Tornados and other adverse weather conditions in the USA !!!

Dividing the Land of Israel: Blessing or Curse?

Joel 3:2 which says, "I will gather all the nations, and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land". This prophecy written around 800 B.C., ultimately promises God’s retaliation against those who have taken the Jewish people from their land, or divided His land, the land He promised to Abraham, then Isaac, then Jacob, in the last days.

Some disasters appear to be related to God’s promise to bless those who bless Israel but curse those who slight Israel .

November 30, 1998

Arafat comes to Washington again to meet with President Clinton to raise money for a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as the capital. A total of 42 other nations were represented in Washington . All agreed to give Arafat billion in aid. Clinton promised 0 million and the European nations .7 billion. On the same day, the Dow Jones average drops 216 points, and on December 1, the European Market had its worst day in history. Hundreds of billions of market capitalization were wiped out in U.S. and Europe .

December 12, 1998

Clinton lands in the Palestinian-controlled section of Israel to discuss the "land for peace" process. The House of Representatives votes four articles of impeachment against Clinton .

May 3, 1999

The day Yasser Arafat is scheduled to declare a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital the most powerful tornado storm system ever to hit the United States sweeps across Oklahoma and Kansas . Winds are clocked at 316mph, the fastest wind speed ever recorded. The declaration is postponed to December 1999 at the request of Clinton , whose letter to Arafat encourages him in his "aspirations for his own land." He also writes that the Palestinians have a right to "determine their own future on their own land" and that they deserve to "live free today, tomorrow and forever."

October 11, 1999

Jewish settlers in 15 " West Bank " ( Israel ) settlements are evicted from the covenant land in Israel . Dow Jones financial averages loses 5.7% in the worst week since October 1989. On October 15 the Dow lost 266 points. A hurricane slams into North Carolina . Next morning, October 16, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake rocks the Southwest in the fifth most powerful earthquake in the 20th century. The earthquake was centered in the California desert and did little damage but it was felt in three states.

August 2005

Jewish families were evicted from their homes in the Gaza communities as part of Ariel Sharon’s "Disengagement" plan. This disengagement was a response to the American Foreign Policy pressure being exerted by Condoleeza Rice. As the world watched the Jews being removed from their homes, a weather system was forming in the Atlantic . This storm became Hurricane Katrina, which destroyed New Orleans , Louisiana (Miss Rice’s home state) and an area the size of Britain , rendering thousands of Americans homeless and leaving thousands dead. Hurricane Katrina also spoiled the "Southern Decadence" weekend planned by the homosexual community for New Orleans and supported by the mayor of New Orleans . By September 7th, further parallels were becoming apparent. The Mayor of New Orleans, having been heavily criticized for ineffectiveness has ordered troops (local people) and police to evacuate all residents who refuse to leave. The police chief has expressed reservations about tackling defiant householders as it would be a "PR disaster."

God continues to send warning after warning as we as a country insist that Israel give up land that God promised to Abraham, then to Isaac, then to Jacob and to his descendents. The responsibility of such action rests on our own shoulders because God has warned in His Word, in Joel 3:2, for the nations to keep their hands off of His covenant land and has demonstrated in history that He is serious about that warning.

I wonder how much they would charge people to help them if they lost their home and everything?

0, 00? to get them some food, shelter and clothing? Get their kids back to a private school, and have private security guards keep them safe? How much, so they could at least make a profit for providing the service?

That’s what the republicans would want, right? For privatization; for private corporations to make money and not simply help people for nothing – right?

The Republican Congress wants to get rid of social safety-net FEMA? Having second thoughts about that?

What would’ve happened if the tornado disaster happened when Bush was in office – Or if Trump gets in?

If a hurricane or tornado devastated a republican state and their insurance didn’t want to cover them, would they look to the government for handouts or do they believe its their responsibility to take care of themselves?
Hmmm… people reaching out for other people and taking care of people in need, sounds very democratic to me.

