right now theres a storm outside bigger than any storm ive ever seen.

and now theres a tornado warning for my area… im so scared because ive never, ever seen really bad weather in my life ,and my dog is crying because of the thunder…

how do you calm yourself down when theres scary weather? considering i have really bad panic attacks and had just calm down until i woke up to my dog crying… :(

i know a sound like a little kid, but jeez im a southern california resident all my life, the worst ive seen was small earthquakes.. nothing like this rain, and never had a TORNADO warning so close to me! and the tree outside my window is looking pretty scary… :|
its not just a little rain, my street is flooded and im stuck at the house… :/

sorry, i sound stupid but ive literally never ever been in weather this bad.. i just need some reassurance.
we dont have a basement… :X or a room without windows… :X

where is the next safest place to go? cause we got an automated call from the city telling us to be careful and theres one of those clouds a few cities away…

whats safer… a bathtub, or a shower with a door? me and my mom need to know what to do if we have to hide… or would hiding under my bed work best? but i dont think we’d both fit down there… i dunno, they never gave us tornado drill practice when i was in elementary school or whatever, because we’ve never had to worry about it..!

Back in mid-April, my brother and I were driving on a highway in Texas through bad weather. I noticed the clouds above us were rotating and just then the wind picked up and some trees next to us fell over and a transformer blew. We barely managed to escape the forming tornado and were naturally shaken up a bit by the incident.

Ever since then, he and I have regularly dreamed about tornadoes: being chased by them and trying to find shelter.

I was wondering if we could be traumatized or maybe the incident is still fresh in our subconscious? I mean, we laughed about it right after it happened and we aren’t the type to freak out easily, so why the recurring dreams?

I’m a fanatic of supercell thunderstorms and tornadoes, it’s like an thing that i am hooked onto. I’ve started having the hobbies of watching tornadoes back when i first got my 1st computer when i was 12 years old, we had dial up back then but i used to watch storm chaser’s tornado videos like all day. I’m 19 years old right and i have a laptop and i keep a bunch of photos and videos that i shot of thunderstorms when it rolled through my town and i would upload it to youtube for sharing, i have dsl now. But would any wife would let their husband have this kind of hobby ? Sometimes during a severe thunderstorm warning or tornado watch i would go outside and snap photos of the clouds before it rained. I don’t know if any wives ever accept this kind of hobby. Would an hobby of something like this will ever get into a way of a relationship ? I consider myself as one of these guys who dedicate their lives photographing storms.

The common responce for atheist of why they feel God doesnt exist is because hes not visible.
answer: hes not visiable because thats the test God gives us. We need to have faith, trust, hope, and belief God is up there. Reason why we cant see him is becasue if He were to be visible, the test would be so easy that it wouldnt be a test. Then everyone easily goes to heaven and God wouldnt know who is true believers are and God would wonder if he were invisible, who would have faith that hes up there and worship him? What i mean is, people usually do forbidden things aka sinful things when there isnt "someone" there to witness it. However, God is putting us to the test. Secondly, I cant see your brain, so does that mean you dont have one. I cant see people’s souls so how do i really know its there?etc.
Who created the skies, the clouds, the ocean..if you dont believe it was God the creator, then i ask you can you create dirt for me and skies, clouds, water. no..didnt think so
My final question is why are you people allowing scientists crap to brain wash. Something but evolution..To prove evolution is a poor theory, who created monkey. can a scientist creat monkies, can a scientist creat dirt. Just becasue they can clone, people forgot who create the scientist. your answer would be the scientist’s mother right.well who created the mom and so furth..It was God.
Last but not least, the reason why we have tornadoes, deaths and sickness occuring..YES God has the power to solve and be the casue of this however, the sick people who becomes sick and thank God gets a better life in the herafter. We need these destruction and damages going around the world becasuse its a reminder how powerful God’s powers our, lets us knows whos God. And with a perfect life, no one will thank God. There will be no deaths in the world. So no one will be afraid of what they do, there will be no consequences. Where do you perfer to have a miserable life, in this world that gives us 80 years tops or the after life in heaven eternally. See heaven is a priceless place. The richest person in the world cant pay for heaven. Its the good deeds that you do that’ll get you to heaven. It annoyes me when someone is going through so little, ex(breakups, getting fired, loosing money, car, house,) and blaming their problems all on God. They still play the blame game. Ive been around the poorest people, with absoultely no family members, no friends, no money, no phone, no house, no insurance, no nothing, and i asked her if she felt like she has bad luck or something. she said no but all i can do is thank God i have eyes to see, ears to hear, and im able to move, and also a healthy body. She is so grateful and thankful for God. We should stop looking at all the negative things occuring and thank and look at all the postive we have. We should always look at the class under us not on top of us. And a reminder to everyone, this is not HEAVEN. So why do you expect the world to be perfect. The only perfect place to live a REAL life is in heaven, so we have to do good in the world in order to fill our obligations. Please. Please, for the people who are unable to say something nice, please dont comment this. Im not forcing anyone to read this.
This is what i truely believe if you have any polite questions i will more than happy to answer them and please stay on topic. Thanks for your time.

