Last night I had a dream that I was at work/my high school (two different places in real life but in the dream they were in a way one-in-the-same) and all of a sudden there were like 7 or 8 tornadoes about to hit. So instead of hiding inside we all went outside and hide behind some concrete pillars and dirt mounds, so the wind wouldn’t push us away. (like on a video game you have to hide behind something so you don’t get hit by the heavy winds or fire or whatever) the tornadoes went away, 5 minutes later they came back. We did the same thing. Still out of all 14-16 huge F-5 tornadoes not one person hurt or a building destroyed, then the tornadoes disappeared for the second time, then me and my friend since high school got hungry so she and I went to Mcdonalds and on our way back saw one more tornado, looking as if every other tornado we just went through blended together into this huge tornado, coming towards the building we have all been in (my job/high school). We hurried up back and hid behind concrete pillars once more, I heard her scream something like "Hold on" but I wasn’t sure what she said, and right as the tornado hit the building (still not destroying anything) I woke up.
I feel as if this may have been a forewarning because this afternoon I found out that my aunt and uncles farm was supposedly hit by a small tornado messing up their barn and pecan trees. I am in tune with different things as in feelings (i’m empathic and able to see peoples auras), danger pangs (I get in my stomach when something bad is about to happen be it car wreck, death, ect.) and spirits have communicated with me (skeptics I know what I believe so don’t try to tell me otherwise)

But just so you know, I’m an Atheist. But IF there really is a God, then the most part I don’t understand about religion is why would a loving, all-merciful, forgiving God would allow people suffer to death like, physical abuse and mental abuse, murder, rape, a person who dies from cancer and when and their loved ones would pray sincerely, over and over, and yet they die. And why did he create mentally challenged people that will never have the ability no learn anything, that’s dreadfully sad. And why did he allow tornadoes to wreck destroy alot of houses? Why did he create schizophrenia and all these horrible diseases which most people die from without any help of God’s curing, but rather they end up dying and it calls all their loved ones. Why did he allow a bunch of children starve to death in Africa? And why won’t God answer most people’s prayers when they desperately need them? And most of all, why did God create Hell which is the most horrible place anybody could possibly image if he truly loves you more than anyone on the planet can?

WHY WHY WHY I just don’t understand!!

I used to ADORE storms. I used to stare at them in awe when I was a kid. They were like lullaby’s to me. Then I ended up watching tornado videos on YouTube and then a severe storm came around and I literally freaked out. My palms started to sweat, my arms and legs were shaking, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t do ANYTHING without thinking about the terrible storm outside. It wasn’t really bad, but it had some pretty epic lightning that was constantly flashing like strobe lights. It was also pretty windy, with hailstones about the size of beads. Anyways, then maybe three weeks later, another storm came around, and I ended up crying for a little because I was so scared. I know that it’s not a serious medical condition or crap like that, because it’s wearing down a bit. Any suggestions on how to forget about the storms and enjoy them? Thanks

I hate to ask, but I have just been studying some youtube videos of the ocean crashing thru the streets, homes etc, and there is debris of all kinds, but I havent seen one single human being carried away along with it. Same with the Tornados in Joplin, so much footage, but no people. Are they only allowed to release footage without humans? Or do they edit out the humans?

…..dont get me wrong, so many people died and I dont want to see anyone getting hurt or killed, but I would just like to have an answer because people are always questioning it.

My girlfriends parents kinda frown upon my living standards. I just kinda blow it off, It’s just amazing how many ignorant people are out there. I can’t hardly stand to speak to these stuck up a**holes anymore.

It’s not like my place is a dump, It’s on 2 acres in the mountains, a nice clean 16 x 80, I own the land and a 2 car garage. It has 6 inch walls a singled roof and looks great, I don’t see the problem here.
They are always telling me I need to think about buying a nice house in the city. I think that is absurd. I just paid off my place, and it’s more than nice enough for us.

Why is everyone so focused on their image? They live in 700,000 dollar house with 4000sqft, and it’s just the two of them. And they make less money than I do, they just paid for it through selling their last house, which they lived in for 35 years.

We never get bad storms/tornado’s here.. just blizzards.

today we had a celebration at school which required us to dress up and he saw me in my dress and he looked at me a couple of times and yeah. he kept looking at me and when i turned around i felt his eyes on me. when my dad took a picture with my friends he didnt look back at me and he sometimes he would look back at me. when the celebration started he didnt look at me that much. why? what should i do? pleasee help me!

