Now it is your choice…….beleive it or not Nibiru will be visable by 2009 by telescopes then………2010 it will be visable by the naked eye.
Is it just an odd mixup that the Mayan calender ends in 2012?Now some people say that it is it’s own little solar system with a Brown Dwarf in the middle and Nibiru and an Earth sized object, maybe Nibiru’s moon or something, which i do not beleive and you should’nt either.Buy i do not think NASA would take it this seriously if NASA built a what they call "Planet X Tracker".
I am not so possitivly acting to this because they also said it’s coming in April 2003. The "Death Planet" is also another name for it. They say that 30Ft. giants as the bible refers to as the "Nephlim Giants" will come down and wipe out older men than children then women but men that are able to go in the military such as 16 yrs. – 30 yrs. old will be treated as the white treated blacks……….SLAVES FOR 500 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!See what happens, LIFE IS A BITCH!Now your prolly thinkin how the fuck are we goin to be slaves for 500 years?
I to thought the same thing but if you go back to mosses’ time the earth’s oxegen level was so high so then they lived sooo long. Now-a-days we loose a lot of it each year because we polute our air with cars and factories. So in about 30 years most peopl will live in Cnada because of global warming if we did not polute we would not have global warming.
They don’t polute so don’t have any thing like global warming they have very very high oxegen levels. Now the death planet is supposed to be the size of Jupiter. It’s year is 3600 earth years and live to be nearly 10,000,000,000 earth years now we will really be slave for 500 of they’re years. you wanna no take 3600 multiplied by 500=1,800,000,000 years nearly two-billion years!!!!!!!!
Now this planet is once again the size of Jupiter so when it comes around we will have pole shifts much too fast so it will be a LIVING HELL!!!Is what i mean by living hell is that we will have tsunamis 3 miles into the sky small twister, tornados, and hurricainens at a minimum of 300 mph!!!!!!!!!! Volcanoes will erupt left and right earthquakes magnitude 30 when the highest the earth has ever experienced was magnitude 9!!!!!!!!! Now before this happens Nephlim giants will take the slaves. Now the bible referrs to them as Nephlim Giants and they say gods such as Ra came from the death planet. Now idk if you’ve ever heard of "Noa’s Flood" which was in the bible times they say was created by the Nephlim giants because they were so pissed off because the population was 1 billion now they come back 3600 years later.HAHa HOW FUKIN PISSED WILL THEY BE WHEN TODAY OUR CURRENT POPULATION IS 6 1/2 BILLION ROUGHLY PEOPLE HERE? Also, the symbols for this planet are serpants, dragons, and last a circle or sphere with wings or rings bacuase they say the the Death Planet has wings and Hell is located on this planet.
This is mostley Zecharia Sitchin. Now you can beleive what you want if u want more info then go to youtube.com and type in
"NIBIRU 2012 THE END?"
Now it’s your choice……….either way it will happen maybe not in 2012 but it is coming just a little heads up!

- major corporations enlist their thousands of employees to pray together each day for ingenuity or inspiration against the competition?

- hospitals gather all their staff together in the chapel each morning and pray for all the days surgical procedures to go well?

- government agencies allocate millions of dollars to research the benefits of praying for success in combat, or to determine if prayer could help the homeless, or feed the hungry?

- Agencies like NASA begin each day with a nationwide satellite beamed prayer session urging the safe return of shuttle missions, or even for the Mars Rover to start responding again?

- Depts like the NOAA forgo severe weather reports and just broadcast messages telling everyone to pray for hurricanes to weaken, tornadoes to abate, blizzards to disappear, droughts to end and global warming to reverse itself?

What’s wrong with all these people??? Science obviously isn’t helping them. How can they ignore the power of prayer?

The Environment: How can you help it?