There are insurance contracts that state certain natural distasters aren’t covered, so I am asking a question about if they were not indeed covered for a specific disaster what would they do.
@The OnlyB – so glad you brought up the point that it is the Christian thing to do to help other people. It is not only the Chrisitian way, there are other religions you know and I know it may sound crazy but there are people who are not religious that also help others and give back. Why on earth are the Republicans so far from wanting to help the poor and ones in need, is this what Jesus would’ve wanted, to help the Rich that capitalize on the poor…hmmm.

As long as the atmosphere is ripe with the conditions for them, there will be tornadoes anywhere. The atmosphere doesn’t discriminate.

It’s pretty much what drives my fear of thunderstorms, so it would make me feel so much better if I knew how strong the storm has to be for the tornado to form. Thank you so much!

In “Miracles are to come” Cummings says that poems “are not for most people.” How does “what if a much of a which of a wind” seem to contradict that statement?
A) Most people have read that poem.
B) The poem is only about the life of one person—the poet himself.
C) The poem is about a disaster happening to most, or even all, people.
D) The poem praises selfishness at the expense of togetherness.

The poem “somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond” is mainly about the
A) speaker’s desire to travel to new places.
B) speaker’s wish to avoid arguments with his beloved.
C) power of words to make people fall in love.
D) speaker’s thoughts and feelings about his beloved.

In E. E. Cummings’s poem “what if a much of a which of a wind,” the images describe
A) a tornado in the Midwest.
B) the destruction of the universe.
C) a gravitational problem.
D) global weather changes.

Wordplay is part of Cummings’s style. Which passage from “what if a much of a which of a wind” uses the spellings of words to make a clever point?
A) “blow friend to fiend”
B) “bites this universe in two”
C) “yanks immortal stars awry”
D) “blow pity to envy”

Inventive grammar is part of Cummings’s style. If a Cummings sentence were given standard capitalization and punctuation, it would still include nonstandard syntax and grammar. Which rewritten sentence below still uses nonstandard grammar?
A) Nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands.
B) Your slightest look will easily enclose me.
C) The most who die, the more we live.
D) I do not know what it is about you that closes and opens.

Nonstandard syntax, or sentence structure, is part of E. E. Cummings’s style. If the first two lines of “somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond” were rewritten as a sentence that used standard syntax and mechanics, they would be:
A) Somewhere I have traveled gladly beyond any experience, your eyes have their silence.
B) Somewhere I have never traveled, gladly beyond any experience, your eyes have their silence.
C) Somewhere I have never traveled. Gladly beyond all experience, your eyes have their silence.
D) Somewhere I have never traveled. Gladly beyond all experience. Your eyes have their silence.

I have read every poem over and OVER again. I just can’t seem to figure them out! please help me out, it would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

I live in a manufactured home. It’s on a cement foundation and the straps are cemented into the foundation. I’m trying to plan ahead for tornado season but I’m confused as to whether my home qualifies as a ‘death trap’ like some mobile homes do. I’ve read that manufactured homes are no better than mobile homes during tornadoes and that mobile or manufactured homes that are strapped down can only withstand 100 mph winds, if that. I know my home is strapped down, but does the foundation not help at all? I thought that homes on a cement foundation were secure, but now I’m not sure. Is my home perhaps strapped to the foundation and not actually secure like other homes with a foundation? It makes me nervous as none of my neighbors have basements or anything of the sort so I’m not sure where to go if I can’t stay in my home

I live in a apartment complex and their bottom floor/basement is only around five feet below the ground. Would that be enough adequate protection from a tornado?

Is this be punishment form God. Read the paper.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) – Tornadoes and flash flooding have left at least 5 people dead in Virginia and crews are continuing to assess damage the severe weekend storms caused across several areas of the state.

Virginia Department of Emergency Management spokesman Bob Spieldenner said Sunday that three people died and scores suffered injuries in Gloucester County, where a tornado cut through a 12-mile swath, uprooting trees and destroying homes. Neighboring areas such as James City, Isle of Wight and Middlesex counties also experienced heavy damage. The National Weather Service also reported at least one tornado touched down Saturday in Dinwiddie County.