Today my crush kept looking at me and everything. here and then we would make eye contact. When we went to one of my classes that we havent had in a long time me and him started talking. when my teacher signed something for me and said good luck his head shot right up and he said what and he kept looking at me and copying what i was doing. when i said something about torandoes and that they are intresting he said yeah were is that paper on tornadoes and etc. then when a guy kept bothering me my crush said hey are you guys going out and i was like no !! and he smiled. he kept doing that because he knows that it would annoy me and he kept looking at me and i felt like he was going to scare me like what he used to do. he wanted to know why me and that other guy were talking and yeah. he kept looking at me. everytime he asked if me and the other guy were going out he would be serious and when his friend came he said me and that other guy should go out. but gave a weak smile. what does this mean? what should i do?

What are they really trying to do? sorry, once you’ve seen 1 tornado video, you’ve seen them all.
And why do weathermen find the need to stand outside durring a hurricane? Are they trying to show us that hurricanes are really really windy? And how long till one of them is killed by a flying street sign on live TV?
Edit, I still dont see the point, we have 10,000s of videos of tornados, what good is 1 more video going to prove. I fail to see the need to risk your life for a TV show. granted, Ive never seen the show, but the commercials for it annoy me. Seems like there’re just grand standing.
I don’t think American Idol is a dangerous as people chasing killer storms, and the fact that they are so nonchalant about it kind of make its look like these storms really are not that dangerous. "Hell, why should I take cover, these guys are right next to it filming it, it cant be all that bad".
and again, why during every hurricane does some dumb-ass reporter stand out there and tell us how windy it is? Ratings I guess? Cant want to see how high his ratings are when a stop sign takes his head off on live TVs. Its just a matter of time. Sorry, thats just a pet peeve of mine, I dont expect an answer.
And I don’t watch any "reality" shows, they all seem contrived to me.

My dad isn’t a christian but yesterday he was talking about all of these things happenings ie: earthquakes powerful, tornadoes in the weirdest places, birds dieing, worms dieing. And when he was talking about that I immediately thought the book of Revelations in the bible it says that famine, world peace, earth phenominas (pains of the earth like the earthquakes). I think wow, after that conversation about all of this happening ivwent to the bathroom and cried a little just thinking I dont want it happening in my life time I want kids a family I wanna do stuff I wanna grow old. I also find it weird maybe it’s me putting so much into it but I find it odd that Sony pictures PS3, cox cable television (the national outage), and televisions networks have had technical issues. When I was younger i was probably one of the few Christians that was true a Christian I read the bible all the time but I had a special interest with the book of revelations. I have literally read that exact book about 8 times, (I’m 16 years old) but the last 3 years I have really fallen away. I wanna become a true Christian but I just don’t know what’s in my heart. When I was younger I would want the rapture to happen just to see if i was a true Christian but now I don’t want any of it to happen. Is there anything within the last 1000 years that this Same exact thing has happened just so I know it might not be a sign of the end. Like things in history where Stuff like this happened and people felt like the end would be in their time but in wasn’t? I am a skeptical person to all the 2012 crap, but the book of revelations and the bible I believe truly.
I literally haven’t been this scared for a while.

I’ve seen pictures of tornado-stricken areas, with only these types of storm rooms remaining intact and standing.
We have a room in the center of our house, the walls consisting of 8-inch thick concrete cinder-blocks attached to the foundation with steel re-bar, and concrete poured inside of them. There is 3/4 inch thick plywood on either side of the concrete wall, and the entire room is anchored to the foundation. This is basically how all standard concrete safe rooms are built.

However, ours is a little different (due to builder lack-of-knowledge, and money issues). One, unlike other safe rooms that have a thin concrete slab poured over the ceiling, ours consists of simply very snuggly fitted together 4×8′s running across the ceiling. Two, our door is, unlike the steel sliding and bolting doors of other rooms, a solid, heavy oak door on hinges with just a basic doorknob, no bolts/locks.
Across from the entrance of the room is a solid wall in a hallway, behind which is the fireplace, master bathroom, and master closet. On the left of the room is a half-bathroom and the laundry room. Behind the room is a full bathroom and closet, and to the right of the room is a walk-in closet. This is all the interior section of the house. surrounding all of this is the master bedroom, 3 other bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, and dining room. Its like the center of the house is separate from the outer walls. The house is 5 years old, brick and wood, and on a foundation.

I just want to know if the variations of the way our room was built would affect our safety in an actual tornado, the ceiling and door. If so, I need to make changes to the door (its a bit too late for the ceiling, obviously).

I mean, wow… I have seen dozens of tornado videos, NOTHING … compares to this. The video took you with these people trying to ride out the tornado as it passed right over top of them from beginning to end, almost not making it… it got 1.5 million views in a little over 1 day. I honestly felt like I was there… it was horrifying. Also gave me a better understanding of how fast everything can be taken away from you. The video is really scrambled and dark, but the sound is really…just…intense. I think the guy deserves the views. Warning: it is really sad and disturbing. To all those effected, you are in my thoughts… I am sorry for your losses and I hope things get better.

