I’m thinking of going to L.A but i don’t want to lose my life and my belongings due to bad weather.
I never hear much about life threatening weather in California accept southern California.
My dogs have shelter outside but what if?
My dogs have shelter outside but what if a tornado comes?
is it better for me to lock them up in the shed with food and water too keep them out of the storm or would it be better to let them stay in their usual environment to where they could run away from the bad weather or tornado if they needed too? Someone suggested me leaving them as they as in their usual shelter Just incase they needed to run away they would be able to have some type of chance instead of being shut in somewhere and not being able to run away if they needed?
If this sounds bad to people I am sorry but it’s not like it sounds. My dogs are well cared for, they get fed more then twice a day ( too much actually ) they go to the vet and get their shots and etc I was just thinking because i’ve never been in this situation and we are suposed to have alot of tornadoes heading our way. So please help and NO rude commments i will report you
The dogs Can’t go to the shelter with us I posted this.
Are next door neighbor has a storm shelter we go too but the guy is allergic to dogs and they have 3 kids but i don’t think all the kids are allergic just one but we can’t take the dogs with us and there isnt anywhere else to go
Do you care about the environment?

What do you do to help take care of earth?
soo much bad weather is happening and it is starting to be scary like it was at the beginning of the last century. In the early part of the 20th century, there was also a tendency for more extreme events followed by a quiet couple of decades.
The Unites States experienced some of the most extreme weather events in it’s history this spring, including deadly outbreaks of tornadoes, near record flooding , drought and wildfires.
damages from these disaters have already passed 32 billion, and the hurricane season, which is just beginning is projected to be above average.
the frequency of bad weather has increased over the past two decades. Carbon dioxide is accumalting in the atmosphere.. As carbon dioxide builds up in the atmosphere and heats the planet, droughts will increase in frequency and intensity.
extremes of precipitation have increased as the planet warms and more water evaporates from the oceans.
when the greenhouse effect caused by burning fossil fuels is added to the natural variability of climate, weather disasters can be expected more frequently.
The Records are not just being broken, they are smashed. It is as clear warning as we are going to get about prospects for the future.
April was a devastating month for tornadoes and rainfall. 875 tornadoes and heavy rain and snowmelt contributated to the Mississippi River flooding, surpassing the historic floods of 1927 & 1937.
900 confirmed tornado reports this year. The 2nd highest annual total recorded in modern time.
This year is on track to be one of the deadliest. 2011 is in 6th place of Unites States history and deadliest since 1936.
What are your tips you’d like to share for taking care of earth?
Everyone in the world shares the same earth.
Why was a question I asked reported?
I asked a question, "When is a good time to go into the basement?" I was talking about bad weather and when it was a good time to go into the basement? Like what signs should I look for for a tornado. I said I don’t like listening to the weather people because I thought they caused more panic than good with their get into the basement now. Why was my question reported? Did I really violate any rules or did I just get someone mad they reported me?
How do I get my dog companion certified for PTSD?
I plan on going to see my mental health physician this week and talking about it. On April 27th my town was rocked by an F5 tornado. I have always had issues with bad weather but this made me go mildly insane (IMO). Now weird things trigger me to stress out (loud noises, trains). I noticed that my dog helps keep menfrom freaking out.
I know that companions are very different from service dogs and are more limited to access. I Aldo am aware that sometimes a physician’s rx for the animal is sufficient. Is there a list of places that allow companions bs service dogs?
I am under the impression that there are classes for these dogs. Where can I take him for classes? I am aware that there are scams about these classes as well.
I just want as much info as I can get before going to the doctor.
No response- don't know how to react…?
I’m currently in a LDR, and yesterday had a Tornado warning in my area. Mere moments after getting off the phone with my gf, I sent a text that said "OMG, there’s a f—ing tornado touching down right by us"…and got no response….for the rest of the night. 3 hours later (thankfully the tornado funnel dissipated and bad weather cleared), i sent another text saying "yeah, the tornado warning was real…thanks for your concern
", and still nothing. Today, all I got was a text that said "I just woke up". I’m 99.9% sure my text was received since it was sent less than 5 minutes of us getting off the phone, and even if it (for whatever reason) did not go through, my status on fb says "the tornado did not touch the ground, thank Jesus", so there was no question regarding the turn of events that took place. I just hope I’m over-thinking it, but IDK…was this a lack of regard for me and my children’s (did I mention I had kids from a previous relationship? well, i do, lol) safety? Help me out. Many thanks in advance for your feedback!
I am currently living in New Jersey and I have been looking to move out of this state for the past 3 years. We are planning on moving before the end of this year. I’m 21 years old with no college degree living with my single mom. The both of us work part-time but plan on looking for full-time jobs. I am potentially going to start college in the new state a couple of months after I move in. We want to get out of the extreme cold winters and move to a place with mild winters. We are trying to gather a persons opinion on which state you recommend for us to move to.

