Those rigs and refineries hadn’t even been hit yet and gas prices shot up. My mom said some people were buying /gal gas before the hurricane hit because they were afraid it would go up even higher. One refinery near Houston was shut down. Decrease supply increase demand, therefore increasing price? I think that they just use any excuse to increase the prices. I was reading some article and it said that in some parts of the U.S. it’s nearing to /gal. What do you think?
