Last night I dreampt that I had to get up and pick up my toddler daughter from her fathers house, about half hour drive away. My current boyfriend who I am with, was driving our car, when we started hearing reports that bad storms were on the way. We looked out our window and saw a tornado form ahead of us on the road. I looked over at my boyfriend to see if he planned on pulling over or what we were going to do, but he took his hands off the wheel of the car and I didn’t know what was going to happen. We continued to drive and I kept seeing tornados forming in the sky. Somehow we suddenly had my toddler daughter with us, and the tornados were still forming so I convinced my boyfriend to go to a bar for safety. Once inside I could see that they had a main bar area and steps down to a basement. I asked one of the bartenders if we could go downstairs for safety and she brushed past my schoulder and completely ignored me. When I told my boyfriend he didn’t even care that there were tornados coming and that the bartender ignored my request to seek safety for my daughter and I.

Just hearing about Irene brought back memories of Ivan in 2004 D:
I remember….I was on the couch watching tv…and my dad was checking outside on how it was looking…I was little,and a bit scared…but now since I’m an amateure storm chaser,i feel a little scared,yet excited at the same time….If any of you were in the path of Ivan,you oughtta know what i’m talking about…but anyway,It was a tropical storm when it tore through good ol’ North Carolina here,I had to sleep in the living room when it happened,it was so scary! the power went out,the sky was red D: the thunder was deafening,the lightning was bright,the rain was so loud,and the wind was so strong it bent the forest behind my house so back that you could see the interstate so clearly behind that! as soon as it passed,the power was out for 2 freaking days! the next day after it had come and gone,we went outside to see the damage…we had down power lines,mulitple car wrecks on the interstate,fallen trees,shackles from the roof scattered all over the yard,and a peace of a roof from a house I didn’t even know!!! At least our neighbores were kind enough to share their generator but dear God,I will never forget that monster of a storm,I still remember every second of that night and probably will for the rest of my life…we got hit by many other tropical storms after that,but that was the worst one! (not to mention a reported tornado in my area >.>…) whoever was in the path of Ivan,feel free to share your story !

With these killer Tornadoes?
I live in Wisconsin – in the foremost region where tornadoes, having started, usually come down our way.
I am not asking this because I’m afraid…but CURIOUS, as to WHY their frequency, and their (Seeming vindictive and angry as all H*ll below!!!) fierceness?
I realize they are lethal, but as a formation of Nature, stating itself, It is a vision so gorgeous to the EYES!
Well, I’m generalizing, and that’s not fair – but to my EYES, Gorgeous of form and because of their power!

YES! I for ONE, find then intimidatingly BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Anyway, any ideas why it seems that the whole of Nature, in its’ varied manifestations of Power and Not denied of Great Beauty – is responding so ferociously?

Secular and Religious questions well received as well as appreciated.

Oh, and just one more thing: Hurricanes are named, but why not tornadoes.
I’d love to see a monstrous one, named Gracie, a la Gracie Alan! (I think that’s the name of the great, late comedienne.

Well LinLyons, I do agree with all that you’ve said.Even being able to watch them on the tube is interesting.
However as an artist, I love everything beautiful – Beauty of Nature for example…just about everything in all animals, and also within the insect realm. (Although I heard having this said, by Jeff Goldblum as he turned into (can’t remember the first name – but his surname was Branddlefly) that insect politics are BRUTAL!
As for people, I find no beauty in them, because as insignificantly as they are, FOR THE VERY MOST! – they betray, both their intelligence and one another. So, truly? I’m not one who is swayed by supposed human Beauty. And if ever I consider it, well I stop right there, and look up at the sky – and listen to the clouds, which silently tell you their much varied stories through the gestures upon their faces! I thank you.
Si! – Arch-Angel Gabriel, were you named after the Angel, who looked down at the earth, and man’s activity, as HE; Gabriel – cringed at what man’s has done to the planet!
I once did a marble portrait of Gabriel – but as my work progressed, and I was carving out Gabriel’s face – the expression on his face was so Apocalyptic, that I became frightened, and struck the portrait, hard enough to destroy it! You see, I was in denial, then. But no longer! So…why let that Arch-angel have to look down, at our OWN arrogant behaviour – which by the way, will soon cause our own extinction. I have been having dreams about tornado’s a lot lately. Each dream is a little different than the last. In all the dreams I look up and see a tornado coming down from the sky. My instant reaction in the dream every time is to grab my to year old son and run for shelter. Where we go for shelter is different in each dream. We always stay safe though the tornado never destroys where we are. The twist on it all was in last nights dream, there was a tornado coming but I was the only one running for cover, my son wasn’t in the dream. What is going on here?

