Ok i get Kinda Nervous (not nessicarly Very Scared!) from Severe Thunderstorms… But not that big on tornadoes dont get me wrong if one happend i would be pushing people out of the way to find shelter and pissing my pants while doing it… (im 13 btw) and i live in florida so they get real bad like today there was a Like state wide very severe thunderstorm….. But what is wrong with me? if anything? im more nervous of Lightning and Loud Thunder…. So Whats wrong?

Um, how in the hell is that? lol If someone is trying to kill me i’m going to run or call the police. If a tornado is approaching, i’m not going to just sit there and accept it, i’m going to take shelter. I’m a Skywarn storm spotter in the Tampa bay area for Florida. As a storm spotter, I’m supposed to report severe weather to the National Weather Service to keep the public informed about severe weather. I keep having this recurring dream where my uncle Richard and I are trapped in a thunderstorm and we decide to run to the storm shelter. Once there Richard takes off his shirt and is glistening like a beautiful Greek demigod. He then asks me if I’d like to go jackoff in a tornado, and I oblige. Well…..I started this question earlier but stopped to check on the baby bunny in my yard….and I found it dead. 1. cuz it was so hot 2. probly it needed food/ water and… I buried him..no I put him in the tornado shelter cuz its safe in there. I live in California and a few weeks ago there was a tornado warning when i was at home. Then the tv said, "Tornado Warning seek shelter immediately" and i was like o.k but where do i go they didn’t tell me. So i just sat around for 30 minutes and looked out the window occasionally.i was also absent from school my friend told me that the teachers didnt tell them what to do so they just stayed in class and couldnt leave.

We live in a terrible trailer park! Nobody is screened before they move in (there has been pedophiles and there’s still drug dealers out here), they don’t keep up ALL of the park, or anything! What I mean is, there is a long road, that leads to a dead end, about 3/4 of the way down the road, there’s mail boxes – supposedly, the road after the mail boxes is ‘private’ so everybody here has less rights than the people that live before the mail boxes. One of those lesser rights is the fact that the landlords won’t pay for a snow plow to remove the snow past the mail boxes (they plow up to the mail boxes, then stop – literally!!) Now because of that, when cars drive on that, the snow got packed – making the road VERY slippery…yesterday, my mom went to check the mail and slipped, fell backwards, and broke her wrist… (she has severe rheumatoid arthritis, too, so she’s in an awful lot of pain)..My mom had a brain aneurysm last may so we can’t really afford this bill (she went to the hospital, though)
Another one of the lesser rights is, (my neighbors have a dog that is forced to live in a very small kennel 24/7, with no stimulation what so ever – sometimes he’s not fed for days, etc.) one day, last summer, he got out of his kennel, (my dog was outside with me and my family – on her cable tie out) and he ATTACKED my dog! If my brother (who is very strong) wasn’t there, my dog could be dead…The owners saw what happened, but all they could say was, "If you kill my dog, I’ll kill you" and they tried getting by with saying, "He was just playing…" I called the police immediately and all they could tell me was that because the road past the mail boxes (where I live) is private road, so they couldn’t do squat about it! They wouldn’t even do anything about the dog being abused/neglected in the first place! The landlords are ‘friends’/related to my neighbors so there’s nothing they would have done about it…..for the longest time, we couldn’t even blink when letting our {elderly} dog out to go to the bathroom – I couldn’t even walk her for goodness sake…because the neighbors dog would get out so many times a day! (Now the neighbors boarded off the kennel completely so there’s no getting in or out of the kennel…except for a gate they have some locks attached too…)
As if it couldn’t get worse; the landlords son patrols the park (with illegal lights flashing on his car – there was a time he was pretending to be a cop, too..) and all he does is look for trouble (there’s a lot of retarded people out here – he picks fights with them, the cops favor the landlords son, the retarded people wind up in jail over night..). AND every single summer (particularly when we have tornado warnings) he’ll come and lock the gate that lets us into the storm shelter (our only form of protection from a tornado..it’s so old, though, I don’t know if it’d even save us..)
What I’d like to know is if there’s ANYTHING, anything at all we can do to have SOME rights, or to be treated fairly, or SOMETHING!! It’s RIDICULOUS out here….This trailer park has some fairly new trailers in it that are being rented out…that is until you get to the freakin mail boxes…all the trailers after that SHOULD be condemned (rotting holes in the floor… ceilings leak in more than 5 different places throughout the trailer) and there’s well over 30 stray cats roaming outside (but that’s due to another neighbor – he brings cats in until they reach maturity; then they’ll either start spraying or going into heat – then the tosses them back outside or keeps them and lets them get pregnant over and over and over – then he tosses the kittens outside (after weaning..)!!!
What can we do about all of this (neglected dog, mom breaking her wrist due to lazy landlords, strays, our lesser rights, etc.)???

