I have a project for school and I need the number of tornadoes TX and OK have had since 2005.
Help!
I need the exact number of haw many tornadoes we’ve had since 2005-2010 in the whole TX and the whole Oklahoma please… HELP!

I’m finishing up my required courses for my involvement with our local Community Animal Rescue Team (CART) and one thing they kept drilling into our heads is the need for pet owners to be prepared in the event of an emergency to deal with their pets.

For example: I live in an area where hurricanes are likely. I have a Ready Kit of personal supplies for each member of my family as well as for my dogs and cat. I have a list of all pet friendly hotels from here to several "safe" areas should we have to evacuate. The dogs’ kit includes pet food, medicines, brushes, extra leashes and collars, pet first aid kit, water and food bowls, etc.

I also have a fire escape plan to include the dogs.

What are some of the things you have prepared for?

One night all of them have been out of town, well its a different town that i don’t know, but it has a few distinct stores that are in my town for example. One of them there was tornado’s every where and my entire family was with me and we went to take shelter in a bowling alley, in the bowling alley someone tried to rob my grandmother, and she got stabbed, then my husband went after him, but there was a whole gang of robbers, and they mauled my husband, the original one ran off, ( and at this point in time the bowling alley looked like a movie theater with lanes) he happen to run in to some of my husbands friends, then took care of the robber. My husband then came back fine, …………
another we was traveling down the amazon river (leaves, bugs, trees, snakes, and alligators,) the whole nine yards. We walked and walked and swam exc… then we come to an old abandoned shack on the river bank. we go in to rest. in the middle of the floor there was a huge open crack. when you went near the crack you could here a family of rattle snakes under. so we put a big rug over it so the rattle snakes could not come up. we continued on out trip and when we finally got there we were in Kansas. We stayed at a gas station/motel. there was a very pretty attendant. it turns out the reason we went down the amazon river was to get his car from ks. so we come back the next day and we are driving up by a friends house and he is mad. i asked him what was wrong and he said they woulnt let me move back with my car. and im like wwwwhwwwhat???? and he said that they said it attracts the mosquitos, i looked around the inside of the car and the entire car was covered with them the size of dragon flies. then i asked when he was planning on telling me he was moving, and he said that he figured that i would have figured it out for myself by now, that he was in love with that lady at the gas station in ks, and why did i think his car was down there in the first place….

if some one could help me with what maybe some of my dreams mean, when i have a bad one that seems really realistic, like my husband cheating on me, i wake up mad, i just cant stop thikning about it. thanks

I just got a new video card so that my walls on the sims wouldnt be red and black, or with seasons the ground wouldnt be purple and black. Unfortunetly, there are huge patches of grass, and if I add two other games it will basically look like a tornado or something destroyed the town-except roads are going in several different directions, trees strected over long distances, etc. Please help, I need to know whats going on(possibly)
The computer is new. But if its the resolution, how do I change it? And it worked perfectly before.

I am currently trying to locate a map of Oklahoma that is pretty detailed. Down to the dirt roads, county roads, ect….. I am new to storm spotting/chasing and I am in dire need of a map of this sort since tornado season is just around the corner. anyone know where i can get ahold of such a map?

Please don’t mention California. And if you want mention other natural disasters that ocurr in a certain state that will avoid me move over there. Hurricanes are fine, I have been through them all and survived.
***Massive tornadoes, flood and earthquakes that have destroyed houses. Like mention the states were it most happens. If it happens in every state then I’ll state in this shithole and stay poor.

The movie has an F in the title. It’s about a small town that’s hit by tornadoes or something and only several kids survive the disaster. One of the kids rides a skateboard everywhere he goes while wearing rabbit ears. He thinks it came out in the ’90′s sometime but is not sure. Anyone have any idea what that movie might be?

Could someone please explain to me the logic of the media and (mostly liberal) politicians saying increased drilling will not affect the price of oil?

Oil like all commodities is based on supply and demand. We have high prices right now because of:

-Hurricane Katrina wrecking refineries
-Hugo Chavez and Venezuela
-Problems in Nigeria
-Fewer refineries built
-Middle East instablity

If we drill, that would lower the price with more supply, right?

If we have more suppliers and more operational wells, that would lower the price by adding more sources of trade?

Am I missing something here?

I live in California and even though our financial systems a mess, I wouldn’t move. I like living here mainly because of the weather. I live inland, in between San Francisco and Sacramento the weather here is at most windy. We get rain and some storms but nothing else. We got hail for the first time in a couple of years. The only thing you have to worry about in California is earthquakes and those don’t happen very often and where I live the last big one in San Franciso I didn’t even feel.

No Hurricanes, No Tornadoes, No snow,No deadly floods that’s my California. If that changed I’d probably move.