The environment is a mess. Everyone can understand that cant they? Well I’m not so sure. Nobody seems to care about anything that’s happening anymore. People will keep on polluting, throwing trash on the ground, cutting down the rainforest, and aiding in the continuation of global warming. When will it stop? What can you do to help stop it? It doesn’t take a genius. Go online and look up ways to help your environment. There is list after list and website after website that gives you ideas. Try recycling, or using cloth bags instead of plastic ones. Cut down on our electricity intake or go organic. You can do so much more for your planet than what you are doing. If you need volunteer hours, then pick up trash on the beach, or find an environmental club in the area. Whatever you do, just get up and do it already. Write letters to your city mayor asking him or her to do something environmental, like making recycling mandatory, or eliminating plastic bags from grocery stores. If you have a voice, use it. Now let’s talk about the rainforest. The rainforest is slowly but surely disappearing. But not everyone knows this, and not everyone cares. Until people realize what is happening, no one will try to stop it. And so as the years go by the rainforest will disappear. The rainforest provides us with much of our oxygen supply, most of our medicines and foods, and the majority of our paper products. Not only does it regulate temperatures and weather patterns, it also contains over 2,000 tropical plants containing anti-cancer properties. Without it we would be nothing. A typical four square mile patch of rainforest contains as many as 1,500 flowering plants, 750 species of trees, 400 species of birds and 150 species of butterflies. Each day over 100 species, known or unknown, become extinct as the rainforest is cut down. How much is cut down or ask? Every second a slice of rainforest the size of a football field is cut down. That’s 86,400 football fields of rainforest per day, or over 31 million football fields of rainforest each year. Not much rainforest left after that is there?
So what happens to the animals, the medicinal plants and the native people who live in the rainforest? They die off. Once everything is gone, our lives soon become in jeopardy. Our oxygen levels go down; the weather gets worse and worse, creating monstrous hurricanes and typhoons around the world. And on top of it all, our economy suffers. Everything we have and sell that once came from the rainforest will slowly become lower in quantity. Certain foods will no longer be in grocery stores, and paper products will be scarce in schools and offices. No money will come in for items that do not exist. So what can be done? It’s simple. Spread the word to your friends and family and ask them to support the rainforest. Donate money to programs that help the rainforest such as the Arbor Day Foundation or the Rainforest Action Network. Hold presentations or pass out brochures to your class. Do whatever it takes to save the rainforest. Our lives depend on it.
What about global warming? IT IS OUR FAULT. Deny it all you want but its true. If we didn’t pollute so much that we destroyed the UV rays, which makes the earth hotter, which melts the ice caps, then wouldn’t we all be better off? But who’s going to take action? Who’s going to stand up for what’s right, and get of their lazy behinds and do something? Polar bears are dying. Water levels are rising. Florida will be underwater if this continues. And if you love Disney world as much as I do then I’m sure you wouldn’t love to go there and have to wear scuba gear to get to it. I’m sure we all would rather watch TV and hang with friends, but right now isn’t the time. Right now we need to step up and stop spending all of our money on worthless junk at the store and start donating to causes that need it. You boys out there don’t need another video game, and the girls don’t need new makeup and clothes. What you need is to take that allowance that you would have spent on something for yourself and spend it on something that could save the world.
And on another negative note, oil prices. You can’t go one day without complaining about them. They just keep getting higher and higher, and soon you’ll be paying ten dollars a gallon. I hope everybody out there can ride bikes because that’s what you’ll be driving to work and school with. These high oil prices will not go down. The more higher they get the angrier people will become and who knows, we might even have a world war 3. Make a protest. If everyone in this world went one day without buying gas, the whole oil economy will suffer greatly. This may seem cruel but it in fact would make a huge difference. The fall of the oil economy will make people realize that oil is just too high for people to buy anymore and so they have stopped buying it altogether. If they become desperate enough they’ll lower the price of gas in order to keep the money flowing. But since nobody has the guts to do anything about it, then I suggest you stop complaining. If you hear someone complaining about oil prices, or saying something about global warming, and how everybody is hurting the environment, I want you to stand up and with your loudest voice say “then let’s do something about it! Let’s stop talking about it and do something because actions speak louder than words!” We are the only thing that can stop this destruction of the planet. Not God, not a miracle, not even magic or wishing or praying. Our actions, our protests, our courage and bravery to stand up to the stupid people with cold and black hearts who don’t care are the only thing that can make a difference. Use what you got and use it well, or live with the shame.

Self-Funding Method to "Reverse" Global Warming
while providing Abundant Clean Energy:

http://blog.360.yahoo.com/jamesbdunn?p=224

NASA has already identified these systems as being able to provide many times the global needs for energy production by using space based solar concentrators. So why are we still using fossil fuels?

If we used fossil fuels JUST for producing products (asphalt, antifreeze, plastics, …) then we would have a supply that would last a thousand years and more. However, by using fossil fuels as fuel, we have less than a 100 year supply while producing enormous amounts of pollution.

Also, the mechanism by which solar concentrators work, is the same mechanism by which global weather can be controlled. (dissipating hurricanes, dissipating tornados, eliminating droughts, providing predictable rainfall, eliminating extreme temperatures, rebuilding glaciers and the artic ice pack, ….)

How do we influence politicians to actively create a system?

How can you make things up such as Socialist One World Government? Where does that come from? Or a scheme to make you pay more taxes?

Santa Catarina!
I’m from there, I’ve seen climate change with my own eyes, people I know lost their homes
Never a cyclone struck Brazil before.
Never had any tornadoes.
Worst storms, floods, heavy rain fall in the last 2 decades.
Billions spent on reconstruction
Thousands lost their homes and are STILL living on shelters

And that’s nor all! It’s happening all over the world more and more frequent..

Now you come here with all your BS that global warming is a hoax, just because "uuuuh I’m tooo afraid to pay more taxeeeez", "uUUUh my liberties"

How bad are we for trying to save others huh?
1oz of prevention is worth 2lb of cure
If you don’t know oz = ounces, and lb = pounds

You people are selfish.
Super Skeptic:
You are joking right?
I really want to believe you’re joking, cause if you’re not. Kill yourself.
coldfuse:
It’s not global warming?
Ok what is it then?
I’ll give the best answer to anyone who can give any suggestions..

I really dont know much about it so I was doing some research and I found this website,

http://www.middlebury.net/op-ed/global-warming-01.html

the article is really long so I dont expect you to read it (unless you really want to) so here’s the summary that was towards the end of the article

1. The "Greenhouse Effect" is a natural and valuable phenomenon, without which, the planet would be uninhabitable.

2. Modest Global Warming, at least up until 1998 when a cooling trend began, has been real.

3. CO2 is not a significant greenhouse gas; 95% of the contribution is due to Water Vapor.

4. Man’s contribution to Greenhouse Gasses is relatively insignificant. We didn’t cause the recent Global Warming and we cannot stop it.