Hi, ok so last night i had a scary dream that a tornado came and you know well, do what tornadoes do , destroy stuff.

I was at this strange house on a lonely island, the house had a big open window and i was looking out onto a stormy sea. There were other people there but i didn’t know them. Then all of a sudden someone said there was a tornado coming and i looked out the window and seen it forming in the sky. Along with the others, I was running down the hallway in the house trying to find cover in one of the bedrooms. Running out of time i decided to take shelter under a heavy bed. I lay there praying to God that my family were ok and they weren’t caught up in the storm too. The tornado struck and ripped the roof of the house, i started screaming and was clinging onto the bed. After a minute it all died down and the storm had passed. I left the bedroom and the other people started to come out of their hiding spots too, we talked for abit and then i said i was going home incase another storm hit, then that’s were the dream ended.

Now this is not the first time i had nightmares about tornadoes, they’re kind of a recurring dream that i have a lot, but im usually at my house when they strike and i’m trying to get everyone to safety.

Anyways i would appreciate if someone could help me out on this and tell me what they mean?

P.S. i live in Ireland, and we dont get tornados here, (or at least the big ones you get in the States) so its not like i’ve ever experienced anything like a tornado before, but i am afraid of them

For me it is tornadoes. I like watching them on video, or (if I ever see one in real life) from a long distance. The thought of a tornado scares me because it is an unpredictable storm that touched the ground. I prefer storms when they are up in the sky and won’t kill me if I get within a mile of them.
Yeah there was a tornado warning in Florida a while away from where I live today, I was FREAKED OUT!

In about 50% of them…
The location where I am at the time is usually the same. (Wal-Mart oddly.) And I’m always with someone I know. There’s some kind of giant storm that comes suddenly. Um, in some it’s a big windy, rainy, lightning storm. The lightning strikes all over constantly. Other dreams I’ve had tornado everywhere, just like the lightning they strike all over and constantly. People die and some people run from the storms, both on foot and in vehicles.

In other dreams I’ve seen huge masses of water coming down on California. (Where I live.) it looks like a Tsunami. My mom, me, and all my family on her side has had these. I don’t know why though, weird right?

In some I see giant bridges collapse, the sky is always darkened, lots of smoke and rubble all over. I think… the majority of these dreams are San Francisco.

I’ve also had dreams about virus/nuke things. There was a few dreams where we were bombed and when the bomb exploded it didn’t just destroy areas, people breathed something in and started dying. It affected adults and elderly more, which was weird… Then in some there was some sort of virus that animals were carrying around and people would get it by just being near them.

I’ve had even more but I don’t want this to be too long. Why do I keep having these? Do they mean something about what’s going on inside me?

You know those fires that have been happening in California?
Well last week I had a dream that I was in Kansas (I know, not California, but it’s America) and I was stood in a room with loads of other people. Anyway, the room started shaking and I looked out of the window and there was a tornado shaped cloud in the sky. I shrugged it off until the ground beneath me started to split open. I leapt aside and then the room set alight. A cloaked figure came into the room and grabbed me, whispering "You are the only one who is faithful". I’ve had this dream three times since and the last time I had it was the same day the fire’s started.

Is that strange or just a coincidence?

I had a dream that it was dark and windy and this F5 tornado came and hit our home,then my dream jumped to another.My second dream was that the news was sending out warnings about a huge tornado coming our way!My youngest son and I were getting read to go to a shelter when all the sudden the sky started getting clear,the sun was coming out and there was no more storm.What does this mean!?

I am a former wedding photographer of 12 years. July 25, 08
I was attending a wedding rehearsal that I was hired to photograph as well as the wedding. I always arrive early to take photos of the church of every wedding I do. I was not on the clock yet, but I wanted to arrive extra early on this rehearsal because the weather forecast was calling for bad weather and maybe tornadoes, so I wanted to make sure I got the photos of the outside before it started to rain.

As I started to take my photos on this gloomy day, All of a sudden, the sky became really dark, and the clouds started to form right above the church. And I thought that I had better hurry because it was about to rain. Then the clouds slightly parted to allow this very illuminating light from the sky to show. Then the clouds started circling, counter clock-wise around this light. So I started snapping photos like crazy because I thought this was the start of a tornado. How great would it be to get a photo like this for the bride and groom over their church. I was excited because a tornado is something I never took pictures of……

Then, just as quickly as it started, was as quickly the clouds dissipated and it became just gloomy again. I thought how strange that was and just went on because the first person arrived for the rehearsal.

