Christians: Is the End really that near?
I noticed on the News today it said that the Euphrates River was 90% dried up and archealogical sites previously undiscovered before have been discovered there from the receding waters.
I know a prophecy said that the Euphrates River will dry up to make way for a big War, and I found this astounding? That would mean the Antichrist is already making his moves and that the 1 world government is going to happen soon…. I know its not the end yet, but God is showing us that its looming… but how near is it?
I know its going to happen soon bc the Last generation started when Israel became a nation… in 1948, 61 years ago and the generation is almost over… other happened prophecies include:
1. Jews returning to Israel (now run by Jews)
2. The Hebrew Language being revived
3. Increased Travel and Knowledge (Human Knowledge currently doubles every 5 years, we can now fly and travel faster than sound)
4. The Red Heifer being born in Israel, to allow ritual (1st red heifer, rare cow, to be born in Israel in 2000 years was in 1997 another in 2002… freakishly both declared to partake in the ritual!)
5. Increased natural disasters and wars (The 20th century reinvented what "War" meant, and Earth is currently unbalanced, 2004 recorded an earthquake breaking a record for longest shaking killing 300,000, 2005 set the record for hurricane frequency and intensity, the list goes on…)
6. Worldwide communication
7. Increased drugs, wickedness, sexual immorality, gayness, children without natural affection, people lovers of themselves and money
8. The 3rd Temple on the Jerusalem mount rebuilt (supplies have already been bought, now just permission is needed, this is where the ritual with the Red Heifer takes place)
Tell me how quick you think things are going to happen? Where do you think we will be on the prophecy line in… 5 to 10 years?
Well if you ask me I think that 2012 has some significance… I DO NOT believe the world will end on Dec 21, 2012 at 11:11 thats blasphemy, but since its still in the End Times generation, it definately has some substance to it… hopefully the beginning of the Great Tribulation

You can read the Bible and read the paper (or watch the news) and SEE that it truly is near!!! Prophecy is unfolding before our eyes. Sad thing is that those who still have blinders on (refusing to turn to Christ), really do not see how near it is…..

the end isn’t near. people see what they want to see. don’t believe in all this doomsday bullshit. its not going to happen.
and ESPECIALLY don’t base your theories on a 2000 year old text retranslated many many times with stories passed on like a broken telephone. where do people come up with this bullshit based on bible stories stating nothing of anything they talk about, o thats right because people see what they want to see and fill in the missing (read: bullsh!t) information with what they see around them. another 2000 years from now people will still be going on with this "the end is nigh!" stupidity. grow up.
EDIT: the number of people on this page saying "yeah its comin soon i believe" truely scares me. it scares me that their are still people who are THIS stuck with the flock. these kind of people are just sheep. following whatever anyone says without a single thought of their own. the end of the world is not coming, people claim all the time that this year or that year is the end of the world, but guess what, it never comes. grow up and get on with your lives

God this is sad, i fear for the future of the world with people who follow a book this literally. if the end does come, and god asks you how you lived your life, and what you did witht he time he gave you, do you think he will appreciate the answer "i waited in fear for the apocalypse." seriously, grow up.

I would not try to guess a time line. Sounds like very soon though doesn’t it? Keep our eyes on the prize. In a way it’s exciting to live through this time, in a way I wish I had lived 100 years ago. It’s so upsetting to think of the ones left behind.

Nobody has the answer to this question.Believes on this differ depending what religion you belong to,whether you believe in a god and if you even believe in "the end". The advice I can offer is do not worry about what you cannot change. Do not worry about what may or may not happen. Just live your life right and be happy.

We just got to "Laodecia", it will be a while, it will take a few years for Obama to dazzle the "leaders" of Europe, so get right with God, don’t take your eyes off Him, and it just won’t matter what goes on then

The Bible says we should not try to set dates, that the angels
in Heaven do not know the time of Christ’ return, but I believe it is
very near. The Bible says He will come at a time when people think
not, and that He will come as a thief in the night. Both indicating
it will be a surprise. The unbelieving world is so busy and caught up
thinking about pleasure and wealth and worldly gain, they will be
truly surprised, just like if a thief comes into their home in the night,
they don’t expect it, until it’s too late.

I say there is no such thing as the world ending. People freaked out at 1999 and below saying 2000 was the end of the world. What year is it? 2009. Its past that. Are we still living? yes. People say that President Obama is the Anti-Christ. Sure i don’t like him but, come on, seriously? The world will end when we are long and dead. Probably your great great great great great great grand children will see the world ending.

Yes. All of those signs show that the end is near. Jesus said to watch for His coming. Nobody knows when he will return, but you can know by the signs of the times that His return is getting nearer.
But please avoid giving dates, or even date ranges. Just know that He will come at a time that you least expect it, and watch what is going on in the middle east. I believe the most likely prophecy to be fulfilled soon is Ezekiel 38 where all these Islamic countries backed by Russia will invade Isreal and be defeated by God. This happened to a lesser extent in ’48, ’67 and ’73, but may happen again on a much greater scale.

For the record, and you don’t have to be "Christian" for this one, because it will happen to everyone on the entire planet, whether they believe in a god , or not,
the end of our world, as we knew it, IS coming.
And it is coming very soon.
If you live on any of the coastal borders , build a boat, because , " just as in the days of Noah…."

i come from mexico and mexico is a very religious country (aside all of the mess happening right know) and i have hear since i remember the end is near i have lived in fear and done nothing in my life because i did assume why doing anything if the end is near, i’m 36 years old and the end does not get here as soon as i want to, so i decided i should start with my life because really nobody know when our lives are going to end,
and you can find signs anywhere but then you are attempting with the judgment of jesus or god because it says that nobody know the time or the day

David all these things you have said is true.
As for as the end Jesus said in Matt.24:14 "When His gospel is preached in all the world then the end will come."
Due to Satellite TV and the Internet His gospel is now all over the world
even China is allowing Christian ministers in to preach.
If you read in Ezekiel 38 & 39 about the war of Gog and Magog
this prophecy of a war to come is so close.
This is Russia and other nations going to war against Israel.
Russia had never before in history been friends with Iran, now they are and helping Iran to produce nuclear weapons.
I believe in the rapture and I personally feel it could happen any day now, we are the generation for Christ return.
Now, the world will still be here but this is when the Anti-Christ will make his appearance and cause all hell to break lose, then Jesus returns with all the saints (believers) and does away with him.
As for the third temple this will happen when the Anti-Christ deceives the Jews and lets them build this temple then he will set himself in it and declare himself to be God.
See, the Muslims will never allow the Jews to build this Temple now, so it can only take place when the Anti-Christ for his short time rules the world.

Have you actually read Revelations? The word ‘Antichrist’ isn’t in it even once. The whole idea of an ‘Antichrist’ is not Christian. Read a little more, and be sure to separate what you read from what others may tell you!

ill ask our pastor about the dried river
and he also said that jesus will come back soon before the world
will end… ,judgement will come, he’s going to save the good people living and the dead, to heaven…
but he always tell "are you good enough to be in heaven?"