5. Solar Activity appears to be the principal driver for Climate Change, accompanied by complex ocean currents which distribute the heat and control local weather systems.

6. CO2 is a useful trace gas in the atmosphere, and the planet would actually benefit by having more, not less of it, because it is not a driver for Global Warming and would enrich our vegetation, yielding better crops to feed the expanding population.

7. CO2 is not causing global warming, in fact, CO2 is lagging temperature change in all reliable datasets. The cart is not pulling the donkey, and the future cannot influence the past.

8. Nothing happening in the climate today is particularly unusual, and in fact has happened many times in the past and will likely happen again in the future.

9. The UN IPCC has corrupted the "reporting process" so badly, it makes the oil-for-food scandal look like someone stole some kid’s lunch money. They do not follow the Scientific Method, and modify the science as needed to fit their predetermined conclusions. In empirical science, one does NOT write the conclusion first, then solicit "opinion" on the report, ignoring any opinion which does not fit their predetermined conclusion while falsifying data to support unrealistic models.

10. Polar Bear populations are not endangered, in fact current populations are healthy and at almost historic highs. The push to list them as endangered is an effort to gain political control of their habitat… particularly the North Slope oil fields.

11. There is no demonstrated causal relationship between hurricanes and/or tornadoes and global warming. This is sheer conjecture totally unsupported by any material science.

12. Observed glacial retreats in certain select areas have been going on for hundreds of years, and show no serious correlation to short-term swings in global temperatures.

13. Greenland is shown to be an island completely surrounded by water, not ice, in maps dating to the 14th century. There is active geothermal activity in the currently "melting" sections of Greenland.

14. The Antarctic Ice cover is currently the largest ever observed by satellite, and periodic ice shelf breakups are normal and correlate well with localized tectonic and geothermal activity along the Antarctic Peninsula.

15. The Global Warming Panic was triggered by an artifact of poor mathematics which has been thoroughly disproved. The panic is being deliberately nurtured by those who stand to gain both financially and politically from perpetuation of the hoax.

16. Scientists who "deny" the hoax are often threatened with loss of funding or even their jobs.

17. The correlation between solar activity and climate is now so strong that solar physicists are now seriously discussing the much greater danger of pending global cooling.

18. Biofuel hysteria is already having a disastrous effect on world food supplies and prices, and current technologies for biofuel production consume more energy than the fuels produce.

19. Global Warming Hysteria is potentially linked to a stress-induced mental disorder.

20. In short, there is no "climate crisis" of any kind at work on our planet.

I’m just looking for opinions about this matter or contradicting articles on the web.

Do you think people are causing global warming?

Humans in general are VERY two faced. But there are good ones out there and luckily I am one of them. But I do not need to stand up and shout I am good.

I don’t need attention, I enjoy being friendly and making people happy. Even though at the same time I want to punch some people out.

We do not own Planet Earth, we did not create the Universe. Earth owns us. It’s natural disasters are more powerful than our disasters.

Earthquakes? Hurricanes? Tornadoes? Thunder Storms? Tsunamis? etc.

Yes humans are very destructive, but the Earth’s natural disasters are the disasters that kill us a lot and can’t be stopped.

Yes we cause pollution, yes we build homes, but somehow that wrecks the earth. So we go GREEN.

Well we need homes too, we can’t all ride horses anymore you know. Planet Earth was never ours, we didn’t have cars when the Ice Age occurred.

So now what? The polar ice caps are melting? Global warming?

PEOPLE! the only reason why this world is so hateful is because people put negative thoughts in their heads all the time.

The Universe controls your life, you want negative you will get negative.

You want positive? Put positive thoughts into your head and the Universe will bring positivity to you!

You need shelter, and the animals can’t stop you from building homes!

i need some helpp pleaseeee!?

2.The opening scene shows the collapse of a massive ice shelf (a floating glacier) in Antarctica. Could this really happen? If so, how might this affect global sea levels?

3.Is it realistic to think our climate is in a fragile state? What does burning fossil fuels have to do with global warming ice caps?

4.At the meeting in India, Jack mentions how the climate is fragile but the vice- oersident states the economy is even more fragile? Talk about the difference between a fragile economy and a fragile climate. Should the vice-president have dismissed Jack’s claims because of the coststo fix the problems with global warming?

5.What is happening in New York with the animals in the city? Why are all the birds in the city leaving? Why are the animals in the zoo going crazy? Is this a sign? Do animals have a sixth sense which can predict natural disasters?

6. In the movie, tornadoes whip through Angeles and flatten the city. New York City is engulfed
by an enormous tidal wave and freezes, burying the city in ice. Could this really happen so quickly
with these effects?
7. Jack predicts the cause of this drastic climate shift is due to the disruption of the North Atlantic
Current. What is the cause of this change in the current? Can this really happen to fast? Can one
storm really create an ice age?
8. The movie depicts a massive freeze sweeping across Europe and the northern United States,
resulting in a mass migration to Mexico for survival. Is this how global warming is likely to
develop? Why or why not? Why were people fleeing to Mexico in the first place? Did the
president make the right decision to evacuate ONLY the southern states and leave the people
behind in the northern states?
9. Explain what happens in the “eye of the storm.” Why can you survive the eye of the storm if you
are inside and have shelter but instantaneously freeze if you are outside? Is it realistic that the fire
stayed lit in the library where Sam was and in the shelter where Jack was? (Think about what
happened to the fuel in the helicopters in Scotland).
10. Explain the following comment from the astronaut after the storm cleared: “Have you ever seen
the air so clear?” What is the significance of this statement?
i no! its a movie but the library doesnt have it and isnt getting it for 2 weeks, so now i have to find the answers some how. and pleasee answer if you no any even if its just one it will really help me outt!!

