones. in the dream i asked my dad what was wrong with the sky he said there might be a tornado. i simply replied, then me and mom will meet u at work and we can watch the tornado. in the dream the tornado then appeared. I knew it was just a dream. i asked my mom "is this a dream" she replied, no. i decided to ignore the tornado on the side of the roade any way. we continued to drive to my dads work, the mountains larger than usual (this took place in my town) we could see our house from my dads work which isnt true in reality. We saw a tornado passing by.
at one of the mansions there was a dog. my mom told me to go play with the dog with my dog (i dont have a dog in real life either, and in the dream the dog was fake, like a toy) and so i went over to the dog and started playing with it. in the dream i knew the story behind that dog, it was born from a human and dog and had an extra chromosome (someone in the dream, maybe it was my inner self who told me that. i woke up after that.. it was 7:09 am and all of that happened in the matter of 9 minutes.
and in the backround the whole time was depressing, slow, melodic music. it reminded me of

One time on a cloudy day, I noticed up in the sky There was this brown dust. I also noticed some was near the ground. Then in the sky as the dust was clearing, I noticed a funnel cloud.

If you live in Connecticut, was there any tornadoes/landspouts reported?

The other night, I had this dream that I’ve never had before. I was standing outside of this building. I’m not sure what the building was, but it seemed similar to the structure of the grocery store that I work in. I’m hanging out at a picnic table with a friend of mine her younger sister (we’re in our late 20s, the sister is in her early 20s). The sky becomes dark, starts to rain, and a tornado starts to form off in the horizon. I go inside to take cover. While going inside to the tornado "safe place," I decide to get a drink of water. At the water fountain, an 11 year old girl that I work with (from another job I have in real life), comes up to me and says "Hey! You forgot your name tag." My name tag happens to be the name tag I’m suppose to wear in choir rehearsals, which my friend conducts (this is also in real life). I tell her thanks, and she skips away.

By this time, word about the tornado is spreading around. I happen to see a co-worker in her grocery store uniform, but she doesn’t have her shoes on. I ask her where they’re at, and she mentions something about leaving them in the highest part of a bell tower (picturing the bell tower at that’s my college Alma Mater). She then disappears. I continue to walk in the building, and happen to glance out a large window. My friend and her sister are still at the picnic bench, hanging out, chatting, etc. However, my friend now has her shoes off because her feet got soaked, so she’s standing in her bare feet. She is also totally soaked and wind swept from the rain and strong winds. However, for some strange reason, despite the approaching tornado, I suddenly decide to start heading outside again to tell my friend of a shoe sale that I saw at the store, as I had noticed they had shoes in her size. Right around then, I woke up.

I’m not sure what brought this up, except that I did buy some new shoes recently. Any takers on this?
Nope, I wasn’t late for work. It woke me up at 4 a.m. and I thought it was so weird that I decided to write it down. Funny enough, I also realized that I was thirsty, so I had to make myself get up to get a glass of water.

I am a south african living in pretoria.

when i watch cnn or sky or bbc or the weather channels, i find very often that there are earth quakes, tornados, tsunamis, cyclones etc. in many countries around the world. But i have NEVER heard of anything to that extent in south africa, what chooses when and where these freak weather occurances happen, and why not south africa? (Not that im complaining or anything)

I’m a firm believer that dreams are just dreams, BUT I seem to have a recurring theme in my dreams for the past several years. Tornado Sky

I love summer storms when the sky goes from robin’s egg to
Grayish lentil in two minutes.

I love how the first raindrops fall and you can hear each one,
Individually, like a staccato drum, or dog nails on a wood floor.

I love how then they speed up and run together, and it sounds
Just like a rain is supposed to sound, and just like when

This is a recurring nightmare I have had for at least 15 years. I know it is hard for anyone to interpret it exactly, but I would really like to know what other people think about it.

I am usually on an island, either driving or in a beach home. A terrible storm approaches and the entire island is quickly flooded. In addition to the ocean floods, there are usually several to many tornadoes swarming around. As the sky gets darker and darker, the water rises slowly to the point where I cannot escape. I panic and try to run/swim to safety but I am unable to. Before me I see many other people also drowning and cannot do anything to help them or myself. Sometimes I am with a loved one and they also drown. Then, horrifyingly, I sometimes even die myself in my dream or at least I think I die because everything just simply goes black and then I wake up. Variations of this dream may simply have the tornadoes and no flood, and instead of dying I just witness total destruction around me.

Ideas?

8. Can a tornado split in two?
9. In the movie Twister, two people ride in this truck in the path of a tornado, but they can’t see it until the tornado comes over a hill. Is that possible?
10. And I know this is kind of silly, but tornadoes and twisters are the same thing, right? Just want to be sure!

I was driving to my away soccer game in Newmarket tonight and I had a feeling it would be cancelled… On the highway, I saw the funnel cloud in the sky and I’ve never seen anything like it before. It scared me to death, but I got some good pictures of it too. It was raining so hard we had to pull over shortly before. The sky went this evil scary green colour and it just got so calm and we kept on driving…and then there it was. Wow, never in my life!!!

Before a tornado strikes, the clouds turn a green color. The other month, there was a really bad storm at my house and it started to hail. I looked at the clouds and they were a sick green color. A few minutes later, a tornado hit.