After all this bad weather,it got me thinking about last month and the weather I had.We had severe storms, the winds reached 85 mph in some areas and gusts were up to 100 MPH on a bridge. At around 7PM our weather issued a Tornado Warning for my town.my family didn’t do anything we just went about our business.Nothing ever came….I thought warnings means a Tornado was spotted…I mean our house did shake for about 5 minutes and there was a strange rumbling sound. But I didn’t see anything.
And something did hit my sister’s house. But other than that, there was nothing but hail, wind and ground lighting. Why would they Issue a warning. It should be a watch. We had a watch, then they upgraded a warning and nothing came.My brother was the only one sitting the hallway, We all told him, their bluffing(Not that this should be something we should say…I already know you should seek shelter when its a warning, but they always bluff down here)
Ugh and speaking of storms, Its starting to get nasty outside now.I hate storms at night.I can’t see a thing.
My brother was crying.
But my nephew and nieces were running around saying this is awesome, the house is shaking. And my mom continued cooking dinner, while my brother ran into the hallway with a blanket over his head.My mother was like "Your a nut case what the heck are you doing in the hall"

How severe are the tornadoes in Tennessee?
I am looking to move to Middle Tennessee (MTSU actually) in the next year. I am getting worried however about the tornadoes there. I’ve read that 74% of tornadoes are F-0 or F-1, but obviously some are still a lot worse. I am getting really nervous about it and was just wondering how severe they really are. I live in New York now so the only bad weather I know is snow. I also worry about being at school or work and my pets being home alone if one occurs.
Terrified of tornadoes, can I get a little help?
So, I have been nervous during bad weather ever since I was little. This tornado season in Minnesota though, seems to be out of control. Like everyday, there seems to be a tornado watch. So this season, I’ve been scared to death. During even cloudy weather, my heart beats fast. Tornado watches, I get a little shaky. Tornado warning, or looks really bad out, I’m petrified. How can I help this. I know all the safety precautions, I live in a stable house in the suburbs, and know the chances of my house being hit by a tornado. I am still scared to death. What can I do? I don’t want to go to a psychiatrist or anything like that, thanks!
What do you all think about how some of the people behaved during the hurricane Ike?
I seen many rude people cut in the street, when the street lights were out. Also, getting gas common courtesy people, have we become so barbaric that we cannot wait our turn? What is your thought on the matter? Buy water all the time, not only when you hear of a hurricane or any bad weather that may comes our way.
Has anyone seen light beings or angels?
Hi,
I am a former wedding photographer of 12 years. July 25, 08
I was attending a wedding rehearsal that I was hired to photograph as well as the wedding. I always arrive early to take photos of the church of every wedding I do. I was not on the clock yet, but I wanted to arrive extra early on this rehearsal because the weather forecast was calling for bad weather and maybe tornadoes, so I wanted to make sure I got the photos of the outside before it started to rain.
As I started to take my photos on this gloomy day, All of a sudden, the sky became really dark, and the clouds started to form right above the church. And I thought that I had better hurry because it was about to rain. Then the clouds slightly parted to allow this very illuminating light from the sky to show. Then the clouds started circling, counter clock-wise around this light. So I started snapping photos like crazy because I thought this was the start of a tornado. How great would it be to get a photo like this for the bride and groom over their church. I was excited because a tornado is something I never took pictures of……
Then, just as quickly as it started, was as quickly the clouds dissipated and it became just gloomy again. I thought how strange that was and just went on because the first person arrived for the rehearsal.
Later, I was looking back at all my photos to decide which to keep or delete to use for this wedding. And this is what I captured……
The first photo is this circle with an image on the ground of a little girl with blond cropped hair. Zoom in to see better.
The second photo is the circle that turned into this light being on the ground. The colors are spectacular.
I did not see these at the time of the photos. I was more focused on the sky. When I first saw the photos I had taken, I was going to delete these because I was in such shock and a little startled. Then I realized that these photos were something special.
Later, I showed my husband and he pointed out the figure of a lady which the clouds formed around the light in the sky also.
I have been a photographer for a long time and I have experience with lighting. These images are not sun spots, glare, reflection. I have never seen this before in my life. I have looked on all the ghost and spirit sites, and I find nothing like this..
I am not sure to even tell my experience or even show my photos. I have for the most part, shared these photos to close friends and family members only. My light being does not scare me or those I have shown. It gives good feelings.
I feel it may be time to share these photos with other people. Maybe these photos will comfort someone who has seen or had experiences with light beings, so they know that they are real. There is something after death. Energy does not end.
I know some people are going to try and say I fixed these photos and there are going to be people who will not believe this and I’m ok with that now. I assure, these are true photos that are not tampered with or fixed. I still have the original chip negative it was taken with.
When I first showed family and friends, some would ask me if I fixed these, and those comments would upset me. Now, I do not care what anyone thinks. I know these are true photos.
Then I am asked what I think it is, an angel, Jesus, Virgin Mary, a spirit.
My answer is, I don’t know. I am no one special, but was chosen, for what ever reason to take the photos, that’s it.
I am not sure what to make of it. You tell me. If you want to see the photo, let me know.
Thank you,
I will try to photobucket and post a link. Check Back

