pretty funny since i just did a report on storms and my dad is a weather man. lol, lying face down in a ditch will not help you since the lightning can still strike at you, squating down low will not work because you can still get hit by lightning, putting up your umbrella will keep you from getting wet but again, you can still get electrocuted, but seeking shelter under a highway overpass is safe your away from lightning and from rain, so thats a good choice,
and you should have one gallon per person per day because one gallon would go by fast with all of your family drinking it, a couple of bottles will go in a day or two, ten gallons per person per day is way too much, so at least one gallon per person per day sounds good.
and the signs of a tornado are dark skies, flying debris and a freight train noise. because rain and flying debris can be a very windy thunderstorm, hurricane, etc…, flying debris can be from high winds on a very windy day, a visible funnel cloud only is not true, but is a sign of an approaching tornado so watch out if you see that.
