A poll about the Gulf oil spill!?
Please understand, I am in no way an alarmist nor raise my voice to steer anyone in the incorrect direction, but I see something that has recently occurred that has me really concern in the short and long term sense.
The most recent oil rig disaster in the Gulf off the American coast seems to be looked upon in a blasé fashion. What I mean is doesn’t you the citizens of the world know what the true short and long term ramifications of what is occurring, what is going to happen because of the incompetence of one of the worlds biggest greed mongers.
People who have gone out to help with the clean up, the fishermen, shrimpers, and Joe American found themselves becoming extremely sick, that they were told that they needed to wear hazmat suits while doing the clean up of bacteria ridden oil that has been trapped in the earth for millions of years.
Don’t you realize that within 9 to 14 months this oil spill, I mean the continuous oil flood will have circumnavigated the earth in some form or the other carrying God only knows what new diseases that have been trapped for millions of years, propagating, multiplying and morphing in the stew pot of protein the oceans has to offer as one giant Petri dish; bacteria that very well could have been the very device that could have wiped out the dinosaurs. Bacteria that could be easily be spread much quicker inland by just one hurricane and across the globe, and you have BP who seems not to know their [jack] a-ss from a hole in the ground, is in solo control of this mess?????
You may think, we pump oil out of the ground all over the earth and nothing has happened yet; yes this is true but the difference is that the oil is in a closed system, and is kept under wraps all through its processes of breaking it down [cracking] into the products we all use. People get sick when exposed to crude oil really sick and cases of cancer in the short term have been documented from the date of contact.
We b itch and complain and point our fingers at the government for its lack of action while BP hides behind policies that have been put in place by those who protect big business rather it be Democrat or Republican, when we all throughout this planet need to stand up and I mean stand up now and protest in masses about this whole mess. Brother and Sisters put aside your indifferences and make your voice heard. To quote an old line in a movie, we damn mad and we ain’t going to take it anymore. Pick up the phone; go on line, walk, drive or bike to the local political parties or officials and voice you anger. Boycott BP; don’t buy gasoline or any other product from them, send them a clear and undisputable that we as the human race will not supply your coffers with the fodder your greedy corporation feeds upon until this mess is 100% taken care of , then watch how fast it gets fixed.
Heck, take a few of those fat cat BP executives and shoot them into the well head that should quickly plug it up.
Voice your positive or negative concerns, all answers will be appreciated; don’t delay act now or parish in the future.
Hey apeman605 eat chit and die. Oops, I spelled that wrong, but you get the message or are that ignorant?

Don’t guys that nit pick typos make you sick?
Brilliant answer pal.
Yes, we are being poisoned.
Rachael Maddow toured the wetlands near the leak.
It is amazing how much the land depends on them.
Let’s put it this way, buy land 40 miles inland if the wetlands die from this.
It’ll be beach front property shortly.
And pesticides are killing us as well.
Fruit, I love it but now they are saying to peel it before eating it.
What’s an apple without the crunch?
I’m just saying, whether you realize it or not, agriculture and industry are slowly killing us.
And some people think we should be nicer to BP "they’re trying" they say.
The time to ‘try" is in engineering all the safety issues BEFORE they happen.
So far the Govt hasn’t made it necessary to peel my apples.
It’s the big businesses that everyone thinks we should be nicer to.
If I had a choice between Corporations running this country or the Government, I’ll go with the Government every time.

Well I will support the convenient store part but I do wonder why BP is telling the FAA where they can fly and not fly. But I don`t know about a 2012 event but demand destruction maybe.

Something needs to be done soon, like tomorrow not September or December or 2011 or 2012. We need to band together. Hey apeman605, bite it jag off; must work for BP.

You are right. Who knows what may be breeding in that crud. For all we know, that may be how the zombie apocalypse starts. And that jackass of a president sits there playing golf. And those bigwigs in charge act like it’s not important to find a way to stop it. It’s up to you and me to take care of ourselves. The upper crust couldn’t care less what happens to us, they have their back up plans. They have their refuges and when the schumer hits the fan, they have umbrellas to make sure it doesn’t splash on them.

Why do we whine and complain about big business, yet we continue to use the products they produce? Seems kind of backward. I’m not buying the idea of bacteria laden oil, what’s hurting people is the fumes from the oil, and the fumes from the detergent-dispersant sprayed into the Gulf. I don’t think it was a good idea to load the Gulf up with too-strong laundry soap, they should have left it alone.
Hmm, there are a lot of "should haves." I guess the point now is to slow down and stop this as much as possible.
The problem with not buying gas from BP is even if you bought it from another company, it either sells their product to BP, or BP sold oil to them, they refined it, then sold it back to BP. Few oil companies are independent of each other.