I took my nephew to the park and we had a lovely time taking pictures. It was beautiful outside today. These pictures were taken at around 7:00 pm but just 12 hours earlier we were under a tornado warning and had some damage to our town, It was the complete opposite weather with clouds, rain, wind, and hail. Anyway I thought I would share that little bit of info. So what do you think of the portraits I would love any feedback. Thank You!

I took these with my brothers camera it was a canon and 7.2 mega pixels I can’t remember the exact module. My camera I normally use is a fujifilm finepix S2000HD so all of my other pics are taken with that one.

What is it about tornado alley that attracts tornados? Why doesn’t California get tornados? I have heard about dust devils and funnel clouds causing damage and water spouts, but the weatherman never calls them a tornado, no matter how much damage they cause or could cause.

Lately we have been having some very vicious thunderstorms. Within the last 10 days I have seen a mesocyclone and a tornado (not in the same day!). There is an amazing lightning show going on north of here, and my Panasonic mini DV won’t pick up the lightning in the clouds. Neither will the crappy camera on my cell phone. =(

i just went outside with my dad and he said 2 get my video camera. i got it and WHOA i got video of a tornado forming. then it disappeared. and came back. then 2 more came. and they are staying there, not that much wind. we saw 8 birds flying and they stared going backwards (weird..) and they vanished into the clouds. they were sucked up which is a sign that the tornado might be coming down.

just to be safe where would i go if it did come down? idon’tt have a basement OR a middle of the house. my house is very open sooo no closet or hallway in the middle. thx for helping!
P.S. -don’tt say ‘get off the computer’ or something cuz thereisn’tt much wind and i would b able 2 tell if the tornado was here, i just wanna know where i would go! (if it heps my house is made of bricks and our island with cabinets are made of brick)

Before a tornado strikes, the clouds turn a green color. The other month, there was a really bad storm at my house and it started to hail. I looked at the clouds and they were a sick green color. A few minutes later, a tornado hit.

So, why does the sky turn green before a tornado?

I am deathly affraid of tornadoes and whenever there is a thundertorm I get extremely stressed out and I always picture a tornado forming. I live in New England and it isn’t common to get hit by a tornado, but I still can’t feel any better because lately there has been a few tornadoes in New England. Is there any ways to calm down? How do I know if one is going to form? Does the sky do anything specific? How will the clouds move? How can I get over my fear? Is anyone else scared like me??? Thanks a bunch!

Severe weather hit our area yesterday bringing a lot of tornadoes. We were watching out our window and saw this horizontal cloud that was in a shape of a funnel that seemed to be spinning but it wasn’t in a column?

Then 10 minutes later, we were watching tv because the warning expired and it was suddenly a dead silence. The clouds stopped moving, no sounds of animals, no rain, wind, thunder, lightning, NOTHING. Apparently everyone in the area heard this and experienced it. Outside these small clouds suddenly shot up into the air into the larger ones.

Could these have been tornadoes?

This is Only a Hypothetical question, knowing its Not Realistic or logical, but would a Nuclear Exposion be able to stop a Tornado or a Hurricaine in its tracks?

Watching old film footage of a nuclear explosion and how the mushroom cloud pushes or dissapates the clouds around it, would a nuclear explosion close enough to a storm cloud/system effect it in any way?

Why is it that when a storm can possibly produce a tornado the sky and clouds turn green or green looking? what makes it do that?

if you can’t believe in Hell, then look at this (Sun). a small example of Hell:

and if you believe God will not torture people for their sins and disbelieve, then look at this:

make sure before you die. that you are worshiping God alone. Not Jesus, not mary, not three, not idols or images. but God alone. to God you belong and to God you are returning back.

Ur God is not that nice old man who is setting on the clouds. but He is something that is compelete. He created paradise/mercy/forgiviness and Hell/torture/pain.

OK, I don’t know if that’s what they are really called. But it’s training for people who monitor the weather and clouds, and report tornado sightings? I know there are people that just live and monitor within thier own community. Where could I find how to be trained for this?

Many years ago when I first connected to the internet I was playing around downloading weather satellite images. This feature in one of them caught my attention. I was so intrigued with it that I kept a copy of it.
It is the pattern of clouds to the north west of the Canary Islands, containing a very pronounced spiral. I am no meteorologist, but it doesn’t look like any weather pattern I have seen, it is too small and self contained to be a hurricane and I think too big for a tornado.
The image is dated October 1998.

Can anyone offer an explanation for this?

I would guess it could happen, but I don't recall seeing any footage of it. What I'm envisioning would look like a churning cyllinder laying on its side and distinct from the other clouds around it. Can these early tornado cells be seen with the naked eye, or does it take some kind of radar to detect them?

I think the clouds are real, but the photographers added light, shade, color , trickery, and otherwise are lying to everyone as to what these things really look like.
Everyone lies these days and can't be trusted.