Ok so I can’t forget about this dream at all, and it happened last night. It starts out in my kitchen, and my mother is kind of sad. I ask her what is wrong and she replies that she saw something last night and was showing it to Sally, our dog. This whole time she was packing up food and clothing because apparently a tornado is coming, which is odd because we live in a place with little to no tornado’s. I then find out she saw an alien last night and that is another reason she is making us leave the house, the aliens are coming to invade earth. (Let me remind you this dream was very vivid.) I go into her room to help pack and find a drawing of hers, it is a skeleton-like purple alien in a coffin flying through the sky, I ask her about it and she says she saw that last night. Then we get in the car and drive to a Chevron because the shelter is there, I text my boyfriend and he meets up with us there, and then it ends. However, I woke up very scared for some reason, and had a sense that I should not cough at all, and I needed to cough badly, but I keep it in. So, am I seeing something important or just something my mind made up.
The whole coughing incident, happened after I woke up. Also I am terrified of death, my self dying, dead people. On friday I saw ashes in a World War II video and barely talked for over an hour. So the skeleton in the coffin scared me, and it also alarmed me that it had an aura or purple around it since purple is my favorite color. I hope the extra details helped.

to me this is the way nature works. we complain about all the horriblness in the world, but why can’t it just be the way its ssupposed to be? there is a reason why we came to the thought of making a nuclear bomb or a car or have a supply of oil underground,etc… this is part of the evolution of humans. volcanos explode and cause havoc, the ocean floods the earth, hurricanes,etc. thats nature. and wee’re part of it. humans are simply like a volcano. we may be destroying the planet here over time,but seems to me the way its supposed to go. otherwise,it would take another direction,right?

"I don’t know what you’re gettin’ at with these freaks," Fisher whispered harshly, glancing at the door to make sure it was still closed, "but what the hell do you expect me to do about it."

A muffled, frantic sounding voice spilled from over the phone and into the dark office. Fisher pulled at his tie angrily and threw his cowboy hat at the wall. Those government snobs had no idea who they were talking to. He was Jeremiah Fisher for Christ’s sake, and that meant no damn bastard was gonna tell him what to do with his company!

And rather than meeting him in person they had some limp dick rookie named Wringley or something have a conference with him over the phone. Every time the kid began a new sentence or went off on some tangent that included the phrase ‘It’s for your own protection, sir’ Fisher felt the urge to go out and shoot something.

He slammed a ringed fist into his desk. Pens, paper clips, and pictures of his latest lady, a wolf-whistling worthy blonde half his age, rattled on the surface. “Look here, nobody even knows what those people even look like.” His Texan accent raged, “But even with that, I guaran-goddamn-tee you they won’t be gettin’ anywhere near me or my bank!” He slammed the phone back onto it’s hook.

Fisher snatched a small remote control off his desk and pressed a green little button that said ‘open’. Black blinds began to rise on the far side of the room, revealing a wall spanning window that displayed Freighton City at night.

The sky line was crowded with massive buildings, lights lit up every corner in every hue, brightly dressed Altum danced their worries away, and best yet? No solum to be seen. Those filthy creatures were kept indoors once the clock hit 8:00 pm.

In the very middle of the city, a large projection of the government sigil, an olive branch, shone clearly for all to see – and to be reminded. They’re always watching, he thought. Fisher glared at it before snorting and turning away.

A man stood before him.

It took only a split second for Fisher to catch the bright red symbol on the sleeve of the man’s black jacket. Immediately he jumped away.

“W-w-whoever sent you, I can p-pay you more,” He said with as much courage one could muster when facing down one of the most dangerous and wanted criminals in the empire.

The invader did not move from where he was. He was a tall man, menacing, wearing a hood with a dark mirroring eyeshade that Fisher could see his own frightened reflection in. A chill breeze came from nowhere and Fisher shivered.

“I’ll o-offer you anything you want, really I can gi-”

He stopped himself when he saw the man smile.

Suddenly the windows behind him burst and torrents of wind came rushing into the office. Papers flew and furniture moved in the flurry. Fisher fell to his knees and covered his head, the current pushed him forward. When he looked up the man was standing amongst the tornado, his long jacket flapping behind him, not even effected.

It was then that the flood of wind stopped for a moment. Fisher took a deep breath or relief.

“My apologies,” the man said and the wind began to pick up once more, only this time it pushed him back rather than forward. Fisher slid on glass until he could feel the back of his heels hanging over the edge. He leaped forward, but in doing so he lost his anchor and was suspended in the air. Half of his body inside of the office, and half of it hanging above the glowing city.

The man was holding up a gloved clenched fist in front of him, level with Fisher’s dangling body. “Mr. Fisher,” The man said, his voice barely heard over the rushing torrents, “Goodbye.” He released the fist.

Fisher fell.
