Just wondering, can bank employees get in?
Are they fire proof?
How about storms. tornadoes etc?
I have a lot of cash in mine, getting nervous.

If a category EF5 tornado were to directly hit your home, how safe would you actually be in the basement?
Could a storm that strong suck you out of your basement?
What are the chances the house could collapse on top of you?

I am asking these questions because I will be relocating to Amarillo, Texas, which is right inside tornado alley, and I want to know where I should go should an EF5 tornado hit us.

I mean just look at the photos on the news of the aftermath. Usually the whole house is leveled.
Care to share any survivor stories or tips?
We don’t have basements in Tx.

We have an in-ground tornado shelter in our back yard. currently there is a flower garden over the top of it. I was thinking about expanding the flower garden and turning it into a vegetable garden. Should this be a problem?

I was wondering if anyone lived through that horrible day in Oklahoma, and how has the city recovered since then? I am doing research on tornado’s and am looking for information. My heart goes out to anyone whose family went through that day. Thank all of you!

Where Can I Find Copyright Free Videos? I Need Good Footage Of Tornadoes, But They Need To Be Copyright Free. And So Far I’ve Searched, Yahoo, Google, And Some Other Sites, And Got Nothing. Can Anyone Help Me Out? BTW, I Never Understood The Purpose Of "Copyright Free" Technically, As Long As You Give Credit To All Your Sources, You’re Not Violating Any Copyrights? Anyone Care To Explain That To Me?

I really want to go to college in California, possibly around Malibu, Los Angeles, Hollywood, stuff like that. If not Texas is my next choice, i don't care where in texas as long as there are no big hurricanes or tornadoes. My goal in life is to open up my own bakery, what are some great colleges for that? In the are described above..

The National Weather Service just issued a Tornado Watch for my area. I know what to do in tornadoes, all the safety advice i Could know, I know . But even knowing all this, I just moved to VA, a year ago, and have never been in a tornado. And I am 12, and I am really scared of them. Anyone have any advice to overcome my fears?? And anyone that has ever been in a tornado, like the tornado actually hit where they were, have any stories on what it was like??? I would really appreciate it so if a warning goes out I can be less afraid of what might happen. Thank you so much!
god this is a crappy day to spend the 4th of july. lol

I live in Alabama. We have just been released from work due to severe weather and Tornado warnings. Schools have been cancelled as well as daycares all over town. I have a long drive home. I work in the city but live way out in the country. I am driving about an hour down the interstate (no ditches that I can think of) and then 20 more minutes down back country roads. What should I do if a tornado comes??

so am i gonna die or what?

I can't understand why they build so many weak homes all over the US ,and then they wait for tornadoes and hurricanes to destroy them to build them again.Does it have to do with insurance industry??They are making big money!!!!But we're los human lives ,losing billions of dollars in material.I can't believe they can't build a home secured agaisnt all of these disasters!

I see the huge tornado ( as terrific as this one in this picture : http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/eye-of-tornado-1.jpg), that is approaching, and I am in middle of nowhere (only country fields around me), and I finally see a house and I'm trying to reach the house before the tornado kills me…

What is it supposed to mean, in a dream?

Thanks
Oh, the link doesn't work…
Maybe this one will…

Big Government finances FEMA with taxes. So why can't Big Government finance catastrophic health insurance with taxes?

Tornados and cancer are both random acts of Mother Nature and should be treated the same way: with single-payer insurance. Isn't that what universal health care is all about?

Let's all pull together and make life easier for all.
Creep 411 and others: Of course FEMA couldn't do anything right when it was in the hands of people who do not believe that government should do anything else than regime change. I think FEMA can be well managed by people with experience and good will.

Heath care choices will always have to be made whether by government or private insurance. Half of health care cost happens in the last year of life. Public payment for that has to stop. I don't think old people want that either.

I've always wondered how they resonate so loudly, and I can't seem to find out how they work anywhere… Thanks!
I've always wondered how they resonate sound so well. I've seen a few different types. One right next to my college looks like a regular horn, and I've seen others that have a stack of horns, and another that is a tube shape. I figured that the shape of the siren doesn't make a difference and that it's something inside that makes the difference? I'd like a really thorough explanation for this, thanks!

To send life jackets and ricola?

FQ: What is the most hostile weather stadium in football? I'd think the elevation of a Bolivian stadium or the -20 degrees of a Russian stadium.

I have noticed in alot of video footage that tornadoes tend to level anything they go through as opposed to "sucking" debris into it
Do tornadoes actually suck things up and spit them out or do cars and animals just get tossed about in high speed lateral winds