World’s objective in glorifying the theory of carbon emission reduction is wrong, obtained only from impressions gained through senses which turn out to be an illusion – not directly related or connected in constructively eradicating global warming & climate change in reality.

It is unfortunate that the world is unable to find & discover anything of value, essential to save man & earth. People became duller and dumber or totally blind. And the scientific community evaded and turned away from the basic sciences being taught in schools and therefore they betrayed the trust of the people for their concealment of true facts or, conversely, for their negligence in not giving the real facts. Moreover, it was also very disappointing that some Filipino people (in collaboration with politicians) tried to pirate the concept & modify the invention of the author Winston Kayanan but they were unsuccessful for they could not operate a portion as well as explain it. And no laws such as clean air act, ecological waste management act as well as other programs such as, among others, carbon trading, alternative energy, earth hour, plant forest, mitigation & adaptation including the Kyoto Protocol treaty can defeat the universal power & strength of the Philippine technology in curing the environment.

With God’s guidance, the author was able to envisage in a larger context of how global warming & climate change can be eliminated and how the environment can be repaired & rejuvenated. For every natural disaster that occurred, the author knew that the technology he made was very appropriate in total unison with nature. And he knew that he can plausibly explain the underlying cause & effect of each phenomenon while the scientific community could not up to this time. These include wildfires in California & Europe (always attributed to arson instead of the laser-effect of solar radiation); sudden death in France (a mystery instead of the temporary loss or shortage of O2); landslides in the Philippines (softening of the soil instead compression of CO2 under the soil); desertification (extreme activity of decay microorganisms, eating up organic matter of the soil); taller waves (sudden escape of high volume of CO2 gas after carbon sink); and, many more.

God’s reason for giving such powerful multi-purpose & multi-benefit technology thru the author is the physical plan of universally repairing & rejuvenating earth that is immediately necessary in accordance with the failures & faults of UNEP including FAO, WHO and WMO aside from other disciplines of ECOSOC’s agencies in terms of food shortages, water crisis, energy crisis, labor difficulties & problems, recession and many others. If God did not put a contingency, a temporary buffer in the forces of nature (specifically, carbon sink whereby its underlying purpose is to maintain &/or control the leverage of O2 and CO2 in the atmosphere), life on earth will stop to exist. And mankind will not anymore reach the 21st century because, without carbon sink, the ratio of O2 & CO2 will be perverted, causing simultaneous disasters of earthquakes, tornadoes, storms, wildfires, tsunamis, landslides, volcanic eruptions, pestilence, etc., which could have already destroyed organisms & earth in the 20th century or earlier.

We should thank God for placing such remedial force on nature. However, in philosophically analyzing this nature’s remedy, the author considers carbon sink as “putting dirt under the carpet” which is not a (permanent & autonomous) self-curing action of nature and therefore it should not be abused otherwise it will also kill life in the ocean (such as loss of O2, acidification, etc.) as primary consequence followed by the development of sea disasters, storm surges & others. At times, CO2 will also escape which can best be illustrated by the bubbling waters in France (i.e., the intermittent escape of CO2). Let this be known that the biological, chemical & physiological domicile of carbon is in dry lands and not in wetlands.

i think the world is changing!its already jan and there has bin fatal injuries already because of the weather!california got hit by a big storm, the middle area of the united states was hit by about 50 tornadoes in the first month, and there were flash floods!also we are losing water from the great lakes!is the climate changing?also if we lose all our water from the great lakes then we are going to have to get water from our enamies water!that can lead to world war 3!what do you think of 2008?do you think its getting to a bad start or are we ganna be able to finish good?for me i think 2008 is ganna be bad!
i hope the next president trys to stop this disater from happining!global warming plays a giant roll in how we live!

We have heard that global warming has caused hot weather, cold weather, ice melts, increases in ice, more intense hurricanes, more hurricanes, higher water levels, droughts, fires, floods, blizzards, heat waves, penguin deaths, polar bear deaths, frog deaths, social strife, disease, decreases in food supplies, crime, wars, and famine.

So the question is: what can’t be blamed on global warming?
Yankee S. I disagree. Global warming caused the snow in New England for the playoff game against the Raiders, leading to Brady fumbling and leading to brain-freeze by the referees. This, in turn, led to the "tuck rule" debacle, which handed the game back to the Pats, allowing them eventually to win their Super Bowl. So without global warming to cause the blizzard, the Pats would not have won it that year.

Yeah In Minnesota it does get too cold and snowy way too soon. But over here in Brazil its not even fair, you can frie an egg in the car, even in california it used to get too hot. when its too hot I set the shower to cold and the water still is warm. I´d prefer to be somewhere were it gets 20 below than where it gets 110 °F. But resuming about global warming I think it might have a big impact considering that we had no tornados prior to the industrial revolution , and innumerous natural disasters compared to now days that I believe to be caused by it. It´s not simply warming up the planet and having the greenhouse effect. Since it takes centuries for the earth to warm up or cool down 1°C and the 5-year moving average of the global average temperature has increased by only about 0.7 degrees Celsius over the last 100 years I think that the hurricanes, tornados, and tsunamis are the biggest catastrophe that we have to worry about concerning that.

