I want to learn about harsh weather, such as storms that can put down tornadoes. I can’t find any where online that I can learn about them for free. I have no money for college and can’t find any books around my area. Can yall help me out pleae? I really want to storm chase if possible one day…but I wont unless I know what I’m chasing! Best answer gets 5 stars!
i took one storm spotting class this year. Now I want to educate myself during the "off season". Any websites, movies or books anyone recommends? And thanks for your reply! My hero is Reed Timmer from Storm Chasers!

I’m going insane! Summer break just began and school is out!!! Roy, I can’t explain how I got feelings for him! I can’t even explain how much I care for him! He’s a sweet funny guy whose really tall! ( either that or everyone is just short now! Haha!) we play around with each other and our way of saying hi is flipping each other off!! It’s really funny! Thursday was the last day of school. We were on the bus and for some reason, we were the only ones not talking, while everyone else was screaming. He was sitting in the back when I took this great picture!! You can’t see him though. I’ll put up a link for it later! But anyways, when we got to the first bus stop. He moved to the seat right behind me. He does that because he likes to talk to me and my friends after his friends are gone. But he usually sits behind the seat I sit in anyways. We have a pretty strong friendship and I don’t want to ruin so I haven’t told him yet. I was about to tell him how I felt so I turned around. When I turned around I said " Roy?" and when he turned around and I looked into those big brown eyes, I froze!! I Was so embarrassed!! So then I said " Oh!!" then I flipped him off. Then we both laughed! When I got to my bus stop he moved 2 seats forward ( he switches seats a lot! Haha!) and he stayed standing and then he HUGGED me!! He doesn’t hug anyone!! He also hugged my friend Hannah but that was a small hug. I was soo haPpy!! I got off the bus and thought I was dreaming. Then I feel off a curb and I’m not sure if he saw me but I just started laughing! ( I fall off of everything but it started more often when I started crushing on him. Am I in a dazz because off it?) he is on his way to Texas (he isn’t moving I think he is visiting family) and I’ve been talking to him on facebook while he was on his way. He seems sad he probably doesn’t wanna go. I’m worrying about him ( and my gramma!) because of all the tornadoes lately. But I bet he will be fine. Should I tell him I like him?

so one night when i fell asleep i had a really strange but weird dream. i dreamed that Indian spirits came and was very upset at me for some weird reason. but punishing me for what i did they where going to tattoo my body if i didn’t do what they told me, well they didn’t do tell me anything,so in my dream i went to my aunts house and i told her what happened and she started to cry and kept saying sorry…. i was comfused and asked her she meant by sorry…. in my dream she was the one who upset the Indians. so when they came back i remember my room being a dark red and brown color and them yelling at me . when i looked down they tattooed pots.. and horses on me.. kinda like the pictures that they use to draw…. wen i woke up i was scared……….. a couple nights after i had a dream like it but it was different. i was back at my old town and i was at the hockey rink and there was snow everywhere i saw my horse next to me and my mom and her boyfriend up on a hill with some one so i rode up to them.. well it was an old Indian and he was showing them a spiritual "trick" and he did it to me. he told me to make i little "hill" of snow and watch what happens so i did… a couple seconds later a really pretty flower bush came up and it had a lot of pictures on it of my family my horse and my brothers best friend and he told me to watch carefully and believe in my heart and it will show me the one whose for me. so i did and it was my brothers best friend. i was shocked sense he was older than me and like a brother to me. he then told me i had to give thanks and save the ones i love. so i had to run and save all my aunts horses from a tornado it… once i did he just smiled at me and i woke up…. a couple weeks ago i went to a wedding and before we got there my grandmother who has all timers and has lost her mind was talking randomly about Indians.. and at the mission we stayed at we found an Indian barrel ground…. plzz try and help me figure these dreams out and everything