I’ve been having a lot of tornado dreams lately, like last night I was sleepin and had like a dream with tornados everywhere and I was outside, one tornado was pure green from spruce trees, it almost looked like a mutated tree. It wAs day time out and it was so clear that I could almost draw a picture for you guys. So do tornado dreams mean?

When looking at the odds of my existence, I take make factors into account. My favorite analogy of the universe coming about is that it is as if a tornado went through a junk yard of plane parts, and when it ceased, a well functioning plane resulted. It also takes many factors for a planet to be able to sustain life, so our earth sustaining life is improbable also. Looking at my existence individually, I note that each ejaculation has more sperm then amount of people on the earth. So the fact that my ancestors sperm beat out billions, in that one ejaculation it took to conceive them alone, and I did the same, we can see that it is highly unlikely for me to be here right now. Considering all of these variables, let’s say my existence is infinity to one, because it is sooooo close to zero. I know that I exist, you may not, but I do. I think therefor I am. My brother always says, "what is truth? I am truth." Let’s say time and space are absolute and in fact infinite. Then every possibility will eventually get played out. Including me existing an infinite amount of times, with an infinite amount of changes, and an infinite amount of times with even no change to the life I am living now. The probability of me existing in this case is 100 percent. It is a mathematical guarantee that I exist, and will continue to exist and have existed. So looking at odds, it would make sense to side with the infinite time theory, that proves that I am existing right now as a result of guarantee and not a random chance, a mathematical error. Also painting a picture, I think, based on this, about how all of the suffering I have done, and will ever do, accumulates so that I suffer for an infinite amount of time. Because, I’ll exist an infinite amount of times and suffer an infinite amount of times. I will also be happy an infinite amount of times, too. This theory is similar to eternal return but instead of my life having now change, I will have an infinite amount of times that do change, though eternal return still applies because I will live this same life an infinite amount of times. I told all of this to my friend who said that in thirty billion years all matter will decay, proving this theory wrong. I just assumed that eventually a new big bang will occur, everything will occur again. But could the big bang occur with decayed matter, could the universe form again given an infinite amount of time and space? The big bang is based on time being relative, or so I’ve read, so it may not even have to do with anything based on my theory using absolute time. Anyway, I’m not very good when it comes to science, could anybody tell me if this theory has potential, or if science like my friend thinks eliminates it from being plausible. If anyone could help expand on this theory, I would appreciate it as well.

I’m a teacher for special education and my students are putting together a production of the Wizard of Oz. We need video of a tornado to use on a projection screen in the background. Where can I find a free download? There are some on YouTube, but since I can’t download those of course…would prefer one with no writing since it will be visible to the audience. Sound is fine since it can be muted. Any other suggestions for doing this without video are welcomed also.

I know some of you hang around here to argue about evolution and I’m not getting any responses in the weather section. What do you see happening with this storm system over the next few hours, here’s the radar image:

It’s in the middle of the state and I’m on far east side near Arkansas. If you see the town labeled Muskogee I’m in the county directly to the east of that town and right in the middle of that county. We don’t normally get a lot of tornados here compared to the rest of the state and I’m freaking out because this system is HUGE. I have never seen anything like this. Do you see it falling apart or shifting away from us or anything over the next 2-3 hours? It will take at least that long to get here because it’s a 3-4 hours drive from OKC to here.
The town I’m in is called Tahlequah if you know where that is by any chance.
There is tornados on the ground in the storm but it’s not here yet, it’s 2-3 hours away. Some people have died already. You can turn on warnings on the radar.