Weather Has Always Happened,
But Now It’s Political and It’s on the News
May 10, 2007

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Yesterday I actually opened the program by asking if anybody had seen Algore or Laurie David conducting a press conference on the first subtropical storm out there, subtropical storm Andrea Mitchell — which, by the way, have you seen the latest forecast track? They’ve got it doing circles. It’s going to come close to making landfall a little south of Jacksonville. Now it’s not going to make landfall and it’s going to turn back out to sea. You watch. The thing is going to head our way before it’s all said and done. You just watch. Regardless, I was prescient once again. Laurie David shows up on PMSNBC this morning. Joe Scarborough is taking his shot at the morning show and Scarborough asking her about the Malibu fires, California fires, and she launched.

DAVID: I mean, do you believe what’s going on in this country weatherwise? I mean, are you guys talking about this? I mean, honestly, let me just ask you this here, okay? When you were growing up, do you remember that "severe weather" was a regular category every night on the evening news? Do you remember that?

RUSH: No. The reason was there was no political agenda behind the weather when we were growing up, Laurie. Now there’s a political agenda driving the weather. It’s called global warming. There are no such things as "weather phenomenon." It’s a sorry thing that happened in Greensburg, Kansas, but tornadoes happen. They’ve been happening long before we were born, Laurie, before we were kids, and so do hurricanes and they’ve been happening. There’s nothing that happens in weather that’s unique. Nothing that happens in weather that is unprecedented. It’s not possible. This planet has been around too long! How many billions and billions and billions of years have the planet been around? All of a sudden for us, during our lifetimes, all of a sudden things are happening that have never happened before? Oh, my God, and we’re the ones responsible! Oh, my God. We’re ruining the planet. Oh, no. Really? Oh, my God, we gotta do something! We need higher taxes. One square of toilet paper per bathroom visit. Why, we’ve got to change our light bulbs.

It’s absurd. It’s patently absurd.

I’m going to read something to you from our local paper here, the Palm Beach Post. This is about Tropical Storm Andrea Mitchell out there. I want to read the first couple of lines, and see if anything reaches out and grabs you. "Three weeks before hurricane guides appear in local grocery stores, subtropical storm Andrea [Mitchell] swirled off the north Florida coast Wednesday, a reminder that Mother Nature is in charge here. The first named May storm in more than a quarter century, Andrea [Mitchell], isn’t expected to strengthen much beyond its current 45-mile-per-hour winds and may not even strike land." What stands out at you in that sentence? Dawn, what stands out? No. See, this is how they do it. Dawn’s reaction: "It’s not going to strike land." No, what stands out is this: "The first named May storm in more than a quarter century." That means that 25 years ago there was one in May. There was a named storm prior to the June 1st hurricane season, 25 years ago. Twenty-five years ago they were warning us of global cooling, a new ice age. So, yeah, we got this thing out there, and the Laurie Davids of the world hype all over this and claim it’s a result of global warming — and, of course, man’s decadent lifestyle. But there’s nothing happening today in weather that has not happened before countless, countless other times.

More audio sound bites. Katie Couric, by the way, let me tell you what happened on this. Yesterday I also opened the show and I offered — because when I saw that the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric’s ratings are the lowest they’ve been since 1987, 20 years, I offered — myself as exclusive interview subject to Katie and the CBS Evening News. I’d do a live interview, in order to jack the ratings, because I’m Rush Limbaugh: I am ratings. I offered to help. CBS did call. 60 Minutes called. My old buddy from 60 Minutes who produced the first segment, the only one, the first one they did of me way back in the early ’90s, Bob Andersen, called and he said, "We’ll be happy to have Katie interview you for 60 Minutes and then run excerpts of that interview on the evening news."

We smiled. "Nice try, Bob. You’re a smart guy, but, no, the deal was I offer myself to Katie for the evening news: one shot, live interview," knowing full-well it will never happen, ladies and gentlemen, for a host of reasons, but among the reasons at the top is: Can you imagine if a live interview with me actually did jack the ratings? What would that say? We know that it would. We would make sure that it did, because I am Rush Limbaugh. I am ratings. Anyway, we have a sound bite from Katie on her CBS Evening News last night about all this "extreme weather."
COURIC: Already this month federal disasters have been declared in six states. By the way, don’t think nature has spared the rest of the world. Australia is dealing with its worst drought ever. Italy is also suffering through a drought. Meanwhile, usually dry parts of northern Africa have been hit with deadly rainstorms. And it seems almost biblical that 2007 is the Year of the Locust.

RUSH: Wait, it’s a newscast. How does that get thrown in? And it seems almost biblical? By the way, Katie, your audience doesn’t want to hear references to the Bible. Big no, no, don’t know who put that on the prompter. But somebody should have gotten it off of there. Now we have a montage from MSNBC’s Amy Robach, ABC’s Sam Champion, NBC’s Dawn Fratangelo and Matt Lauer on subtropical storm Andrea Mitchell.

ROBACH: We have a named storm three weeks before the season is even supposed to start.