When looking at the odds of my existence, I take make factors into account. My favorite analogy of the universe coming about is that it is as if a tornado went through a junk yard of plane parts, and when it ceased, a well functioning plane resulted. It also takes many factors for a planet to be able to sustain life, so our earth sustaining life is improbable also. Looking at my existence individually, I note that each ejaculation has more sperm then amount of people on the earth. So the fact that my ancestors sperm beat out billions, in that one ejaculation it took to conceive them alone, and I did the same, we can see that it is highly unlikely for me to be here right now. Considering all of these variables, let’s say my existence is infinity to one, because it is sooooo close to zero. I know that I exist, you may not, but I do. I think therefor I am. My brother always says, "what is truth? I am truth." Let’s say time and space are absolute and in fact infinite. Then every possibility will eventually get played out. Including me existing an infinite amount of times, with an infinite amount of changes, and an infinite amount of times with even no change to the life I am living now. The probability of me existing in this case is 100 percent. It is a mathematical guarantee that I exist, and will continue to exist and have existed. So looking at odds, it would make sense to side with the infinite time theory, that proves that I am existing right now as a result of guarantee and not a random chance, a mathematical error. Also painting a picture, I think, based on this, about how all of the suffering I have done, and will ever do, accumulates so that I suffer for an infinite amount of time. Because, I’ll exist an infinite amount of times and suffer an infinite amount of times. I will also be happy an infinite amount of times, too. This theory is similar to eternal return but instead of my life having now change, I will have an infinite amount of times that do change, though eternal return still applies because I will live this same life an infinite amount of times. I told all of this to my friend who said that in thirty billion years all matter will decay, proving this theory wrong. I just assumed that eventually a new big bang will occur, everything will occur again. But could the big bang occur with decayed matter, could the universe form again given an infinite amount of time and space? The big bang is based on time being relative, or so I’ve read, so it may not even have to do with anything based on my theory using absolute time. Anyway, I’m not very good when it comes to science, could anybody tell me if this theory has potential, or if science like my friend thinks eliminates it from being plausible. If anyone could help expand on this theory, I would appreciate it as well.
says Tom. Well I’m glad you read it if you feel that way….and maybe you’ll have to read it an infinite amount of times.
At the end I ask for anyone who’s intelligent enough to expand on the theory, or tell me whether it’s possible or not. Question in statement form……

Arguing that he doesn’t "like the federal agencies breathing down our neck," Paul argued against federal government insurance programs.

He said the federal government should not be going into debt to help in Natural Disasters;

if someone chooses to build a high-risk house on a beach and then loses that house in a storm, he said, it should not fall to the most risk-averse to pay for their decision.

Sounds Great to me!!!!

Don’t Depend on the Government if you live in tornado alley or in a Area that is Below Sea Level!!!!

I’ve remembered that ever since the Atomic Age and the Cold War, we’ve had this EBS to keep us in touch with things in the event of disaster. But my cable carrier just lost it’s ability to broadcast because of a little "tornado watch weather" here in Wisconsin last night. I’m still getting "No Signal" ever since yesterday evening. So "If this had been a "REAL EMERGENCY", would there be any broadcast, or not? LOL;-)

Our home was hit by a tree when a F4 tornado went through a few days ago. Our insurance sent out serve pro guys first to access water damage. We do know the whole roof needs to be replaced cause its missing shingles and it is now leaking in lots of places and soft But barely any water has got in our home.. Serve Pro guy determines we need to replace some walls and flooring. That’s seems a bit much to us as the walls and floors looks fine to us. Our insurance WILL pay and we do get new flooring, walls and paint which is good. But do we have anything to lose by giving the ok on these extensive "repairs" even though we don’t feel the need really.

We are in a brick house & I’m trying to figure out which is safer for us to do since there is no storm shelter near by. We are supposed to be getting severe storms soon (all night & tomorrow too) with tornadoes likely. Is it safer for us to be in the hallway (long "L shaped" hall, about 3ft wide with the back door on one end & us at the opposite end, it has 2 bedrooms on each side plus a bathroom) OR there is a small closet at the end of that same hall way (it has a couple of shelves & it is empty but there is just enough room for my 2 small daughters & I to fit (one is 5yrs old almost & the other is 16months) that closet is at the end of the L hall (the back door is on the opposite end) it has another bedroom closet behind it and a bedroom on each side & of course the hall in front (so that would make it a center room even thought its not the center of the house right?) Would we be safer in that closet with pillows over our heads or safer just in the hall if a tornado were to hit? I’m sorry if that was confusing, I was trying to be detailed lol. Thanks! (note: I don’t plan on staying in there all night, we are either gonna camp out in the hall or in the bedroom that’s closest to the closet & if a warning were to come either put my girls in the closet, grab some pillows/blankets off the bed & jump in there with them or just get in the hall with the pillows & blankets.)
the closet is about 3ft wide & 1 or 2ft deep
To be honest I don’t trust our bathroom. To make a long story short, we actually live in a trailer house but just bought this brick house that needs some work before we move in. The bathroom floor needs replaced. It’s ok to go in there if you need to use the toilet but I wouldn’t want to be in there during a tornado lol. The rest of the house is fine, we just can’t move in yet bc we have to install our whole entire kitchen (cabinets & all) & put in flooring (not subflooring, thats just the bathroom, but actual flooring lol). We just camped out over here @ the brick house bc I know it is way safer than a trailer house…

If there’s a "God", why did those four nice old people on the news who were trying to PASS OUT BIBLES around the world get kidnapped by Somalian pirates and ultimately brutally killed (Feb. 22, 2011)? And what were they doing trying to give out Bibles around the world like that so close to Muslims and people of other cultures? Is this the Darwinian advance of one religion over another?