Sadly is no more. The Tornado struck suddenly ripping apart buildings 32 lives were lost before they could reach their storm shelter. The sight was devastating. When they emerged from their shelters their homes were in ruins. Weeping they begin to gather what little belongings they had left and and shuffle off down the road. Many of them blamed Gods wrath on the dispute that had been raging between the Method and Baptist for the last three months since the Methodist Church had burned to the ground. three months earlier. Still Holding grudges as they gave hateful glances at each other from opposite sides of the road as they slowly shuffled down the long lonely road. What do you think? TORNADO –EMERGENCY– TORONTO HELP?
A tornado is heading toward my area and the only shelter we have is an above ground basement, is it safe to hide under the staircases there!?
I NEED ANSWERS NOW because it’s been sighted moving in straight into our area.
Okay so we have this stray cat around the apartment complex. Most of the cats around here you would consider ferel but this guy is obviously a housecat. We haven’t done anything until now because well he had a collar and we figured that his owners may have just let him outside. Well we’ve observed him over the last few weeks.
He is very friendly. Yesterday I noticed his collar was gone. I think his owners left without him and just turned him loose. So I gave him some love and a bit of food.
Yesterday Afternoon a Tornado came through….we’re okay and so is our apartment but it came close by. We were without power for six hours so once things cleared up we decided to go out and get some food.
The cat was sitting in the middle of the road. He seemed like he was way off his game, almost in shock. So my husband got his attention and called him over and got him out of the street and on our sidewalk.
Well we came back about 45 minutes later (a lot of areas had to be rerouted and we couldn’t get into town on the main road)
The cat was still sitting where we left him and then he followed us to our door. Like he was waiting for us. He is a sweet kitty but my husband said "We can’t bring him inside"
You see we have a Terrier who is scared to death of cats (but wouldn’t hurt one) and Poodle who wouldn’t mind eating one for dinner. It would be a bad situation all around.
Well we went back out to let the dogs out and the cat just stayed right by our apartment. My husband again said "I have to put my foot down it would be a bad idea to bring the cat in. He is used to being outside, it would be bad to put him in a little cat cage all night and the dogs would be nervous and so would he"
My husband said "Find a shelter that will take him and we will get him and take him up there"
So I called around today and none of the No Kill shelters are open until Tuesday.
(AC opens tomorrow but I’m not taking the cat where it will be put down)
Is there anything I can do for him sooner…..is there anyway to keep him coming around and trusting me until I can get him up to the shelter on Tuesday?

I don’t normally try to seek meaning in my dreams… but for around ten years i’ve been having reoccurring dreams of tornadoes. Not every night, but at least six times a year. It’s very common for me… but I don’t understand it. They are getting closer and closer to me as each dream passes. This past dream I was actually in a house that was passed by the tornado, and I could see the core of the tornado outside of the window… I don’t understand these dreams, or why they repeat. In each dream the scenario is the same… I’m trying to help people seek shelter. The people, background and other circumstances are never the same though.

theres this movie that used to be on fox family/abc family a lot, and it has something to do with a tornado. i only remember certain parts including a guy chasing the tornados and then there was another part where everyone was in a shelter and someone was holding a baby. there was an old lady who got injured by the tornados and someone picked her up in a car to get her to a hospital or shelter.i think someone had a car on top of them but that could be a whole other movie im thinking of. i also think there was a teenager and that baby that someone was holding was actually his half brother or sister. like i think his mom or dad remarried idk. any ideas?

Back in mid-April, my brother and I were driving on a highway in Texas through bad weather. I noticed the clouds above us were rotating and just then the wind picked up and some trees next to us fell over and a transformer blew. We barely managed to escape the forming tornado and were naturally shaken up a bit by the incident.
Ever since then, he and I have regularly dreamed about tornadoes: being chased by them and trying to find shelter.
I was wondering if we could be traumatized or maybe the incident is still fresh in our subconscious? I mean, we laughed about it right after it happened and we aren’t the type to freak out easily, so why the recurring dreams?