CHAMPION: Tropical Storm Andrea is three weeks ahead of the hurricane season.

FRATANGELO: She’s called Andrea, arriving a full three weeks before the official start of hurricane season.

LAUER: The first named store is hovering offshore weeks before it should be there. Andrea only the 17th named storm in history to arrive before June 1st.

RUSH: Only the 17th? Only the 17th? Only the 17th? Why, that means there have been 16 named storms before the start of hurricane season before Andrea Mitchell. Well, that indicates some sign of tumult and chaos in the natural order of things out there. Only the 17th time in history. Now, not in history, in recorded history, because until we came along, the earth didn’t know that June 1st was the start of hurricane season. You think Mother Nature knew that June 1st was — do you think that Mother Nature even knows when it’s June? We call it June and we say hurricane season starts on June 1st. Look at Palm Beach. We’ve got turtle season starting on March 1st. They don’t show up until May 1st. You think the turtles know they’re supposed to be here in March because we’ve got a town council making an ordinance saying we gotta turn out the lights? I have an Abyssinian cat. Do you think my cat knows it’s an Abyssinian cat? In fact, do you think my cat even knows it’s a cat? I guarantee you my cat thinks it’s a person. Cats have staff. Dogs have masters. We invent all these terms, so the idea that there have been 17 named storms before hurricane season — did we get hurricane season in the 10 Commandments? Is there some proclamation from some higher power that says June 1st, anything that happens before that, something is wrong. Grow up, folks.

RUSH: This is Rick in Malibu. Nice to have you, sir, and welcome to the EIB Network.

CALLER: Thanks, Rush. Thanks for having me on. I had to call because I started giggling a little bit about all this global warming hysteria. When you played that clip earlier of Laurie David connecting the Los Angeles wildfires, the one in Griffith Park to global warming, when the conventional wisdom and the current theory out here is that the fire was started when a man with a lit cigarette fell asleep in the park. That’s what the news is out here. So unless global warming caused that man to fall asleep, I don’t really see the connection, do you?

RUSH: No, no, no, no. That’s not what they’ll say. It might have been a cigarette. It might have been a bum or anybody else throwing a cigarette, but if it weren’t for global warming causing less rainfall than normal, the Griffith Park wouldn’t have gone up in flames the way it did! That’s what they’ll say. They’ve got this down pat. But all they’re doing is playing on the fact that, okay, we’ve got fires in Georgia. In fact, I have to tell you. We had fires in Florida here. It’s bad. Alligator Alley, which connects Fort Lauderdale to Naples, has been shut down, parts of it have been. I told you yesterday that I walked outside and the sky is totally gray, looks overcast, but there’s not a cloud nearby. It’s the smoke from all the fires. You can smell it a little bit out there. The kids are out playing in the schoolyard, being highly irresponsible. (I’m joking about this.) It’s as though all these kind of fires — you heard Katie Couric — biblical proportions, 2007, the Year of the Locust! It’s preposterous. All of this is preposterous. Global warming is responsible for all the fires!

When did we start naming hurricanes? I happen to know. Do any of you know when we started naming hurricanes? It was 1951, which happens to be the year that I was born. 1951. What were hurricanes before that? What did we call them? By the way, how do we know this is only the 17th storm to precede hurricane season because we’re only able to see these things around the world with satellites, and how long have we had satellites? Not much before 1951. How do we even know? All of this is just… I don’t know how to describe it, but it really frightens me for the overall intelligence of the people of this country. I’m starting to agree with those of you that have called me and said we’ve got way too many idiots in this country. You can see them easily by how many of them just suck up all the BS from the left.

RUSH: Welcome back. Rush Limbaugh, talent on loan from God. Johnny in El Paso. Thanks for calling and welcome to the EIB Network, sir.

CALLER: Thanks, Rush. Thanks for taking my call. That guy in Griffith Park that burned down the park? If the smoking Nazis had allowed that guy to smoke indoors instead of outdoors, he probably would have just burned his cigarette out in an ashtray. You know, in New Mexico when they had the peak of the forest fire season, it was against the law to smoke outside. You would get a ticket for smoking outdoors.

RUSH: You can’t smoke inside anymore. I don’t know who started this fire out in Griffith Park. The caller said it was a bum. If it was a bum that means the bum didn’t have an indoors to go to. But it is an interesting thought. If the bum had been indoors somewhere and threw the cigarette down, it would just be one house that went up instead of a whole park. Outdoors… I don’t want to call the guy a bum because it would be an unfair characterization. He was an outdoorsman, out there trying to enjoy life, had a little cigarette, flipped it off and bam! We’ve got a fire. It is an interesting thing: the unintended consequences of all this liberal do-gooderism.

I need a 2 paragraph summary on this article and I’m stumped! I have one day to do this and I have an E! Omg help please!
Here’s the article:
Global warming is shorthand for "climate change," and the term is correct if you realize that it’s referring to the average temperature of the Earth over years and decades; not to the temperatures at particular times and places.

"Climate change" is a much better term because much more than warming is involved, although the changes first begin with the globe’s average warming. This average warming can cause changes in patterns of rainfall. It can lead to more snow piling up in places such as Antarctica and Greenland, and it can even include some parts of the Earth growing colder.

Scientists have managed to figure out a general, fairly detailed picture of the Earth’s climate going back more than 100,000 years, before the beginning of the last ice age.