The way the world actually works mocks religious belief again and again yet people still have a primitive need to explain everything in terms of a warm fuzzy deity watching over us. Why did an Earthquake topple the city of "CHRISTCHURCH" in New Zealand (Feb. 22, 2011), including their church, killing or trapping hundreds of people. Couldn’t God step in an do anything, if not then, why not as they try to find survivors and take all the fallen debris away? We obviously have to rely on each other, not wait for God.

Why all over the world are there tsunamis and earthquakes, hurricanes and so on that kill thousands of people and ruin the lives of thousands more? Remember the very bad one DURING CHRISTMAS in 2006. Do you think all those thousands of people got to feel warm fuzzy "Christmas" feelings?

I saw a "Nova" special on PBS about the disappearance of flight 447 over the South Atlantic. It was later found in pieces in the water, everyone dead of course. Many probably had a horrible death by drowning or being eaten by sharks etc., I’m sure many of them believed a "God" was looking out for them. Well, I guess there wasn’t. This same thing happens again and again around the world.

People will get all excited about seeing a randomly created image of "the Virgin Mary" in a potato chip or in a stain pattern in an old wooden chair and they will say how "God is with us". Such flawed reasoning! Would God choose to reveal himself in such superficial ways instead of where he is really needed? On some wooden panels above my bed I can see the images of a "grey" alien and a frog etc. It’s like children looking at clouds and seeing random patterns and images in them. That’s all it is. By pure chance you can get an image, more or less, of just about anything, given enough clouds or potato chips or stain patterns.

I find it ridiculous when, on the local News, people who survive their house burning down or who survive robbery attempts or tornadoes, etc., will say "oh God saved me! He’s watching over me! Thank God!". You mean he wasn’t watching over you so that your house didn’t burn down, that there never was a robbery attempt in the first place or a tornado didn’t level your town, along with taking those other people who died in it? Or was he only partially watching over you? And what about all those other people who, all over the world don’t survive these things? Would God be so petty as to pick and choose or, is it simply that, by chance some happen to survive and many more do not (more don’t)? What about all those people who have gone their whole life and never had their house burn down, who never had to be in a robbery attempt or a tornado? Are they even MORE watched over by God than you are? This is all very illogical.

Instead of denying the obvious with dismissive answers like "God works in mysterious ways" or "it’s OK because they get to go to Heaven" people need to stop clinging to unproven religious beliefs which just don’t hold up. The Universe is a cold, logical, awesome place that is not concerned with the concerns of such creatures as ourselves (and it is beyond any of our religious beliefs) that’s WHY there is so much suffering that all living things can experience. We are here as a result of the Universe’s natural processes and are as fleeting as anything else – and yet we are part of a great system of life. It is up to us to learn and evolve and help ourselves and our planet, not some fairy tale that there is a warm, fuzzy God to make us feel special. There is no definitive proof of any religion and their are many religions because they are just man made attempts to understand our origins and we really don’t "have all the answers" as religious people like to think they do.

This seems to be my last resort. My boyfriend gets upset when I talk about our problems to my mom or friends so even when he’s not around I wont talk to anyone out of guilt. So please, anyone who has had a similar experience or maybe just has some advice, I would really appreciate it.

So at first, I fell in L.O.V.E with this amazing guy who was motivated and independent and incredibly sexy. After a few months into the relationship he began ignoring me kinda, as in no "i love yous" or cuddling. Then days after a his return from a work trip, we planned a night out for my birthday with my college buddies. When it was time to leave, he turned into a monster and was screaming and pushing me around and actually left the print of my back in the wall after grabbing me and pushing. This only happened once, and didn’t worry me after a long weekend of fighting and his apology. But since then he has been ignoring me and coming up with these unreal reasons to yell and fight. and I’m just lost, I don’t know what to do. I really try to change the little things about myself so I don’t upset him, but its gotten to the point where the tiny things turn into tornado’s (like he got mad that I innocently looked at a friends picture that my ex was in)

I know most people would just say leave him, but I love him and I depend on him for things I just cant do by myself. He says it because hes out of work and tired of not having any money (did I mention I pay all the bills?) and hes just frustrated. But he NEVER says hes sorry or even tries to make me feel better when I cry, He wont even stop yelling when I beg him to because I cant take anymore stress.

I just need some insight on how to make everything peachy again. I see that my marks are wayyy low and I risk failing this semester due to the facts that I’m always fighting with him, and I’m sponsored fo school and lose it if my marks drop. I just want him to be the nice guy he was before.

Sorry for the length! Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

I just climbed out of the tornado shelter and I could use a laugh. For spiritual purposes, of course.

