God's judgement?
I’ve seen a lot of people say that this disaster or that is the result of our sins. Katrina happened because of sin, etc. So I’m trying to sort this out:
When the tornado hit the Boy Scout Camp, was it God’s wrath that they don’t allow homosexuals?
Is the flooding in the heartand because God doesn’t approve of their Republican voting record?
Why hasn’t God wiped out California and New York? I mean, He got Soddom, Gammorah, and New Orleans. And what about those cities in Asia where "sex tourism" is big – people go there to exploit children. Why doesn’t God wipe out THOSE places?
It just seems like God’s priorities are a bit whack. Can you explain this?
Wow… Krypton, that is seriously convoluted. So, God punishes homosexual acts by sending a tornado to get an organization that bans homosexuals?
And he sends an earthquake to get a bunch of Chinese villagers to punish Thialand?

You just can’t make sense out of nonsense.

I’m pretty sure if God’s almight power did exist they wouldn’t be able to predict it on a dopplar.

we’re all equal beings , if God wants to kill somebody than he wants to kill you too . you’re not better than them .
about the homosexual thing . what if you’re children turned out to be homosexuals ? will you wish them dead ?
people are free to enjoy there life however they want as long as they harm none .
I don’t see how homosexuals will affect YOUR life .you just have to learn to accept it even if you disagree with them .it’s called life .
Edit : God did not destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuals but because they were rapist , murders etc….
This is why I disagree with the buy-bull ?

Yes, I can explain.
Katrina happened because of our sins, yes. It had also made millions of people to turn to God (including me).
The Boy Scout Camp was believed as God’s punishment for homosexual acts. But I doubt God can do that to people who don’t hold their fate in their hands.
God will soon wipe out California and New York. The forest fire in California is an evidence.
And what made you think that God didn’t punish some cities in Asia? Have you heard about the earthquake in China which killed thousands of people?
Now tell me – if these are just natural occurrences, why didn’t it happen in Spain or Rome – places where all the religious go?
EDIT:
As you see, I edited my answer and typed my opinion on the subject.
And God wanted to punish the Chinese as well for not believing in him, not only the Thai’s.

Maybe god is scared that he might get influence into taking part in some of these activities.
By the way it seems god has forgotten about Robert Mugabe – or maybe they’re pals??

The bible says the wages of sin is death . Its kinda like money the more you have the more you spend. The results of our nations sin effects the innocent sometimes because the sin is so great.

It ‘s one of the great mysteries of life isn’t it ?
Why God would allow the openly homosexual Greek Civilization to become the basis for Western Civilization and of course our American democracy
Given the distance between Athens and Jerusalem God could have easily taken one of his photon -torpedo’s and removed the Greeks from the face of the earth.
The fact that he didn’t is very instructive and what it tells us is that even if there is a god the rules of that god only apply to the people who believe in that god and nobody else.

The idea that bad things happen to people because of God’s disapproval of them is incredibly stupid. I suppose God wants us to sacrifice a virgin so that we won’t have floods and bad weather. If we sacrificed a virgin and it didn’t help maybe we should try two of them next time.
This is not to say that poor choices don’t have consequences. I mean if you smoke chances are you will die of cancer or have a heart attack. If you smoke in bed you may die a lot sooner than that. If you drink excessively you get cirrhosis and die. If you drive around late at night some drunk is eventually going to hit you. If you farm in a flood plain sooner or later it’s going to flood. Casinos make money for a good reason because gamblers regularly lose their ass. If you are dumb as dirt chances are you won’t be getting a job as a business executive or going to medical school.
As for those scouts who got crushed by masonry in that tornado in Iowa, I am sure if you suggested that they were bad kids and that God was punishing the Boy Scouts through them, the parents probably would probably like to deck you. And they would be right to do so.