Later, I was looking back at all my photos to decide which to keep or delete to use for this wedding. And this is what I captured……

The first photo is this circle with an image on the ground of a little girl with blond cropped hair. Zoom in to see better.

The second photo is the circle that turned into this light being on the ground. The colors are spectacular.

I did not see these at the time of the photos. I was more focused on the sky. When I first saw the photos I had taken, I was going to delete these because I was in such shock and a little startled. Then I realized that these photos were something special.

Later, I showed my husband and he pointed out the figure of a lady which the clouds formed around the light in the sky also.

I have been a photographer for a long time and I have experience with lighting. These images are not sun spots, glare, reflection. I have never seen this before in my life. I have looked on all the ghost and spirit sites, and I find nothing like this..

I am not sure to even tell my experience or even show my photos. I have for the most part, shared these photos to close friends and family members only. My light being does not scare me or those I have shown. It gives good feelings.

I feel it may be time to share these photos with other people. Maybe these photos will comfort someone who has seen or had experiences with light beings, so they know that they are real. There is something after death. Energy does not end.

I know some people are going to try and say I fixed these photos and there are going to be people who will not believe this and I’m ok with that now. I assure, these are true photos that are not tampered with or fixed. I still have the original chip negative it was taken with.

When I first showed family and friends, some would ask me if I fixed these, and those comments would upset me. Now, I do not care what anyone thinks. I know these are true photos.

Then I am asked what I think it is, an angel, Jesus, Virgin Mary, a spirit.
My answer is, I don’t know. I am no one special, but was chosen, for what ever reason to take the photos, that’s it.

Then, just as quickly as it started, was as quickly the clouds dissipated and it became just gloomy again. I thought how strange that was and just went on because the first person arrived for the rehearsal.

Later, I was looking back at all my photos to decide which to keep or delete to use for this wedding. And this is what I captured……

The first photo is this light circle with an image of a little girl with blond cropped hair. The light ball is located on the ground. Zoomed in to see better.

The second photo is the light circle that turned into this light being on the ground. The color of the light ball is the same color as the bottem of the light being. The colors are spectacular. They were taken 13 seconds apart.

I did not see these at the time of the photos. I was more focused on the sky. When I first saw the photos I had taken, I was going to delete these because I was in such shock and a little startled. Then I realized that these photos were something special.

Later, I showed my husband and he pointed out the figure of a lady which the clouds formed around the light in the sky also.

I have been a photographer for a long time and I have experience with lighting. These images are not sun spots, glare, reflection or lens flare. I have never seen this before in my life. I have looked on all the ghost and spirit sites, and I find nothing like this..

I am not sure to even tell my experience or even show my photos. I have for the most part, shared these photos to close friends and family members only. My light being does not scare me or those I have shown. It gives good feelings.

I feel it may be time to share these photos with other people. Maybe these photos will comfort someone who has seen or had experiences with light beings, life after death experience, so they know that they are real. There is something after death. Energy does not end.

I know some people are going to try and say I fixed these photos and there are going to be people who will not believe this and cut it down….and….. Well…… I’m ok with that now. Some day those people will know I am telling and showing the truth. I assure, these are true photos that are not tampered with or fixed. I still have the original chip negative it was taken with.

Then, I am asked what I think it is, an angel, Jesus, Virgin Mary, a spirit.
My answer is, I don’t know. I am no one special, but was chosen, for what ever reason to take the photos, that’s it.

Personally, I think it is an angel.

Things do exist that you can not see.

You can’t see air, but it’s there.

You can’t see love, but it’s there….

I am not sure what to make of it. You tell me, Angel, spirit, Jesus, V Mary, ghost?