BQ: name the move the person above you quoted.
I forgot to give you a quote! Here is mine, for your BQ pleasure: "That is my virgin alarm. It’s programmed to go off before you do."
Peng, there was a tornado. That’s not a whiskey tango foxtrot, it’s a phuking tornado. I believe that deserves fubar status, especially since we haven’t finished cleaning up from the new year’s eve tornado yet. I was picking up fiberglass insulation from a mile away just today.

I have a 27" Samsung Model #TX-R2735 with a video problem. The tv still has sound and HV is working but the only picture output is several horizontal lines in a zig zag pattern across the entire picture area. (Kinda looks like a tornado). Im thinking this is a vertical problem but am having trouble diagnosing this one.

Any help is appreciated!

I was outside and heard this loud " not a jet" or" tornado " roar,, It kept getting louder.. and for a second I was thinking that "this is the one" and hoping I had time to take a shower… It went over and you could see the tracking light and a jet following it … It didn’t hit the sound barrier but definitely got my attention…..Just wondering

as for any holy books It does not possess any mystical power of course, any more than a daily newspaper. The content, however, is interesting in what it claims. It was once held as containing the absolute truth, but even this is being challenged. We no longer believe that the world was created in a few days. Modern mosque/church leaders are also saying that Mary, mother of Jesus, was not really a virgin, and so on. Back in the past people did genuinely believe the /Quran/bible was ‘gospel’ and beyond question, but times, fortunately, have changed. The book is being ‘updated’ so that it will again be acceptable to today’s society. But is it really meaningful, can it be held up as ‘proof’ that God exists? No, of course not, we all know that, I may as well hold up a copy of ‘UFO News" as ‘proof’ of the existence of flying saucers.

In all discussions on religion, I know that at some point someone will start to quote at me from the bible/qu,ran to back-up their argument. I really wish they wouldn’t bother, its meaningless to do so, because it requires that the bible/quran be accepted as hard evidence, and as we have seen it quite simply isn’t so. The holy books can be interpreted any way you want, so why bother? And precisely how accurate are the stories in it anyway?

So, to answer the question, are all religions false? that’s for you to decide. But what do I believe? Read on if you like, as if you didn’t already know.

What do I think?

It is very difficult, if not impossible, to be completly objective about religion because we have all been raised to believe in one religion or another. How do you examine the subject without some of your own bias creeping in? I, for instance, was raised to believe in the muslim faith, simply because that happens to be the majority religion in the country, that by pure chance, I was born in. I didn’t choose islam, I was less than a year old at the time I became a signed-up member of the school. I certainly do not believe in it now. I do not believe that God is a kindly looking, bearded, white gentleman sitting on his throne in heaven surrounded by angels, and yes, that is the picture we were taught to believe as young, impressionable children at school, along with a whole load of other stuff just as daft. As an adult, all this was revised and we were told it was just symbolic, but as an adult I was also told that only true muslim will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. So to all you believers of other religions, sorry, you won’t be going to heaven, our local vicar told me. Clearly, islam is just as ridiculous as Mormonism.

I saw a typical poster outside a mosque recently depicting an idyllic country scene, complete with pretty waterfall, a little mist, pretty flowers, lambs and song birds, bearing the slogan "God is love". Why is it that those who believe that God is responsible for the way the world is, only show the good things. Would it not be just as correct to show say a picture of thousands of corpses as a result of a severe drought – and include the slogan ‘God is love’? The church only promotes the one (good) side of God’s supposed work. It is therefore, nothing more than a brainwashing propaganda exercise. The mosque must think us daft, and in order to believe their cozy, rosy picture of the world with good old father God taking care of things, we would have to be.
If ‘God’ can be praised for any good event that happens in the world, then this is claiming that God is responsible for the way the world is. That being the case God must also be responsible for the bad things as well, so why not attribute them to Him/her? If the bad things are not due to God, who says so? God? To blame mankind for these ‘bad’ events can not be right. Is it our fault that we have droughts, storms, floods, volcanic eruptions, heat waves, ice ages, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornadoes, disease, etc.etc.? I find the way that the church "cherry pick" ‘God’s work ‘ to be extremely annoying. If its good, its the work of God, if its bad its just one of those things. Why not just accept the fact that events are the result of chance, cause and effect, and random factors? If you do believe God is responsible for the way the world is then as well as praising Him for the good things you would also have to blame Him for the headline events listed on the following poster.

All religion is nothing more than an attempt to control a population by enforcing ‘laws’ that come from a higher authority that is beyond challenge, It is used as an extremely powerful tool to keep people ‘in line’. It is particularly useful in circumstances where the population are under duress, be it poverty, starvation, tyranny. whatever, because then the powers that rule will assure you that you must accept your lot, lead a good life, don’t rock the boat and cause any trouble, and you will be rewarded in the next life. Oh,
how old one must be in your eyes/mind to be expect as any expert? 500- ?
