I had the same issue. What I have to say about the home alone part, try staying occupied and make sure you know all the safety steps, don’t be afraid of your basement, think of it as a cool hide out. And talk to your parents about it and I bet they’ll make sure they won’t go out when there is a storm watch just for you(:
For your fears of storms VVVV
Finally, when I was at a beachhouse and the worse possible weather (there was a tornado) was happening, I went outside because my brother was out there and I was going to yell at him to get in the house. I was like "What the hell are you doing out here" and he was pointing at something, when I looked down there was a little ladybug in the sand. My brother, "If this ladybug can stay through this storm, so can I." I thought it was crazy at first but then when I started thinking about it, it kind of made sense. At that time the wind and rain came all at once and it was lightening and everything! My brother and I dunked and held on to a pole but still went through it. I think it worked because it was the worst possible weather and now whenever there are thunderstorms, I think it’s no big deal, so maybe do something a little similar with a friend. Now whenever it rains I think of that little ladybug(:

Think of it this way, Do you remeber your great granma, or somebody who is deceased in your family, anybody, Think of this THEY ARE HAVING A PARTY, IN HEAVEN, THEY ARE ROLLING THE BEER BARRELS AROUND, LOL, THATS WHAT MY MA ALWAYS TOLD ME, AND THEY ARE CELEBRATING, DID YOU ACHEIVE SOMETHING IN THE LAST FEW DAYS, WELL, THEY ARE ALL CELEBRATING YOUR ACOMPLISHMENTSLOL, AND THE LIGHTING IS THE ANGELS LIGHTS, IF YOU HAVE NO WINDOWS IN YOUR BATHROOMS, GO TO THE BATHROOMS, HOVER DOWN, TILL THE STORM IS OVER

I used to have the same problem. Here’s what worked for me:
Envision yourself as your favorite bird. You are in a tree, and it is peaceful. Suddenly, a storm comes. You are afraid. The winds shake your nest, so you jump stupidly. You are falling and the winds are tossing you around. You keep falling. Then, you gain the courage to flap your wings. You keep flapping through the storm. You rise up above the tornado. You ride the storm. You control and make it go away! Yay!
Try this. I hope it works for you!