This history shows that temperatures of different parts of the Earth, and even the Earth’s average temperature, have swung widely in the past into and out of ice ages, long before humans could have affected the climate.

Still, climate scientists say the evidence is strong that humans are responsible for much of the warming since early in the 20th century.

There’s no doubt that the amount of carbon dioxide in the air — a "greenhouse" gas — has increased. This increase in a greenhouse gas is bound to "force" the climate in one direction or another with a general warming being one of the effects.

Climate scientists also have strong reasons for saying that as humans continue adding gasses to the air, warming is likely to continue through this century.

Many questions remain to be answered. These include how much of the warming to date has been caused by humans, how much is natural. Only estimates offering wide ranges of how much the climate should warm during this century are available.

Many questions remain about the effects of a generally warmer climate.

While climate scientists don’t agree on all of the points made, a recent report issued by working groups (or committees) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the best place to begin understanding the current state of climate change science. The IPCC, which is made up of scientists from 113 countries, was created by the U.N. in 1988 and releases its assessments every five or six years.

The report by the world’s top climate scientists said global warning was "very likely" man-made and would bring higher temperatures and a steady rise in sea levels for centuries to come regardless of how much the world slows or reduces its greenhouse gas emissions. "Warming of the climate system is unequivocal, as is now evident from observations of increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widspread melting of snow and ice, and rising global mean sea level," said the IPCC report.

Here are some of the primary findings of the IPCC report:

THE CAUSE: Global warming is "very likely" caused by man, the strongest conclusion to date.

THE OUTLOOK: Now that the world has begun to warm, hotter temperatures and rises in sea level "would continue for centuries" no matter how much humans control their pollution.

TEMPERATURE CHANGE: The panel predicted temperature rises of 2°F-11.5°F by the year 2100. That was a wider range than in the 2001 report. However, the panel also said its best estimate was for temperature rises of 3.2°F-7.1°F. In 2001, all the panel gave was a range of 2.5°F-10.4°F.

SEA LEVELS: The report projected rises of 7-23 inches by the end of the century. An additional 3.9-7.8 inches are possible if recent, surprising melting of polar ice sheets continues.

HURRICANES: An increase in hurricane and tropical cyclone strength since 1970 "more likely than not" can be attributed to man-made global warming. The scientists said global warming’s connection varies with storms in different parts of the world, but that the storms that strike the Americas are global warming-influenced.

The report notes that no global changes have been noted during the 20th century in terms of the numbers of storms or their strength. "No systematic changes in the frequency of tornadoes, thunder days, or hail events are evident in the limited areas analyzed."

While snow cover and sea ice in the Northern Hemisphere are expected to continue decreasing, and glaciers should continue retreating, (as they did during the 20th century) the Antarctic ice sheet should grow. This is because warmer air can hold more humidity, which will increase the amount of snow in Antarctica. This in turn, will offset some of the water being added by melting glaciers and some melting of the Greenland ice cap.

The "ice age" tornadoes are just more proof the CO2 global warming theory is flawed. The predicted "hottest winter on record" did not happen.

" Miserably cold. Even record-breaking cold. The mercury dropped to minus-29 degrees Fahrenheit during the night, shattering the 104-year-old record "

To ElaineMT :
It is little known news that the CO2 global warming theory was proven completely wrong last summer. The data used in Al Gore’s movie was wrong.
Global warming "experts" know about the new data, but CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, and etc. are still broadcasting lies.
Global warming theorists are now official members of the flat earth society.

"The hottest year since 1880 becomes 1934 instead of 1998, which is now just second; 1921 is third."
"Last week, NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies — whose temperature records are a key component of the global-warming claim (and whose director, James Hansen, is a sort of godfather of global-warming alarmism) — quietly corrected an error in its data set that had made recent temperatures seem warmer than they really were"

Temperatures in the 1900’s fell while CO2 increased. 1998 was not the hottest year on record.

Because of recently launced satellites, we now know the sun’s temperature is changing constantly.

Many English schools are now forbidden from playing "An Inconvenient Truth" in classrooms. There are over 10 misleading mistakes in the movie.

NASA data has shown minute changes in the can change the temperature of the earth dramatically. In fact, NASA has proven the sun caused the world to leave the great ice age in less than 20 years. That is extremely fast from a geological standpoint.

The ice age ended with glacier and ice covered Canada and the upper U.S. melting. Melting ice from cycles of ice ages carved the grand canyon and carved undersea canyons in the Gulf of Mexico.

Also, NASA data has proved that the "Little Ice Age" during medieval times was caused by less light reaching the earth ("solar variability", which means changes in the sun). NASA’s data about the little ice age: http://tinyurl.com/227h3p (This data can be copied and pasted it into Excel to chart it.)
Other facts:
1) 6,000 years ago, the earth was hotter than it is today. There were no Hummers around back then.
2) 140,000 years ago the earth had record CO2 levels and there were no gasoline powered cars.
3) The temperature of the Earth has only increased by 0.65 of a degree in the last 110 years. There were faster increases in temperatures around 10,000 years ago and there were no gasoline powered cars during that time.
4) Strong hurricanes are normal. Hundreds of years ago, they used to sink ships off of the coast of Florida.

