When you look at the GDP, there is more than enough to go around to at least keep people out of the elements, its a shame that we encourage people to get filthy rich and choose to ignore those who fall through the cracks on no fault of their own. I think we should have more and better homeless shelters, and work to boost the economy and eliminate poverty as much as we possibly can. Poverty is something that shouldn't even happen in third world countries, the fact that it happens in places like America is sad indeed. Edit @ MMFCL Your an idiot. Only 6% of homeless people want to be that way, and while some are homeless because of their stupidity and laziness, there are many who are homeless simply because of how hard it is to break through in our system. Nobody should freeze to death because they can't find shelter - we have a collective responsibility to end this travesty.
