Does America need foreign aid for the homeless?
I watch the Al-Jazeera news about the number of homeless people that’s growing in numbers in the United States due to high rates of joblessness. The foreclosures of housing and realastates is sky rocketing at this period that forces the locals to leave their houses. To tell you the truth,i’m shocked to see and hear what had happened in United States today. The tent cities in every states is growing like a refugee camp which reminds me of the Katrina hurricane victims but this time it’s a very different kind of Katrina that is hitting the whole nation. It also reminds me of the homeless people that lives in camps such as in Iraq.I guess it’s pretty hard to live in America nowdays cuz if you lose your job,you lose your house.
I don’t know what kind of help my country can give to those poor people.Perhaps free tents and a little bit of food supplies might ease the pain for these poor homeless people since we saw very little that the
American government can do to help them.I mean, think of the kids.they need to go to school.and how about the sick, the pregnant and the old people? Will the government help them if needed?I hope the cops won’t cut of their tents and kick them out to easy. They are human beings like us to.
"Land of the brave, home of the free".These words needs a whole new definition.

The governments of the world are the only one poweful enough to get together and make a solution to fix this problem. When you look at the GDP, there is more than enough to go around to at least keep people out of the elements, its a shame that we encourage people to get filthy rich and choose to ignore those who fall through the cracks on no fault of their own.
I think we should have more and better homeless shelters, and work to boost the economy and eliminate poverty as much as we possibly can. Poverty is something that shouldn’t even happen in third world countries, the fact that it happens in places like America is sad indeed.
Edit @ MMFCL
Your an idiot. Only 6% of homeless people want to be that way, and while some are homeless because of their stupidity and laziness, there are many who are homeless simply because of how hard it is to break through in our system. Nobody should freeze to death because they can’t find shelter – we have a collective responsibility to end this travesty.

Homeless should be taken care by the private citizens and not the government

It is interesting that the rest of the world knows more about our homeless than Americans do!
The reality is that almost 1/2 of the homeless work a full-time job. Say’s a ton about their employers doesn’t it!

I wonder if they’ve been playing with the facts. Interesting to see what biased news media reports halfway around the world.
Every nation has homeless people. Ours are small in comparison. Look at Africa. What a mess!

Hey buddy, I’m going to try to be nice about this…
I’m proud of my country, and I’m not going to apologize for the way we run it.
By the way, Malaysia is a poverty bastion compared to the United States.

the americans that are homeless now are homeless of their own fault. they were living beyond their means and spending more than they earned. i dont blame anyone for not wanting to help them. there are still jobs, even if its at mcdonald’s. apartment complexes are willing to work with people now because they need the business they can get. if you ask me, the homeless need to help themselves
You asked so... on February 20, 2010 at 4:37 pm
Al-Jazeera = propaganda, propaganda, propaganda. Of course they will show something negative and make it appear that everyone is homeless. Do we have homeless people? Yes, but I’m sure Al-Jazeera make us look like a third world country. Don’t believe everything Al-Jazeera reports. Get information from other sources before you come to any conclusions.

do not need aide from any other country. need to stop giving all the aide we give other countries and spend it at home. and Al- Jazeera is a puppet of Islam and cannot be trusted in their View of U.S.

You posted this yesterday. If you’re so upset about it, send money now. Anything that takes money away from the terrorists in your country is money well spent.

What made America great was Freedom. A man of no position from Birth could work hard, take risks, and become what ever he desired. In other countries this is not possible. My family comes from Chile. In Chile the nation is controlled by 2% of the population. The 2 % control the corporations and the government. Entrepreneurship is tolerated until it becomes a threat to the current norms. Then restrictions on capital, punitive taxes, and lack of access to markets keep small businesses very small. Chile embraced Socialism and the control of the 2 % is solid because of it.
America began to embrace Socialism under Woodrow Wilson and it progressed during the 1900’s to the point where we have brought our currency and the economic well being of this nation to the brink of collapse. 2009 – 2010 will see the fateful event. The cause of this rest solely on the leftist policies of the Democratic Party from Franklin Roosevelt to this present day. Uncontrolled Spending by congress, unrestrained borrowing from foreign nations, and cheap money policy through inflationary interest rates led us to where we are today.
You will see it become much worse in our nation and yours. America is the Great Whore Babylon of Revelation 17, 18. The entire world is profiting from our unrestrained spending. When we collapse you will follow. China and the world has over expanded its’ production capabilities to service our unrestrained consumption. You will find your country sitting on empty factories once our fall is complete. Unemployment world wide will be 30-40%.
The only hope for the world is to dump the Dollar as the world reserve currency and issue a new one.
This in itself will spell our country’s demise. I believe that is what the meeting on 11/15/2008 was about.
The last concern we will have will be the homeless.
Franklin Roosevelt knowingly allowed this country to be attacked by Japan so that we could be pulled into WWII. He did this because his "new deal" actually pushed the USA into a deeper depression and only the production from WWII could bring us out of it. Guess what is going to happen again? After 2 to 5 years of depression and socialistic failure, we will seek a real target to have a war with so that the production from it will bring us out of the depression.