And, USA Today printed an article about Japan’s record temperature in 1933. NASA’s corrected data shows the greatest temperature was in the U.S. was in 1934. Japan’s records are separate from NASA’s records and both have similar figures.
NASA website: "Rapid changes between ice ages and warm periods (called interglacials) are recorded in the Greenland ice sheet. Occurring over ONE OR TWO DECADES [10 or 20 years] , the warming of the Earth at the end of the last ice age happened much faster than the rate of change of the Earth’s orbit."

Like one that sucks lava out of a volcano and sprays it everywhere? Or an f6 that digs down to bedrock and throws soil and sediment around? Does nature have limits on tornado strength, or have we just been lucky? Will global warming contribute? I’ve heard it will increase hurricane strength. Imagine the sight. Tornado chasers would reach zen nirvana!

If any of you live on the west coast (of either Canada or the US) you’ll have noticed we’ve been having some sketchy weather lately. For two months now, we’ve been battered by storm after storm bringing heavy rains and hurricane-like winds. In all the years I have lived on the west coast, never have I witnessed anything this crazy! And its not just the west coast thats suffering… All across the country and world it seems like there have been increasing reports of hurricanes, tornadoes, drought, hot weather, mild weather, etc… Is it just me or is global warming finally screwing us over, and why aren’t we as humans doing anything to prevent it?!?!

I mean he was responsible for the horrible hurricane in New Orleans as well as most other problems in the world today. Shouldn’t he just own up to the fact that he is responsible for the fires in CA? He has been in office for 6.5 years. Surely he could have stocked up water supplies in California in anticipation of these fires. He should have been training extra fire fighters personally over the last 6 years so that there would be an abundance of them to fight these fires.

When did Bush know about these fires? Did he fail to act in time? Weren’t there warnings about these fires years ago. I have been to CA and have seen road signs that warn about wildfires, shouldn’t Bush have heeded the road signs warnings?

Finally, did Bush actually set the fires to contribute to global warming? I mean, the temp must have gone up a few degrees because of these fires. All that smoke in the air, the extra traffic from evacuations, etc….this is obviously a vast right wing conspiracy.

Last tornado to hit California
AUG 30, 2000 6:45 PM No deaths No injuries Tornado scale: F1
Date of last tornado: 1/20/2010

Drought occurred in Lemoore, California, and lasted three whole years. After conserving, and almost about to give up, rainfall hits the area suddenly with much more rain then they’ve had before.

Tornado in Texas. January 20, 2010.
Snow in Texas was here just a few weeks ago.

Freeze occurred in California.
New York had a day over 71 degrees a week or so into winter.
There is no snow in the Alps.

I’m just wondering what all of this strange weather is happening outside of the United States?
Are there any strange weather phenomenons occurring ever since this "Global Warming?"
And please give me some reference sites.

For years we were told that the increase in green house gases would cause the planets temperatures to increase. We would have more hurricanes, polar ice would melt, coastal areas would flood due to rising sea levels, interiors would bake under the hot sun and droughts, food supplies would dwindle, humanity would be doomed.

However not one dire prediction seems to be coming true, even with a steady increase of co2.

The Earth appears to be getting colder, ice caps are above normal levels, and there hasn’t been an active hurricane season in 2 years.

When are we going to stop listening to these profits of doom and realize that no one can predict the future, and anyone that says they can is either delusional or conning us?

When will we realize that there better uses for our resources, and end the funding of so called “global warming”?

Is it just me, or is there really major weirdness with the weather around the world lately–earthquakes in places where hardly any are reported, tornadoes in Brooklyn, etc.? Is this the result of global warming, or is this part of a bigger weather cycle? What’s the deal?

what i am trying to say is like in a state where there is harly hurricanes or tornadoes and suddenly there is and it’s weird is it possibe that it could be because of global warming?

Like I do because like last week there was a tornado in southern california and theres not supposed to be plus it was also snowing in california when its almost summer and it doesnt snow in the valleys of california. +the earthquake in china and the tornadoes in colorado. Does anyone believe that this was caused by global warming (besides me)?
ITS NOT JUST A STUPID MELTING GLACIER ITS EVERYTHING!!! pollution causes alot of it to. its your kids future just think about that. Think about how long you want your kids to live.

12. What effect can a very large volcanic eruption have on earth’s climate? (Points: 3)
It will warm the earth’s surface as more heat is trapped by the dust particles.

It will warm the earth’s surface as more lava is released by the volcanic eruption.

It will cool the earth’s surface as radiation from the sun is blocked from entering the atmosphere.

It will cool the earth’s surface as more snow will fall with the presence of more condensation nuclei.

13. What is the upward movement of cold water from the ocean depths called? (Points: 3)
global warming
upwelling
El Niño
La Niña

14. El Niño begins with which of the following? (Points: 3)
upwelling of cold ocean water

the westward movement of winds and currents in the Pacific

heavy mudslides in California and tornadoes in Florida

the eastward movement of winds and currents in the Pacific

15. What impact does El Niño have on the fishing industry? (Points: 3)
Fishermen are unable to fish with the intense winds and currents.

Nutrients no longer come to the surface, so fish die or migrate.

Ocean temperatures are too warm for some fish.

An increase in the number of sea birds depletes the fish supply.

16. Countries such as Australia and Indonesia will experience heavier than normal rains during which of the following? (Points: 3)
La Niña
ice ages
interglacial periods
El Niño
