I need help interpreting a dream about tornadoes.?
I don’t remember much of the dream, all I remember is that my best friend and i were on one of the metro lines, i don’t know which line since it didn’t look to be in california. I was looking out the window and I saw 3-4 tornadoes coming straight at us. I turned to grab my friends hand out of fear. I remember as soon as I grabbed his hand though I felt okay, even though these huge tornadoes were still coming toward us at high sppeds, he made me feel like it was all going to be okay.
I’ve looked up tornadoes, and many sources say they symbolize a destructive relationship or anger and rage or friends that can have a violent outburst or mood swings. But what I want to know is, what does my feeling of ease with my best friend mean in all of this chaos?

Well, tornadoes in dreams actually are symbols of generalized risk. So your dream was just about there being risks of emotional, economic or physical types out there in the world and your subconscious is worried about that, but finds your friend a comfort – feels that he is watching out for your interests, which not all friends will. And maybe he is even closer than that to you – but he is definately a good friend in your subconscious’ view.

Tornadoes may symbolize rage or anger to some people, but that’s not what it means to me. I grew up in the Midwest and spent a lot of afternoons playing in the basement when we had tornado warnings. Tornadoes are big, scary storms that you can’t control. I’ve had recurring tornado dreams for years and they aren’t dreams of rage. They occur at busy times in my life when I’m stressed and anxious about getting everything done (like at Christmas time) and feel like I’m not in control of things. So I think you need to look at what’s going on in your life when you have these dreams in order to figure out what they mean to you.