Here is the situation: My mother lives in Florida and, until recently, my younger sister and her two children lived there too. My mother would have the children 5 days a week, and during the evenings and overnight on weekend. (so yeah, basically all the time) My sister was never really concerned about it because she was able to go out, work (sometimes) and try to keep an eye on her "husband". Well, her "husband" up and left for Joplin, Missouri (yep, same place on TV now) and my sister became lonely and thought that if she brought the kids to Missouri, the "husband" would have no choice but to come back to her. So, the Saturday before that eadly tornado went through Joplin, she tells my mother she will watch the children. Of course, she actually just takes off with the kids and steals one of my mother’s cars in the process. (Let’s also add into the note that my mother was IN THE PROCESS of trying to get custody of both children!) My mother was scared that if she reported the car stolen, the children would be put into the system and she would never get custody of them. Anyway, my sister goes to Joplin,Missour and we all know what happened next. Now she is trying to ask my mother for money and such, using the sob storey that "the baby doesn’t have this" or "the baby doesn’t have that" (one child is a 6 year old boy, the other is a 7 month old girl) but she has money to try and convince the children’s father to come over. (She basically pays him to come and see them). My mother has offered to have the children flown back but my sister wants none of it because she "knows that eventually the father will come around." The children are sleeping in a car every now and then because the father’s side of the family wants nothing to do with any one of them and my sister has only 3 sets of clothing for them. She says she would rather make this sacrifice than try to live without this man. She has left the children at shelters with people because she "was checking into work" at late hours (we are talking midnight and on) and sees nothing wrong with the children just being shuffled around. She wants my mother to take pictures of things in Florida and send it to her so she can claim that she lost those items in the tornado, ie a television, a different car, expensive stuff you know). She is impossible to track because of the hopping she does from shelter to shelter, but we do know she is still in Joplin. The CPS in Missouri is very busy now, understandably, but there has to be something that can be done. I am unfamiliar with Florida law (I work in law enforcement in Texas) and have no clue of what else to do. We have tried contacting CPS in Missouri, but they are very busy; the social worker in Florida says there is very little they can do right now. There must be something to expose the fraud she is trying to pull and the way she is neglecting these children. Any SERIOUS advice would be appreciated.
It should be noted that the children WERE being neglected before. . . while in Florida. Their mother would rather party and go out than care for her children. She merely visited them at my mother’s house when she was awake. YES, a disaster zone is an excuse but she is being given an option to make it better for her children and she refuses because she only wants to chase a man around!

There was a tornado that hit Joplin, Missouri. This video gives audio of a convenient store being hit. Fastforward to the 3:00 mark. The sound of the tornado can be heard but you can ALSO hear the sound of people praying to Jesus.

Guess what? No one inside the convenient store was killed.

How do atheists explain this miracle?
Atheists demand documented evidence and this is DOCUMENTED evidence. This was even shown on the news and yet atheists are still in denial?

I have a weather app on my ipad and said was possible rotation to the north of bennington vt. But there was no warnings. So ilook out my window nad what looks like to me is a tornado or one starting.. im 15 and my brothers 14 and his best insult to him is calling me caillou- look it up in google images. He calls me this because i have hair but i have a buzz cut, i laugh every time he calls me this and now its really pissing me off.

He also calls me weather boy now because i once stood outside when there was supposed to be a tornado-there wasnt. I want to know what you think of his freaking annoying "insult", i dont care if you make fun of him, also include a good comeback for that.

My science teacher was telling us about a pink tornado that was in Life Magazine today, and she was saying she couldn’t find it, and neither can I. The tornado was pink because it had passed through a field of pink carnations and the petals were swirling around inside it. Any help? :\

I had a dream that i was at my middle school,( i am currently in high school) and the room that my class was located in was my grandmothers house. there was a large Tornado coming that we could see, but i ran as fast home as i could because i only lived a few blocks away. no one was home and i ended up back at the school/grandmothers house. when everyone went downstairs there was this greenish looking sick old lady and a really sick looking cat and everyone started screaming because the old lady was trying to attack them. we all ran upstairs.i then left in search for my parents(who are separated) i try both of their phones but no answer. so when i leave to go and find them i head to where they work. but when i get some ways away from the school the city turns HUGE almost Las vegas looking but the city never ends. so i find a shuttle train which i have never been in or seen, the shuttle is almost like a roller coaster but it takes me down to this water front. at the water front everyone is watching a tv and crying. on the news its talking about large volcanoes erupting in europe and it is going to make europe go almost complete under water(i live in america). it also showed videos on the news of the large cities being sunk down by the volcanoes. I run away as fast as i can, i end up in these trails that go through a forest that is located in my town that i go to very rarely and there is this coach (the wagon and horses) and he tells me to climb in and he is very nice. and then we end up Driving into the forest a ways with a few other people and the dream ends. and i never did find my parents. what could this dream mean or indicate?

I’m looking for info regarding the tornado that hit Springfield Massachusetts on Wednesday.
My mother grew up there and she wants to know if her old house was affected. She doesn’t live there anymore but..you know…she still wants to know.

Her address is near Entry Dingle Park, which is not to far from the Forest Park/Porter Lake area.

What I’m looking for is if someone would be generous enough to go to the address and give me a report and perhaps a couple pictures.

It was first said to be a F-4, but changed to a F-5, but do they know what the actual speed of the wind was? No pictures of past F-5 tornados had this much complete destruction. 250 300? Wow! I dont know how that many people survived.