Spieldenner says farther west, flash flooding killed two people in Waynesboro, and prompted other water rescues. Officials reported flooding along the northern Interstate 81 corridor, and said floodwaters damaged homes and other property.
the dirt road has turned into river and the stupid tourists left us behind for ourselves. We is on high ground in the mountains so it is alright if we has no mudslides. many goat and cattle has washed away but the doggies is okay, they is good swimers and the cats climbed up on the trees.
tod you is talking to a guy who has a GED D+ third try. I dont like all the science stuff. I is a hunter, we hunts for our foods. I know about guns.

http://www.accuweather.com/blogs/news/story/48846/tornadoes-breaking-out-again-f.asp

This storm front or whatever that caused the tornadoes in Arkansas is headed northeast. Everyone in its path should be careful. I’m a little worried because there is a pocket just north of me in Ohio that is known for its tornadoes.

These storms/tornadoes have already caused major devastation. My dad is a "storm watcher," so I’m sure he’ll be tracking this so I won’t have to. I’ve heard we’re just going to get strong storms, and then I’ve heard there are definitely more major tornadoes expected so I don’t know what to think. I hope everyone is keeping an eye on it.

I have been looking aroudn at info on all these recent storms and everyone is saying how disgusted they are to watch haarp kill all of these people and how we need to stop the evil and stuff. Is Haarp really causing all of this? I’m a bit confused about haarp? Is all of this abnormal? I don’t live in an area that has tornado seasons so I have no clue what is normal and what isn’t.

We had a tornado come through our neighborhood and have some damage, although not at bad as one street over from us which was pretty much demolished. We had trees uprooted and land on the corner of our house, half our fence destroyed, and other minor damage. We took pictures of everything. The insurance adjuster came out for an inspection, but the trees were still on the house so some of the damage wasn’t visible. He told me to take pictures after the tree came off, get estimates, and email him all the information. He also said that because the tree is on our house, if a local company came by and offered to remove it and the price seemed reasonable, to go ahead. Well, we had a company take the tree out. It was actually three trees (insurance is counting it as one) that grew out of the same root system (two birches and an oak) and we were charged accordingly. We’ve also had estimates done for the fence and roof. The fence estimate was okay with our insurance, but they have problems with the roof and the cost of the tree/stump removals. My cousin and uncle own a tree removal company in another state, so when we heard the price for removing ours I called them and they both said it was a fair price. We went ahead with it. As for the roof, after the tree came off we found a few shingles missing, some with damage, a gutter that was destroyed, a hole in our siding, the cap on our chimney was ripped off, a joist broken, soffet (sp?) damage, and trim pieces missing. (There may be more, but I can’t think of anything off the top of my head.) Our roof estimate includes all of those things being repaired/replaced, plus labor costs. Now our insurance doesn’t wait to pay for the trees or roof because they think its too much money. We’ve had three estimates done for the roof, but they were for more money and didn’t include repairing/replacing all of the things I have listed above. My dad, a roofer, thought the estimates were reasonable. What do I do now? Get more estimates? Take less money from insurance and wait until my husband gets back (he’s Army) to have him do the work himself?
My dad thought the estimates I got were reasonable, not the insurance estimate. And he won’t be doing the work on the house for me because he lives too far away and absolutely hates to travel…he’s never been more than three hours from his house, ever.
Also, the debris removal max is 0, but that is for taking out the stump and moving the debris to the curb (or to our backyard for firewood in our case). Insurance pays separately to get the tree off the house and fence, which is where a majority of the cost came from. They had difficulties doing their job without causing more damage to the house and fence, which is why it cost as much as it did. The same company that did our removal also did three of our neighbors, and I’ve talked to them and none have had issues with insurance over it. Our insurance, though, is threatening to call the attorney general on them (probably a crock of sh!t). Alright, I’m done now.

Hey(: I used to be a "anti stormist"( for lack of better word). I had a huge fear of storms, thunder, rain, tornadoes ect. I got freaked at the sights of clouds. But now I am over that and knee deep in this obsession with tornados!! I live in Oklahoma so these storms are a bit of a trademark. So, my question. Any sites or books or stuff to fule my tornado obsession?:D thanks!
