relocating to fort atkinson, wi area?

Tornado Questions
Im needing any info I can get for the area. Ive looked at online papers and rent is a bit high in F. Atkinson, but what about smallish towns around?
What about weather, tornadoes?, are the roads hard to deal with in the winter?
We have a 5 yr old that will be starting 1st grade next year when we move there, so what about the schools?
Im an LPN so a job shouldnt be that hard for me to come by. My hubby is going through police academy down here in Jan also.

Not many tornados in that area. There is a slight risk of severe storms once every 2 months. There are a few nice schools south of the city. The roads are nicely plowed in the winter.
