How to prepare for a tornado?
I know i shouldn’t say this but i live in California(i know u probably won’t be able to find me or what city i’m in ’cause u don’t know my last name or anything so i’m not trying to be stupid by saying this, it’s just that CA’s weather is kinda well known i guess lol) and in almost all the city’s right really close to mine are all getting tornado warnings and i find this really weird since i’ve never heard of any tornados where i live and i can’t imagine it, just earthquakes. i don’t know if the town/city where i live will get a warning, but all the places that are getting warnings are really close to where i live and i was wondering how to prepare. do i like board the windows of my house with plywood? i don’t have a basement, and i was also wondering where’s the safest place to be. i have a small house, but we have a fireplace, and i’m wondering if that’s a safe place lol. or is the doorframe the safe place, like in an earthquake? anyway, please don’t be a stalker and try to find out where i live because u won’t be able to and that would be creepy…so yeah tell me what u think. : ]

Hello, there person. I live in California and I get really scared! I hope you can pray to God. I love Jesus. Um.. I also love Green Day. I have a friend named Gloria who is OBSESSED with Green Day. Anyways, you should just stay away from things that might fall down. *ilyjesus*

There is no use boarding up windows, or opening them, as you likely will not have the time in case a warning is issued. If one does get issued for your area, the best place to go is in an interior room, bathroom or closet on the lowest floor, away from windows. A tornados most dangerous characteristic is the flying debris around it so you want to protect yourself from this the best you can.
Chances are very good that you will not be hit, but be prepared just in case.

TAKE WATER AND NON PERISHABLE FOODS TO THE BASEMENT WITH YOU OR TO A BATHROOM OR ROOM WITH NO WINDOWS.TAKE ANY ENTERTAINMENT THAT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE PLUGGED IN.DO NOT TAKE A SHOWER OR USE THE HOUSE PHONE.USE YOUR CELL PHONE IF YOU MUST.BOARD UP THE FIREPLACE.NOT THE DOOR.TAKE BLANKETS AND PILLOWS.IT IS BETTER TO HAVE LOTS OF WATER AND BRING VALUABLE THINGS TO YOUR ROOM WHERE YOU ARE STAYING.STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS AND DOORS.

Tornadoes can occur anywhere in the world. The central U.S s the area with the most though. But, every state in the U.S has had at least one tornado, including California. And it will happen again in the future, like now. Boarding up the windows in a tornado won’t be worth it. If it is a considerably strong tornadoes, debris can move at speeds over 100 mph. The tornado winds themselves can reach to over 200 mph! If you don’t have a basement, a bathroom is the next safest place. A closet is the 3rd best choice. Hide in the bathtub, and pull a mattress over you so you don’t get hit by debris. I hope you stay safe!
