Alright heres the thing, I might end up moving to Oklahoma next summer and I am kinda scared. I looked up the tornado statistics and stuff and it freaks me out, beings that ive never been in a tornado. Could anyone tell me what its like to be in a tornado there? Do they ever happen at night? How often do they really happen? Are they usually really really destructive and cause devastation every time they hit?

thanks

An older one. Set in the 50s or 60s I think. A young guy and his girlfriend are running from the cops and he is killing people along the way. He put a family down in a tornado shelter then shot in to it a couple a times. At the end they get caught and hes giving the cops transporting him stuff out of his pockets as souvenirs. Think he was famous or something. Any ideas Thanks

So first id like to say that i LOVE all of my children very very much and id never ever hurt them…but somthing scared me this afternoon. I was sitting at work and i fell asleep for litterlly 3 seconds. The image i saw when my eyes closed made me sick and i started bawling i could not calm down or forget about it. It was just like a dream (a nightmare) ive been really exhausted for a while now and i could fall asleep in the middle of a tornado…so anyway i saw my baby sitting out in the back yard on a blanket but he was on the cement patio. i grabbed the corner and yanked it from under him and he fell and started crying. I jumped awake as i was going for him again. I dont know where this came from. I wasnt even thinking about him before it happened or anything. Just completly random. Please dont think im crazy or abusive i have NEVER hurt my kids and i have never felt like i wanted to. I just feel horrible. Have you ever had anything like this happen to you before?
Thanks EVERYONE for putting me at ease. Its been bothering me all day. Thank you for all your support!

For instance, the oil prices went up when the FEAR of a hurricane in the Gulf was announced. OH wait! No hurricane! Prices did not drop though! Then, the fear of Israel’s strike on Lebanon POSSIBLY causing Iran/Syria or other "oil nations" to cut supply. This didn’t happen. However, the Alaska pipeline debacle DID happen, and they’re raising prices AGAIN! How can they do that when prices never came back down for the hurricane that never happened, and the supply disruption from the Middle East never occuring?!?! Someone, please help me understand, or just at least spike the price of oil to some absurd number and LEAVE IT THERE so we can all budget our finances accordingly!!

We left Battle Creek and as we arrived in the State of Tennasee, we just missed getting hit by 6 Tornadoes. We saw a lot of damage. Fortunately, God was with us, because we were stopped because we needed gasoline. As we traveled along we got into a road block because of these tornadoes which slowed us down for at least 2 hours. We finally arrived at Atlanta to a Green Tree Hotel. Very nice. Very beautiful rooms and comfortable beds. We shopped in the underground area. Had lunch there and then went through the Coca Cola shopping and entertainment center. After that we shopped in a Mall and found some good buys. Then we headed back by rail. We were picked up by a van and taken back to the hotel. Tired, but refreshed by the hot tub and swimming pool. Then relaxed and watched TV and finally another day and off to sleep. Very nice.

Dear Red States:

We regret to inform you that we have decided to leave. We intend to form our own country and we are taking the other Blue States with us. In case cannot follow this line of logic, just know that these include California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and the entire Northeast. We believe this split will be beneficial to both new nations, especially to the people of the new country of New California.

To sum up briefly: You get Texas, Oklahoma and all the slave states. We get stem cell research, the best beaches, and the Statue of Liberty. You get Dollywood. We get Intel and Microsoft. You get Enron and WorldCom. We get Harvard. You get Ole’ Miss. We get 85 percent of America’s venture capital and entrepreneurs. You get Alabama. We get two-thirds of the tax revenue which means you get to make the red states pay their fair share.

Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22 percent lower than the Christian Coalition’s, we get a bunch of happy families. You get a bunch of single moms. Please be aware that Nuevo California will be pro-choice and anti-war. Accordingly, we expect all our citizens to return from Iraq at once. If you still need people to fight, just go ask your evangelicals. They seem to be willing to send to their kids to their deaths for no purpose, and they do not care if you refuse to show pictures of the caskets coming home. We do wish you success in Iraq, and we do hope that the WMDs turn up, but we are no longer willing to spend our resources in Bush’s Quagmire.

With the Blue States in hand, we will have firm control of 80 percent of the country’s fresh water, more than 90 percent of the pineapple and lettuce, 92 percent of the nation’s fresh fruit, 95 percent of America’s quality wines (you can serve French wines at state dinners), 90 percent of all cheese, 90 percent of the high tech industry, most of the U.S. low-sulfur coal, all living redwoods, sequoias and condors, all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools plus Stanford, Cal Tech and MIT. With the Red States, on the other hand, you will have to cope with 88 percent of all obese Americans (and their projected health care costs), 92 percent of all U.S. mosquitoes, nearly 100 percent of the tornadoes, 90 percent of the hurricanes, 99 percent of all Southern Baptists, virtually 100 percent of all televangelists, Rush Limbaugh, Bob Jones University, Clemson and the University of Georgia. We get Hollywood and Yosemite, thank you.

Additionally, 38 percent of those in the Red states believe Jonah was actually swallowed by a whale, 62 percent believe life is sacred unless we’re discussing the death penalty or gun laws, 44 percent say that evolution is only a theory, 53 percent that Saddam was involved in 9/11 and 61 percent of you crazy bastards believe you are people with higher morals then we lefties. Please take them with our compliments.

Peace out,

The Blue States

By the way…I did not write it. I just wanted to pass it along. I think it is the funniest think I have read in the past month.

Former WWE champ John Cena vs. Team McDonald
(Ronald McDonald, Grimis, Hamburgular, and Birdie) in a 4 on 1 handicap match? And remembver, all four of them can go after Cena and pummel him all at the same time.

Would team McDonald win or would John Cena once again "overcome the odds"?

How’d the match go?
When "Rated-R Superstar Tomo Takino" is done rolling on her floor laughing, she can give me her reply by hitting the "edit" button on where she posted her insignificant reply.

I swear, she goes into my room, snoops through my stuff, and LOOKS for things to complain about. I don’t think I’m that bad at all, and sure, I’m not the cleanest person in the world. My room doesn’t look like a picture from "Better Homes and Gardens" but it doesn’t look like a tornado hit it, either. She makes me feel terrible and guilty and self-doubting. I wish I could move out, but the only way I could do that is to be homeless. she calls me fat all the time, (and she is fat, too) what do i do?

Ok, short but sweet. I have a BS degree in Industrial Tech (tried Mech Engr, couldn’t cut it). Worked 1 year in oilfield as MWD engr. Then spent two years in retail flooring sales working for stepfather. (liked it) Flooring distributor out of New Orleans hired me for outside sales. (Loved it) Hurricane Katrina came, and all but destroyed this distributor. Year later after still not receiving any commisions (company said they could not afford it) and having problems supplying my customers, left them for a job of outside sales in Oilfield. This is where I am currently, and I am not doing well. The customers are hard to locate and meet with, everyone is tightly knit here, it is not what you know, but who you know, and people are used to getting money under the table.(Which I will not do nor will my boss). Perhaps I am just not good at sales, but I really like sales. I have never been an outstanding salesman, could I be barking up the wrong tree? Love people, heck I’m a magician too! Help
