<<We don't have a site called "Gravity",or "Relativity",where any idiot can post their 'beliefs'>>

very true.
however, there are no large corporations whose profits are totally dependent on the change, or lack thereof, that the government may impose on factors that affect gravity or relativity.

No I think that "Global Warming" is an adequate name. People who get confused by the name just need to learn that “Global Warming” is a global phenomenon. What’s happening outside one person’s kitchen window or what’s occurring in the lower 48 contiguous Untied States is interesting, but they just need to keep an eye on the big picture: the globe.

“Global Warming” also refers to the average global temperature anomaly, which has increased by about 0.6*C over the past 40 or so years.

Note to Dr. Jello on definitions: “Natural Law” is a philosophical term used in describing human nature.

A scientific law attempts to describe an observation in nature (objects dropped on Earth accelerate at a rate of 9.8m/sec.) while a scientific theory attempts to explain it (this acceleration is the result of an attraction between objects that have mass).

Note to mat_ll: It was Republican strategists who first marketed the term “climate change.[1][2]” They thought that “climate change” sounded less threatening than “global warming”. A more accurate term would be “global climate instability”; but, if people understood the fact that climate instability is a consequence of increasing average global temperatures, then there would be no reason why we should change the name.

It's only called global warming in the US site. Go the Yahoo Australia and it's called climate change.

Instability? I'm glad we aren't going through the dust bowl days again. That would bring the zealots out of the woodwork.

Gravity is a natural law. It's objective science. Global warming is a guess, and subjective science. Big difference.

Global warming will be as unforgotten about as the "killer bees" in a few years. Nothing has to be done. Man isn't killing the planet.

whatever you think about the science you have to admire the marketing of calling it climate change and not global warming!

This way any weather event, or even a cooling event can be linked to man regardless of any facts!