Bad weather advice?
We had a tornado warning last night and realized how unprepared we actually were. The power was out for like 3 hours and we had no working radio except for an mp3 player that only had an FM tuner, So it took a little while to hear a weather report. So my boyfriend says were going to get a weather radio or something, that will sound an alarm for bad weather. Any suggestions or advice for buying one of those would be great, like what to look for and stuff. We have a storm cellar but we haven’t been down there yet, its completely empty at the moment, any suggestions on what we should put in there? We have an old table we were thinking of putting down there and maybe some folding chairs or something and some bottles of water. I’m not really claustrophobic or anything but i think the idea of going down there scares me more than the tornado warnings. I dunno, this is kinda a little vent but any stormy weather advice would be greatly appreciated! ~Thanks
Im in oklahoma too! thanks for the answers so far! I was also wondering if it would get to hot down there to leave batterys and canned food and stuff down there? or will they be ok?
I may have proof of Light Beings or Angels?

I am not saying that everyone believes in angels and spirits. But for those of you who do, here is proof.
And for thoses of you who do not believe, how do you think a angel or spirit would appear?
Jesus became an angel / spirit……
There is more out in this world then what we can just see…..
You can’t see air…. but it’s there….. You can’t see love….. but it’s there…..
Think about it
Do you want to see REAL pictures of a ghost, angel, light being, spirit? Which is it?