There was a time when a tornado had to be sighted for there to be a "warning" now they put out warnings for whole counties because they see "doppler rotation" in the sky. Yesterday the NWS was putting out media quotes that predicted "a historical amount of tornadoes were likely for that day" – 6-5-08 It seems that this Federal organization is guilty of sensational reporting and spin at the cost of our tax dollars. I want your honest opinion – short answers fine and Yahoo please don’t censor this out like you do so many of my questions.

hello my name is michelle. i believe that i have been abducted by aliens with al of my heart a couple of years ago i was sitting out side of the library laying on the ground looking up into the sky i do believe that i have telipathical powers to call the aliens from outer space. so one day i tried it…. i hear voices in my head that i believe send signals out to outer space. so one day i sent the voices in my head into space saying hello im michelle and i live on planet earth and i would like to meet aliens from another world please come to me. all of a sudden i see this silvership come out of the sky. i know for a fact this is no plain. this ship was flying in a circular motion.some how i knew that i was going to see this before i saw it cause i heard a voice calling me back saying ok you will get a chance to see and meet us.so i when i saw it i stood up and waved at it.that night i walked to subway get me and my bf some food. i looked up into the sky and omg there it was a big humongus bright light that looked like a star.it was sitting still in the sky until it moved it moved tord me very fast i was scared i started to run as i started to run it dissapeared. i continued my walk so i go into subway get us some food and come out. i start to walk again back to the house and omg there it is again it came down at me slowly i waved at it it stopped dead in front of me i waved it in closer it moved in very close to me and stopped abouve a house. i started to run i got very frightend i ran up to some people standing near by. then it shot off into the sky and dissapeared right before they could see it i rushed home asap. won night after this occurance took place i woke up with a being with big humongus black eyes standing over my bed. i could not move or say any thing at all and i was up for about a munit this is all i could remember about that night and since then i have had several abductions by aliens. the grays …. they have chased me and abducted me several times and i still see them its weired cause i can see them when ever i want all i have to do is call them with my voices. that i am able to hear and if i dont call them they come any way. i dont know how to get rid of them i feel like im stuck for ever seeing them. one day i woke up with a strange mark on my hand and i dont know how it got thier its a mark of an a and d like A.D thats how it looks what is happining with me? i woke up in their ship one time and they were showing me that the world is going to burn up in a big fire. i have several dreams about earth quakes sunamies ans tornados.i have dreams that i am floating in the air flying. i have had several dreams of being pulled up into a ship by a blue beam. i had these dreams almost every single night when i was pregnant with my son.i have had spiritual encounters with demons saying they will get me and i will help them get me too. i woke up at 5 am in the morning and heard a bird at my window saying that god is here, hes here hes here god is really here. wich freaked me out really bad. i do believe that i have seen a shadow image of jesus christ. i am very very serious about this this is no hoax this is true and my encounters are very real and i believe it with all of my heart. i sometime s here a voice calling my name when ever im sleeping it is a man. what do you think about my life encounters please comment.

I always find it absolutely gorgeous outside up in the sky when dark clouds are rolling in and the sky’s completely dark as if a tornado’s coming.Have you ever been inspired to do a painting of this type of weather?

Right now, i’m terrified f thunderstorms. I’m 14 years old and every day I always watch the news about weather and today I hear there could be a thunderstorm tomorrow afternoon. Everytime this happens I constantly check the weather online and I always thnk of tornadoes becaus I hate the sound of severe thunderstorms. I hate having this fear. When it does storm, I pace around looking out the windows at the sky and shake. Can I get over this?

So I had this dream that me and my family were driving to Louisiana and there were these Tornadoes and at first I wasn’t scared for some reason, cause I was like "Oh its just a tornadoes there always in this part of the country. (Lol) And so we kept driving but then we ran outta gas and stopped at this Hotel to stay at. and it was more like a Building/Construction place/hotel. and so we stayed there and ate with different people in the diner. And there were these long walls with long wndows that showed the sky… and outside was like a Field in the middle of no ware.. and out of no were a tornado came in and started trying to suck people in and we were Ducking on the stairs (The stairs led to the big windows, and the tornadoes were just Going thew the glass without breaking and they were coming inside the building and i had to hold on to some people. then the tornadoes took a break.. and we started eating again. and during the break my dad had took a picture of our family and (This is the weird confusing part O.O) So really he was getting sick and stuff because i guess because he wasn’t in the picture and I knew that so i tried to take a picture but all the cameras and phones were broke so i couldn’t take a picture of him so he would live. and he died… then we saw his ghost and we were all happy he was doing ok then after that I saw about 5 tornadoes coming again then we ducked under the stairs again, and then me and my mom (And other people) Started running away On the field to get away from the tornadoes then I asked my mom what about My brother! and she kept running and i looked back and i saw my older brother in the window saying ("Fine Leave me!") and I was so sad.. then I woke up. ….O_O

ever since i was little ive been afraid of storms.but now that i can stay home alone.what should i do if a tornado comes ,im home alone and im really scared of my basement but theres soupposed to be a tornado (the sky is pich black).HELP!!!