How many of you are getting tornado warnings, or flood warnings, or anything other of that?
Well I’m in Belleville Michigan (Wayne county), and we’re getting flood and tornado warnings. Well all of my family is since we all live in Milan, Plymouth, and cities around that. I was just wondering if you were getting storms, warnings or anything like that, wherever you are. I understand if I don’t get a lot of answers because most people are taking cover. Please no rude comments, I’m just curious and wondering if that is happening to states around Michigan. And if you are getting any bad weather, I hope you get through it safely, as well as your friends and family.
Isn’t more advanced technology making bad weather easier to report?
"Even 50 years ago we didn’t hear about tornados unless they carried away a house with a girl and a dog and deposited them in Munchkinland… They didn’t call CNN or post the video of the twiser on YouTube, because they couldn’t."
-Charles Memminger
I see a lot of religious zealots posting things about the increase in natural disasters. They fail to state the fact that the statistic isn’t "increase in natural disasters" but "increase in REPORTS of natural disasters."
So please, remember that advancements in technology help us monitor and report weather and natural disasters quicker and more efficiently than several years ago. The only reason you hear a lot about these things now is because the media found out that scaring the bejeezus out of us makes money for them. >_<
I dream about tornadoes all the time?
We’ve all had weird dreams from time to time but for the last decade or so Ive had reoccurring dreams about a tornado. I will be dreaming about something not even relating to bad weather and everything is good and the all of a sudden I look out a window and I can actually see the funnel cloud forming far enough away from all of us. I always get really scared and I panic to get everyone with me to safety. I start scrambling to find everyone to get them out of the house and it keeps coming closer and closer. The dream usually ends with the tornado either passing over us or completely disappearing. And no one ever gets hurt. Any answers will be appreciated!
Some questions re: life in rural Arizona?
I’m looking at moving to rural Arizona to work/live on a cattle ranch. This would be about two hours NW of Phoenix. If you live there, or have lived there (anywhere in the vicinity), can you give me some idea of what it’s like? What kind of animals/insects should I be aware of that could be potentially dangerous? How much bad weather can I expect (ie: tornadoes)?
Thanks, and anything else you can offer for info is appreciated.
Thanks (((LHH))). I posted this in another section, too. I thought I’d try to get some firsthand knowledge, although I’ve been looking at sites to get info, too.
I want to get out of "Tornado Alley"?
I get anxiety attacks whenever I see a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning, Im 17 years old and live in Oklahoma City so I was thinking about moving to Las Vegas and attending school there because they dont have any bad weather, Is it foolish to move because you dont like the weather where you live?
Some questions re: life in rural Arizona?
I’m looking at moving to rural Arizona to work/live on a cattle ranch. This would be about two hours NW of Phoenix. If you live there, or have lived there (anywhere in the vicinity), can you give me some idea of what it’s like? What kind of animals/insects should I be aware of that could be potentially dangerous? How much bad weather can I expect (ie: tornadoes)?
Thanks, and anything else you can offer for info is appreciated.

Yeah, I look forward to being close to the GC. I’ve been there, but more is always good. Powerball? LOL, I guess I can still play it occasionally. Thanks again.
Anyone been to Florida USA before? (please help me plan my potential road trip)?
A friend of mine has invited me to holiday he won to Florida. The key info is this:
1) We have 7 days.
2) When should we go? were restricted to anytime between Aug – Oct 2009 ( a bit worried about extreme bad weather and although its pretty much a free holiday, dont really relish the prospect of sheltering for most it if its likley were going to be dodging hurricanes/tornados)
3) Where to go? – its a flydrive holiday – we need some ideas of a possible route/itineray.
4) Where to party? – Being single, 20 something guys we want to have a wild time
5) How much should we budget?
Hope someone out there can help!!
Thanks
We live in southern Louisiana, but want to move somewhere else. Sick of the hurricanes, too many mosquitoes, not much of a winter, and too much humidity/heat. We have 6 outdoor cats that I’m hoping my parents will decide to take with us, but it’s not looking good for some of them cause they’re so comfortable roaming around here, I hardly ever see them except for when they come home to eat.
We also have a few small pets that aren’t a concern but our 5 giant dogs are. We’ve been living on 5 acres out in the country for the whole 19 years of my life, so the same amount of land, or more, is highly preferred. The dogs are used to 2 fenced in acres so I’d never settle for anything less than 3. Weather is a high priority, that’s one of the main reasons for leaving. My father has a very bad phobia over bad weather, and it’s getting much worse each year. So somewhere with alot of storms/tornadoes is definitly out. I know, looking for paradise right? I mean somewhere like Kansas would be out cause isn’t it tornado-alley? And with the present state of the economy, I have no clue where would be ok to move to. My mother needs to move somewhere that’s easy to actually find a good job, right now she works as a teller in Regions bank and would like to stay in the banking business.
I have no clue where to even begin trying to find out about any of this stuff, we don’t have the money to just drive around looking all over the country! How do you find out about the economy, weather, jobs, ect. How do people know where to move to?!
Anyway, any links, info, suggestions, advice is greatly appreciated.
How do you think Montana would be? I don’t know anything about it, but it’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to go.
